Seeing me tossing and turning, Sun Wukong asked, "Is Master cold?"

"Just finished eating, don't feel cold. ”

"Master has something on his mind, but it has something to do with seeing Guanyin Bodhisattva today. ”

I replied, "Guanyin Bodhisattva is here for you. ”

"Guanyin Bodhisattva knows my sins five hundred years ago, and today I killed six thieves, the Bodhisattva is afraid that I will not be disciplined by the master. ”

Or maybe this monkey is smart.

"Today's six thieves you also saw the strange, the name of the six thieves is actually six, in order to grind the difficulty of my master and apprentice, the Bodhisattva has good intentions, but the teacher is a little flattered, in the future you and I must concentrate on practice, arrive at the spiritual mountain as soon as possible, and meet my Buddha to worship the true scriptures. ”

Sun Wukong added a branch to the fire, "Master, what is the purpose of the Bodhisattva making these six roots?" ”

Even if you don't understand the Dharma, I believe many people have heard a word that is often used in monks—the six impure roots.

In TV dramas, there is often a person who accuses a certain monk, saying that you are a monk so, so greedy for money, and the six roots are not pure!

However, the real monks know that this sentence is actually wrong.

I explained to Sun Wukong: "The six roots, like the name of the six thieves, are the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind. ”

What is called eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind, is our senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch and thinking, that is, our organs and analytical ability to perceive the outside world.

"Six roots give birth to six senses, eyes and colors, ears to hear sounds, nose to smell incense, tongue to taste, body to feel, and habitat. ”

When we perceive the outside world through different organs, we produce a variety of emotions.

"The six senses enter the six dusts, the six dusts confuse the six roots, and the six impure roots sink into the cycle of life and death. ”

Once you have emotions for the outside world, you are easy to be disturbed and tempted by all kinds of external things and environments, as long as you have the emotions of reluctance and greed for things and the environment, it is the six impurities, so to speak, the worldly people are all six impure.

People in the world often only care about the more sensitive emotions of men and women, gold, silver and money, and think that as long as the monks come into contact with these, they are the six impurities, and if they do not touch the erotic property, they are the six purities, but they do not realize that coveting a certain thing and a certain environment is called the six impurities, and the six impurities cannot transcend life and death.

For example, when you smell fragrant food, you are hungry, you choose the more beautiful food in all kinds of foods, because the food is clean, you like it, you get rid of it when it sticks to dust, you want to eat delicious food and you want to eat it often, you eat happily in an elegant hall, and you are irritable when you eat in a dirty place.

The reason why monks keep the vows is to protect themselves from the six impure roots by limiting their senses from being polluted by the world, and it is precisely because of the six impure roots that the monks take the vows and practice.

The six pure roots can be interconnected with the six roots, which is simply to see with the eyes, not only can you observe its shape, but also know the sound and taste of things, and listen to it with your ears, you can know its shape and feel.

The six roots give birth to the six senses, the six senses are interconnected, and the six senses enter the six dusts and are spotless, which is the real six roots of purity.

Sun Wukong asked: "Then if the apprentice killed the six thieves today, is it considered to be six pure?"

I smiled and shook my head, "I don't know." ”

Sun Wukong nodded thoughtfully and did not speak again.

In fact, these six roots of tranquility are not to close the senses, but to be able to control oneself through practice, to endure the hardships that ordinary people cannot endure, to endure the hardships that ordinary people cannot bear, to do what mortals cannot do, to get rid of the cycle of life and death, to contain all beings, and to subdue the demons.

This is also the reason why the main hall dedicated to the statue of Shakyamuni Nyorai Buddha is called the Mahavira Hall.

Who is the Buddha, that is the "Nampowan" in our Buddhism! So of course he deserves the title of Nobita, and of course, if you have a robot cat from the future, you can also call Nobita.

After accepting Sun Wukong as an apprentice, he arranged for us to meet the six thieves, which should let us know the importance of controlling the six roots, if we don't control the six roots, it will be like facing the bandits' gains and losses, sinking and earthly desires.

But today Sun Wukong uses the method of killing to manage the six roots, isn't this contrary to Buddhism, Xitian arranged such a show, what kind of way do you want us to face the six thieves, is it really my original idea, cowardice, spend money to eliminate the disaster?

I can't figure it out, if I didn't know that I wouldn't have become a Buddha at all, no matter what hardships I encountered along the way, I wouldn't want to go to the West Heaven without any thoughts.

But now that I know some true thoughts, in the face of such a strange way of learning the scriptures, no matter who I meet or anything, I can't help but think more.

