The three witches, a Trissina (lust), a Rotti (lust), and a Raja (greed), they are dressed up and decorated, Luo kills the wind, Lan Musk is lush, Ling Bo walks to Shakyamuni, courteous and flattering, peach-faced. But Shakyamuni was deeply silent and turned a blind eye, like a lotus flower out of the sludge without staining.
The three witches refused to give up, and tried their best to bewitch and bewitch themselves, and Shakyamuni admonished them: "Although you are in good shape, your heart is not right, like a beautiful glass bottle dung storage machine, you don't know your shame, do you dare to come to deceive people?" "And the magic power, so that the witch can see her own evil state, only to see the skeleton joints, skin and tendons, pus sacs and spit, ugly and filthy, after the witch saw it, her mind turned, ashamed and ashamed, prostrate and escaped.
The demon king Bo Xun was very angry when he saw that the witch was useless. He relied on his supernatural powers, summoned all his demon generals, demon soldiers, poisonous insects and monsters, brought poisonous thunder and poisonous arrows, and killed Shakyamuni like bees and ants.
Shakyamuni sat on the throne of Vajra without fear of alarm. The demon king's poisonous thunder and poisonous arrows were scattered everywhere they went. He told the Demon King, "The reason why I have attained the Bodhisattva Path is because since the three monks have been in the realm of the three monks for several eons, they have accumulated immeasurable merits and wisdom and completed the six ten thousand actions. When you come against me, don't you strike a stone with an egg and destroy yourself? ”
The demon king did not listen to the advice, blindly arrogant, and led the crowd forward, Shakyamuni's body was pure, and the demons all fell. The Emperor of Heaven asked the Bodhisattva to help, and the Bodhisattva made the Dharma, and the flood surged, and the demons and monsters were drowned in it, and they retreated in embarrassment.
Shakyamuni sat under the Bodhi tree for 48 days, it was the seventh day of the twelfth month, and on this night, the sky was clear and the wind was smooth. He sat silently on the Vajra throne, manifested all kinds of meditation realms, looked at the immeasurable worlds of the ten directions and all the things in the past and present worlds and future lives, and saw the cause and effect of the Three Realms.
The Buddhist scriptures say that when Shakyamuni became a Buddha, the earth shook the heavens, gods and people praised together, and the many sufferings of the three realms of hell, hungry ghosts, beasts, and beasts were breathed for a while, and the heavenly drums sounded in unison, making wonderful sounds, heavenly rain mandala flowers, manjusa flowers, golden flowers, silver flowers, glazed flowers, treasure flowers, seven treasure lotus, etc.
At this point, Shakyamuni had attained the bodhi path and began to teach his disciples the true meaning of the universe that he had realized.
After Shakyamuni became a Buddha, he engaged in preaching the Dharma. He knew that the five attendants who had followed him were practicing asceticism in the Deer Wild Garden of Benares, and when they were about to be transformed, they went to the Deer Wild Garden.
In Sarnath, Shakyamuni preached to the five people, including Chenru; The path of desire should prevent two extremes, one is to share a life of pleasure and indulgence, which is depravity, and the other is to live an ascetic life, which is suffering. Avoiding these two extremes and walking in the middle path can lead to wisdom and enlightenment, and you can cultivate the "Noble Eightfold Path" and get rid of the suffering of birth and death. After hearing this, the five people bowed and dressed. He also told the five people the method of the Four Noble Truths of birth and death, and the five of them, including Chenru, took refuge in Shakyamuni and were ordained as bhikshus at the same time, becoming the earliest believers.
They followed the path advocated by Shakyamuni and soon attained arhat fruit. Arhats are the birth fruits of Theravada Buddhism, and they have been liberated from birth and death, and they no longer come to the Three Realms to be reborn, so they are not extinguished.
Since then, Shakyamuni has been preaching in northern India and in the central Ganges River valley, recruiting disciples, establishing a sangha community, and laying the teachings of primitive Buddhism.
