Chapter 33: Until the End of the World
The dwarves were looking at the gnomes with murderous vigour, and the gnomes were unaware and continued to point fingers at the dwarves' digging efforts.
He argues that the dwarves have not used gunpowder blasting enough to open up mines, which is a testament to their weakness. Only the large-scale use of gunpowder could dig deep quickly, effectively increasing the production of coal and iron ore - so he wanted to set a proper example for the dwarves. Then, under the guidance of the gnomes, the steam engine was vigorously developed for drainage and mining, and then the industrial revolution was promoted, and the stupid human digging of the dwarves was abandoned.
He was approving about Russia's nuclear bombs fighting fires and digging reservoirs. This way of using particulate weapons is very much in line with the explosive aesthetics of the gnomes.
Of course, the modest gnomes reluctantly praised the ancient dwarves under the Neverwinter Volcano, believing that their level of use of heat was one of the ten thousand that barely approached the gnomes in the Leave His Mountains alone, so that the dwarves should not be too discouraged by their stupid iron heads.
Although the clever gnomes' revolutionary new steam engine had a few minor problems, on average each explosion and then a new machine would consume more iron than it mined.
Seeing the dwarves' increasingly gloomy faces, Thomas quickly dragged away the gnomes who were cramming gunpowder into his bag, and headed for the crack that led to the treasure land.
Although the dwarves had dug through the mountain with forks in the road, the three of them followed the path that Stoke Silverstream had told them to come to a tunnel guarded by several dwarves, thanks to the map of the dwarves Slorin and Konata.
At the head of the group is a female dwarf wearing shining silver armor and a winged helmet, a true silver Valkyrie who is extremely popular among the dwarves. It is said that this female dwarf was chosen by Bellenne True Silver to protect the male dwarves, and that the oath made to her was not to be disobeyed, so she was assigned to guard the place to prevent anyone from digging up.
Thomas couldn't help but make up for the fact that the Swan Girl's body was actually short and thick, and he couldn't help but feel sick, but he thought that Mina's vision should not be so bad.
The other dwarves don't look at each other very right, as if their wives have been poached (although Thomas thinks that the dwarves' wives and brothers should mean the same thing.) Thomas and the three are not very welcome to explore the Black Ice.
The mother and the dwarf said something to Slorin worriedly, and the latter apparently did not pay attention. Thomas felt that the scene was very similar to himself and Mina.
"What did she just say to you?" Thomas asked, heading down deeper into the tunnel.
"What else could there be? Just like Mina, I'm just worried about the boredom of the black ice! Maybe the black ice has some side effects like they said, but the few people who tried the black ice also said: the weapons caused by the black ice are cold, and the armor can withstand the cold, and the necklace jewelry can help repair the body's injuries!"
Because of the black ice that was about to arrive, the three of them seemed to be in high spirits. The dwarf deliberately took two pickaxes with pure gold heads, and Thomas carried the mining powder that had been processed by the gnomes on his back.
The three of them entered the gap in the mountain from the tunnel, supported their hands and feet from side to side, and crawled diagonally.
"No," said the dwarf suddenly, "according to the touch, this crack doesn't look like it used to exist before, but it looks like it has only been cracked in the last few months." ”
"I don't know how you feel about stones, but I've noticed the stench of minced flesh in many places, and maybe the undead invaded from here. Well, there are traces of claws, and monsters that can grasp rocks seem to have passed by here as well. ”
"It seems that there must be a danger ahead!, have I told you about my Uncle Zuoke, who died because of gluttony?" said the dwarf suddenly.
Ignoring the dwarves' frightened eyes, Thomas resolutely said, "I haven't said this, my good dwarf. ”
There was no sadness on the dwarf's face, and he said, "He once followed a pastry path to the candy hut where the ghosts had set a trap. Finally everyone else told him to leave, but he still believed that he would not be the last and insisted on eating the hut all!"
He snorted hypocritically: "In the end, he couldn't run because he ate too much, and he was unfortunately caught by the ghost women." But that's fine, at least he'll destroy the evil trap of the ghost woman, and he'll never bother with tooth decay again!"
The gap between the two sides of the crack was large and small, but it was always through, and Thomas didn't even have to turn his body sideways with his hands and feet. However, the dwarf has less strength and short hands and feet, and needs Thomas's help to climb.
By the time the two of them had climbed out of the crack, the dwarf had been standing on the ground and looking out from afar.
It's a semi-open-air valley with steep cliffs and little sunlight to get into, with only a few trees growing in a few places. More of the surface is covered by dwarven style buildings.
The two-headed, square dwarf figures serve as gears to form the mood of the mechanism, and the large, thick stone blocks form several storeys of houses and slab bridges, from which there is a slope nearby, and then a stone bridge spread out on the roof leads to a tower in the distance.
Thomas walked up the second floor from the slope and found that the tower was surrounded by roads, and the height of the second floor was quite a few tower-like buildings.
"Huh, what is this?" he asked as he heard the gnome grin.
Thomas turned his head to see that the gnome was circling around the statue at the height of the first floor, and he kept pressing his hands to and fro.
With the dwarf's temptation, suddenly the statue's eyes lit up, and with the friction sound of "squeak, squeak, squeak", the limbs stretched out.
"Password?"
"Password?" the dwarf tilted his head.
"Intruder discovered!
The dwarf was stunned for a moment, and then ran, and the two little short legs moved quickly. Thomas threw an arrow past him, trying to get attention, but the arrow didn't go in at all.
The dwarf rushed forward, rising from the ground, through his hips, waist, and shoulders, and slicing a large gap in the statue with an axe.
The dwarf who ran away turned his head and cast a spell, but it didn't work at all: "Oh no! It's a golem!"
Thomas had already had a premonition, and he was about to shoot when he drew the Adamantite Arrow, when two clouds of black smoke drifted out of the crack.
