Chapter 5 Aviation Bases
Chapter 5 Aviation Bases
The Taklamakan Desert is located in the Tarim Basin of Xinjiang, covering an area of nearly 350,000 square kilometers, thousands of years ago, it was still a lush forest, the Tarim River and other major rivers run through the entire basin, dozens of principalities thrive here, the ancient Silk Road makes it extremely brilliant here, this former world commercial center makes people's ** infinite expansion, the war destroyed everything here, the land became a desert, the desert dominated everything, and these countries also disappeared in the long river of history.
Now it has changed a lot, the tall walls on the outskirts of the desert have blocked the sand inside, and various plants have been planted around the outside of the walls, forming a green collar to wrap a yellow heart. Three hundred towers up to one thousand meters high have been erected in the entire desert, all composed of stone made of sand, and inside are energy reactors, which together produce a protective shield to cover the entire desert including the surrounding 500,000 square kilometers of land, and the water vapor will never run away again, and some of the original oases are also slowly recovering under the protective shield.
The sand thickness of the Taklamakan Desert reaches 300 meters, there are three peaks 1,500 meters above the sand surface, and dozens of peaks of about 1,000 meters. In order to completely eradicate the quicksand and sandstorms, I started to build a wall directly from the most rocky layer of the desert, used sand as raw material, processed it into square stones, erected a wall with a height of 400 meters, and divided the entire desert in units of every 20 kilometers of length.
In the center of the desert, an aviation base covering an area of 10,000 square kilometers is slowly taking shape thanks to the efforts of tens of thousands of soldiers. To the west of the base is a mountain range with an average height of more than 1,000 meters on the sand surface, with a peak of 1,800 meters. The underground structure is 2,000 meters deep and is the core of the entire base.
The southeast, north, south and north sides of the base are as high as 500 meters of city walls, only one entrance and exit is left in the east, and the entrance is two thousand meters inward, it is a 100-story welcome building, the height is the same as the city wall, and a five-star red flag is fluttering in the wind on the square. In the base, all Chinese astronauts work and live here, and here, there is a production line for spacecraft, from which China's interstellar space dream will start.
The Taklamakan Desert is quite rich in resources, with reserves of coal, oil, and natural gas equivalent to a South China Sea, as well as more than a dozen metal minerals, and a super-large gem mine deep underground. Numerous underground rivers serve as bases for the entire desert, and it won't be long before it becomes China's largest oasis.
At this moment, a one-thousand-meter-long spaceship was moored on the tarmac opposite the General Headquarters Building, flanked by ten small spaceships one hundred meters long, reflecting a swarthy metallic glow in the sunlight. In the central conference room of the General Headquarters, the leadership of the Chinese government gathered together, and today, they can fly into space on a spacecraft as they wish.
The three heads and twelve deputies of the Zhejiang base, as well as three hundred assistants, will board the spacecraft for the first time as the spacecraft commander and drive the spacecraft away from the earth. They are also the first candidates for commanders of future space warships.
"Tianzi No. 1 is ready."
"Tianzi No. 2 is ready."
······
"Tianzi No. 1 can take off."
······
"Tianzi 10 can take off..."
Ten small spaceships rose into space one by one under the command of the base control tower, everything is normal, and the only large spaceship will take the leaders to experience the space journey.
After a slight tremor, the spacecraft sailed away from the base, without the oppression they imagined, and after a while, everyone felt light, and the spacecraft had broken away from the earth's gravity and entered space. Then the ecosystem activated, and everyone unfastened their safety devices, stood up, and looked at the blue planet outside the cabin.
After orbiting the earth for a week, the spacecraft flew towards the moon, and it didn't take long for the spaceship to land on the tarmac of Dragon City, and everyone looked up to see that a kilometer-long metal dragon was roaring in the sky, as if it was welcoming the arrival of the dragon's descendants!