In a few years, Shakyamuni successively converted the prince of the country of Paranas, Yasha, the famous Mahakala who specialized in the way of fire, and many others, and in the city of Magadha, the king of Phimpasara, and his son Ayanshi, also took refuge in the Buddha, and in the acropolis, the king of Kusara also took refuge in the Buddha. Shakyamuni has many disciples, according to legend, there are 500 people, among which there are 10 famous ones, namely Mahakalpa, Sariputta, Moggallian, Subodhi and other ten disciples.
After all the disciples begged for the precepts, they all walked alone, were brave and diligent, upright and honest, and never let go. And often travel to the four directions, compassion and education, and purify sentient beings.
After Shakyamuni formed the Sangha, he often sat on the lotus platform of the thousand leaves and lectured to the monks and disciples.
The method he said has the "three refuges and five precepts" of Buddhism. The so-called three refuges, that is, taking refuge in the Buddha, taking refuge in the law, and taking refuge in the Sangha, the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha are the three treasures of Buddhism. The so-called five precepts are to abstain from killing, stealing, adultery, falsehood, and drinking and eating meat.
The Dharma preached by Shakyamuni mainly includes the "Four Noble Truths", "Eightfold Path", and "Twelve Causes", which roughly means that everything that exists in the world is a phenomenon of all kinds of suffering, that is, the so-called "boundless sea of suffering"; The cause of suffering is lust and greed, and if the state wants to get rid of suffering, it must eradicate desire, follow the correct path of Buddhism, and attain the state of nirvana, which is always happy and pure.
In addition, Shakyamuni also advocated the equality of castes, saying: "You should not ask where you live, but what you do. ”
Soon after Shakyamuni attained enlightenment, he stayed in the Vulture Mountain in the east of the city of Magadha, when Mahakalpa, Saribuddha and Moggallan were following him and listening to him. At this time, he heard that his father, King Jingfan, was already sick, and he was thirsty for affection. Thinking: Now that the Buddha's path has been completed, the father will no longer cause dust obstacles when he returns to the province, so he took Mahakala and the other three back to Kapila to defend the country.
When the king heard that Prince Datta had returned from becoming a Buddha, he was overjoyed, so he helped the sick and led his ministers out of the city with the queen to greet him. The relatives and people also burned incense and offered flowers to welcome each other.
After Shakyamuni returned to his homeland, he preached Buddhism, and many relatives and people also vied for it. Kapila defends Buddhism, and those who have attained the Tao are like forests.
Three months later, King Pure Rice died of illness. Shakyamuni held a cremation ceremony for him, overtook his ascension to heaven, and collected his bones and built a pagoda to make offerings. After the funeral, he still led his disciples to leave his homeland.
After Shakyamuni returned to Kapila, his wife, Yasendhara, and his son Rahula, who was seven years old and wise, also went to greet him.
In the picture, the person who kneels to greet the Buddha is Raja and Yasundhara. The other two were Ananda, Shakyamuni's cousin, and Youpoli, a barber in the royal palace.
Shakyamuni preached the Dharma to them and later ordained them. Raja, Ananda, and Upali all cultivated into arhat fruits, and together they became the ten disciples of the Buddha. After the Buddha's extinction, Ananda, because of his many listening to the Dharma and his strong memory, recited the truth of the reality of the universe of life that the Buddha said.
Yajendhara later became the first bhikshuni after taking refuge in Buddhism with Shakyamuni's aunt Mahaphaphati.
Shakyamuni traveled and preached in northern India, and one day sat quietly under a tree in the forest, with a halo on his head, towering, like the light of the sun and the moon, shining in all directions.
There was a poor girl in the village who worked as a servant for everyone, she was kind and virtuous, and she believed in the Three Jewels. At that time, when I saw the Buddha from afar, I was happy, but I was powerless, and I did not refrain from making offerings, that is, I went to the wilderness, collected fragrant flowers and fresh fruits, and offered to the Buddha.
Knowing her intentions, Shakyamuni smiled and showed great compassion to her, and said, "All sentient beings should be sincere at all times and everywhere and plant good causes. Don't think of the poor as the lowly, and don't despise the small charity, thinking that it is not a blessing.
After the girl heard the Dharma, she understood the wisdom of the Buddha, and was determined to follow the Buddha to separate from the dust and all turbid suffering, and cultivate herself diligently to seek liberation. Shakyamuni made her a monk and was called Guanyin ······! (To be continued.) )
