Chapter 12: Wen Jin's Notes
See this line. I took a deep breath. The horror in my heart was indescribable.
The content of this text. Not the one that surprised me the most. Let's be honest. The moment I saw the notebook. I also thought that I might see something like this. I was suffocated for a moment. It's that signature.
"Chen Wenjin!"
Oh, my God. I really didn't expect that. This thing would have been left behind by her. Put it this way. Send me a videotape and lead me here. Is that her?
It's really a twist and turn. It's confusing again. Although the third uncle did not say anything about her. But in my concept. She must have died on a certain side. How could it suddenly appear at such a time. And. And brought me here?
And in this short paragraph. There's so much information included. What three people? Which three? What is it? Who we mean. Could it be the people of Xisha? What research? What secret?
Countless thoughts crossed my mind. I didn't have time to think about any of them. I set my mind. I immediately flipped through the notes. I looked behind me.
It's a thick notebook. There are twenty-six or seven pages full of letters. It's all dense words. Extremely neatly written. There are also a lot of drawings. It looks like a work notebook.
I put the lighter on the edge of the drawer that I pulled out. Then sit on it yourself. Immediately looked at it calmly.
Just turned the first page. The page after the title page. I was immediately shaken off. I saw a strange drawing on it. The painting is very jīng.
The painting consists of only seven lines. Six curved lines and an irregular circle. I just recalled a little. I immediately found out that this was what the third uncle described to me. The figure translated from the Warring States Silk Book.
I was amazed. It seems that Wenjin is quite powerful. It's very difficult to get to this shape. Put it this way. She was also interested in the graphic.
However. It's different from the sketch that the third uncle drew for me. This time, there is a mark on the painting. I broke out in a cold sweat when I saw it. I saw these six curves. Each has a black dot. It seems that this is what the third uncle told me. The six stars chosen by aligning the astrolabe with the straight line. However, on four of the black dots. But I saw a few small words.
From top to bottom. It is:
Changbai Mountain - Genting Heavenly Palace
Guazi Temple - Seven Star Lu Palace
Reclining Buddha Ridge - Tianguan Temple Pagoda
Shatou Reef - Submarine shipwreck grave
I inhaled air conditioning as I watched. After a few seconds of confusion. All of a sudden, it's like an initiation. Immediately understood what I was seeing.
Dizzy. It's so dizzy. Could it be that the curves of this figure. It turned out to be in the big dragon vein of Wang Zanghaiding. A map of each mountain range?
Look closely at the curves. I found out that this was indeed the case. Because it's not on the map. So these six lines don't remind me of that at all. It just feels like the meridians of a leaf or a map of a river. However, now take a look. I immediately saw that this was actually a "dragon". Six lines. It's the dragon's head, the dragon's tail, and the dragon's limbs! Each line is a mountain range. And the dots on the line. It is the treasure eye on the mountain.
Then this is not what Jude Kao said about the star map at all!
All of a sudden, I was cold. Realized what was going on. No way. Either Jude Cow is misleading. Otherwise, this old demon jīng deceived the third uncle!
Look at the two lines that are not written. I immediately noticed that there were black spots on it as well. But all the questions written on the side are question marks. Apparently. These should also be the dragon veins to which the great feng shui belongs. However, the situation of the dragon eye above. It's not clear.
I was almost overwhelmed by the sudden shock. I really didn't expect that. As soon as you flip through the laptop, you will be subject to this subversion. I immediately closed my notes and took a deep breath. Still, the hand was shaking. I am reminded of the sentence on the title page: the contents of it. There are some huge secrets involved. The heart says you don't have to stimulate me so much on the first page!
However. This shock was quickly replaced by ecstasy. I gritted my teeth and patted my chest. Get rid of that feeling of suffocation. I opened the note again.
Take a closer look at the graphic. This time. I see the more critical aspects.
I saw it outside of six lines. A blank space surrounded by six curved lines. The inside of that circle. There is also a black dot. This black dot is not on any of the lines. dúlì and lonely is located roughly in the center of the whole figure.
And on the edge of this black dot. There is also a line of small letters: Qaidam - Tamuda.
I don't understand this. But below this line of small print. Several deep lines were drawn. There are also two or three question marks. Apparently. on this picture. That's what matters. And. When drawing. Wen Jin has any questions. So I drew these question marks while thinking about it.