The Buddha increased the torture while imprisoning Sun Wukong, so that Sun Wukong got the opportunity to be released from prison early, and specially selected people to learn scriptures through the water and land puja of the Tang King, and went to the west to learn scriptures with great fanfare.

arranged six thieves to block the way, and then sent this tight hoop hidden in the flower hat, with such a powerful torture instrument, Sun Wukong naturally did not dare to make another time, it does look like Sun Wukong destroyed the six meanings and guarded the six roots.

But these clumsy performances seem to be just deliberately done for people to see, and I don't see the Buddha's good intentions at all, but only deliberate management.

But when Buddhism is doing these actions, doesn't Heavenly Court react at all, has it already admitted defeat, is Heavenly Court really afraid of the Buddha?

No, it's not like that, the forces of Heavenly Court have long been involved in this propaganda activity to learn from the scriptures, it was Tai Bai Xing who saved me when I fell into the demon cave, and it was Liu Boqin who saved me when I encountered poisonous snakes and fierce insects in the mountains, and every step I took was watched by Lingshan and Heavenly Court.

The difference is that the Buddha has been adding to my tribulations, while Heaven has been helping me.

There were so many tribulations arranged on the way to learn the scriptures, firstly, to prove to the world that the true scriptures were not easy to come by, and secondly, to let me have some understanding in the tribulations, and after obtaining the true scriptures, I would teach the enlightened Buddhist teachings to the world.

And Heavenly Court has been helping me, in addition to letting me see that Heavenly Court cares about me, how do I feel, it seems that it wants me to change my attitude towards Buddhism.

Heavenly Court did not directly intervene in the matter of learning scriptures, and it is estimated that it still looks down on these small actions of Xitian.

If you think about it carefully, it is indeed true, although there are many Bodhisattvas and Buddhas in the West, but Buddhism only affects those small countries in the West, such as my buddy Tang King Li Shimin, who sacrifices to the sky every year, but has never been a Buddha.

What is the heaven that the emperor worshipped, that is, God, who is God, Haotian God! Who is Haotian God, the husband of the Queen Mother! And where is the Queen Mother, in Yaochi, one of the 36 palaces of Heaven! Who is the boss of Heaven, Sanqing and the Jade Emperor, they are Taoists!

Speaking of which, it is easy to understand that even though Buddhism has affected several small border countries in the Western Heavens, the four major continents in the world mainly believe in Taoist immortals.

Even the West Niu He Continent, where the Great Lei Yin Temple of the Eagle Mountain is located, is also under the jurisdiction of the Heavenly Court, and the Western Wide-Eyed Heavenly King is the guardian of this West Niu He Continent.

It's just that I don't understand why the Four Heavenly Kings are obviously the patron saints of my Buddhism, but they are listening to the dispatch of the Jade Emperor in the heavenly court.

Of course, all these are also myths and legends that I only learned when I came to this world, if I used to talk about heaven, I would only think of the TV series, the Jade Emperor who got under the table and shouted to invite the Buddha.

I have to say that even my motherland, the Tang Dynasty, is also prevalent in Taoism, from the emperor officials to the poor people, although they believe in a variety of things, most of them are immortals in the heavenly court.

The emperor and queen of heaven will not talk about the earth, what stove king, the god of wealth, the birthday star, and even the Yama that people fear, are all civil servants sent by the heavenly court to the underworld.

However, Li Shimin, the king of the Tang Dynasty, once told me that the reason why he wanted to mobilize the people to hold the water and land conference was because when he was in the Yin Cao, Judge Cui took Li Shimin to go through the Yin Cao, and that one-day trip to the underworld naturally scared him a lot.

Judge Cui finally instructed Li Shimin to return to the yang world to do a "water and land conference" to surpass the undead, this Judge Cui is managed by the Taoist forces of the Heavenly Court, not to mention to do Taoist yin and yang rituals, but instructed Li Shimin to do a Buddhist water and land conference, which is equivalent to you going to KFC for dinner, and the waiter at KFC tells you that McDonald's burgers are particularly delicious, this Judge Cui must be a traitor.

In the face of Rulai's behavior of expanding the power of the Western Heavens, did Heavenly Court really admit it, I don't think so, with the current strength of Heavenly Court, it is impossible not to detect the actions of the Interpretation, and the reason why it has not taken any major actions is that the Heavenly Court has not taken the Interpretation Sect in its eyes at all.

I looked at the flames dancing in the fire and thought wildly, and Sun Wukong asked with concern: "Master can wear this cotton robe to return the cold?"