Judging by the experience on the side. This should also represent one party. Qaidam? Talmuda? Is it also an ancient tomb? I said in my heart. Why is this on the outside of the line?
Suddenly. I suddenly realized. Wen Jin knows. Much more than us. It seems that this notebook will give me quite a few questions. Thinking. I immediately flipped through the notebook. Let's start reading the rest of the story.
What's next. It's a mixture of words and pictures. The handwriting on it is very neat. It's also very well organized. However. The font size is small. In the slightly dim firelight of the lighter. It looks like it's struggling.
I set my mind. Gather the god jīng. I watched it with my heart. While watching. On the other hand, I felt more and more confused. At the same time, I felt disappointed. Wait until after you finish reading. My doubts and disappointments reached their peak. I stayed there. It's hard to describe the feeling in my heart.
The content of the entire notebook can be roughly divided into three parts. More than 100,000 words. It's all a record of work similar to rì keeping. The content of the record is very cumbersome. But according to what is recorded in it. It can be roughly divided into three parts.
The first part was recorded from April 2, 1990 to March 6, 1991. It is not possible to transcribe the entire notebook here. I can only abbreviate it and pick the most critical chapters. in order to see clearly. The first part reads as follows:
April 2, 1990
We have numbered most of the porcelain in the catacombs. Almost all the porcelain was copied. Compare the murals at the same time. I hope to find out the trajectory of Wang Zanghai's life. Through such comparisons. We did find some patterns. Something recorded in a mural. It's the experience of his life. And the content of porcelain paintings. It was the process of his construction project. This is evidenced by the few series we have put together. For example, entering the Eastern Xia Kingdom - building the Genting Heavenly Palace. There was also a reward from Zhu Yuanzhang for designing the Ming Imperial Palace. have found their way out. And in the order of the burial chambers. It is easy to distinguish the order of these times. And it corresponds one-to-one.
Extrapolated in this way. These murals. All of them record the exploits of Wang Zanghai's illustrious feng shui masters. What you write down. are all related to his work. Those that are more important to others. For example, marriage, hunting. There are no records. I call this "Wang's Theory of Relativity."
September 6 rì in 1990
Today. Wang's theory of relativity has encountered a difficult problem. In the last mural of Wang Zanghai. We found something like this:
(Below is a sketch.) It's about a copy of the mural. I see here. I remembered the things I saw when I turned over the table just now, which resembled a child's sketch. It turned out that they were all copied murals.
The content of the sketch is difficult to describe. Because the painting is terrible. I can only see approximately. It seems to be a dignitary. The sight of saying goodbye to another person. In the background is a large palace gate. Animals such as camels and horses are lined up neatly all around. Of course, it is painted exactly like a dog and a mouse. I am familiar with ancient landscape paintings and animal paintings. I am highly trained in this knowledge. So I started from the brushstrokes and the form. It is possible to guess the strange shape of these animals. Actually, it should be a horse or a camel. Behind the palace gates, there were crowds of waiters. A line of honor guards. It can be seen that the picture in the painting is quite a huge scene.
After that, there are two or three more pages of paintings. I'm not interested. Jumped all over. Look directly at the content behind. )
on these murals. It should be after Wang Zanghai is sixty-eight years old. By that time he had already completed his last project. And the content on this mural. Presumably, it means that he accepted the emperor's orders. Set off for a party of one. Activities similar to those of foreign countries. The composition of this mural. It is obviously an imitation of those Tang Dynasty murals that Tang Xuanzang went west to the Western Regions. Very peculiar. However. We went through all the porcelain. But I have never found any porcelain paintings that can compare with this.
Some say it could be the last experience. He did not have any architectural works in comparison. However, there are also those who insist on it. People like Wang Zanghai. There will be no such exceptions. There is no porcelain painting correspondence. There may be some special meaning or reason. Maybe. His work was engraved by him on something else.
Truly. Later continued research. It was found that the last few years of Wang Zanghai were very mysterious. There is no historical record left at all. His life. It can be said that the last period of time is blank.
What the hell was he in those years? What did you do? This is a big problem.
December 6, 1990
these months. We have been investigating the whereabouts of Wang Zanghai in the last few years. Finally there is a clue. We found out after the final works. Wang Zanghai accompanied the emperor to have a mountain worship activity in Changbai Mountain. Since then, there has been no written record.
Changbai Mountain. Did he go into the mountains? We are very skeptical.
December 7, 1990
There is no way to look it up here. We reversed course. Start with the Emperor. In the Ming Chronicles, there are detailed records of envoy correspondence and canons. We wanted to find the ceremony depicted on the murals of the Wangzanghai Sea. Or the record of his mission to another country.
The results were very surprising. We find out two years before the emperor's death. There are a total of seven ceremonies. Six of them were normal. But. One time it was strange. It's very easy to record. There are no side notes:
"Twenty-nine years of Hongwu. Forty-six guards. Twelve soldiers. One hundred and twenty-six horses. Ten buckets of pearls. Thirty pounds of gold, etc. Make the Talmuda. ”
Grand ceremonies and missions. This is the only record where two conditions are met. However, this record does not record the officials who were sent at the time. But the strangest thing is that. What is the square of the Talmuda?
Is it a country? There is no record in the official history. Quite possibly, though. In the periphery of the Ming Dynasty. Southeast Asia. The two squares of the Western Regions. There are countless small countries. Maybe it's one of the small countries. But. Wang Zanghai went to communicate with a small envoy. It's kind of weird. He's not old enough to do something like this.
February 11, 1991
The investigation continues. We had two discussions during this time.
(Ten pages of nonsense in the middle.) It's all discussion and speculation. But the error was later confirmed. So all deleted. )
Because the history of the Ming Dynasty experienced a catastrophe in the Qing Dynasty. So this time it was difficult to investigate. There has been no result for a long time. Later, a problem was solved by switching the angle of the investigation. We have compared what the envoy "Talmuda" carried. The type of gift found indicates that this should be a country in the Western Regions. Moreover, the number of gifts appears as gifts. Seldom. However, there are very many horses. It seems. It's like a caravan. And not the emissary procession.
March 6, 1991
There are no clues at all. The breakthrough is nowhere to be found. Research has stalled. Everyone is in a bad mood.
That's the first paragraph. Obvious. This paragraph should be preceded by the content. However, there are no traces of torn pages on the front. Looks like. This shouldn't be a separate notebook. This is one in a series of notes.
What is described in the first paragraph. They were doing research on the Tibetan Sea. Discover the "Talmuda". Then study the "Talmuda". Finally, the research stalled such a process. There are a lot of things that can be seen from this paragraph. They were studying the frescoes and porcelain in the catacombs. And. It seems that the study is very orthodox and systematic. It's a classic archaeological process (the process of searching for information seems very boring.) But it is the main way that archaeologists often study. Archaeology. It's digging, repairing, checking). But when the third uncle and they went. Such conditions simply cannot exist. The tomb of Wang Zanghai is so big. Just a few people. How long does it take to keep track of everything in the tomb? So when did they do this job?
That's a big clue. But I didn't have time to think about it. Just keep looking. At the time, I thought that this process would continue. However. After this paragraph in March 1991. There is a phenomenon that makes me wonder.
From this paragraph onwards. It's about six pages long. These are statements of information. This is omitted. After turning it all the way over. The next paragraph of the work rì remembered. The time jumped to January 199, 199.
And then. Let's take a look at what is recorded in it. You'll find out. It's quite different from the previous one. The content of this paragraph. It was January 1993. Until February 8, 1995. The time span is longer than the previous one. However. There's not much to be recorded. It reads as follows:
January 19 rì of 1993. After the last discussion. Wang Zanghai's affairs became clear. Seemingly. He traveled to Talmuda. It does have something to do with the emperor's sacrifice to Changbai Mountain. He should have returned to Genting Heavenly Palace. Afterwards. And they set out for Talmuda. This Talmuda must be related to the situation in the Changbai Mountain.
April 18, 1993. From the murals, we have sorted out three routes to Genting Heavenly Palace. We decided to head to Changbai Mountain. Check it out.
May 30, 1993. Enter the confines of Changbai Mountain. The weather was terrible.
(After.) About a dozen pages are adventure novels. Similar to what we did when we entered Genting. All the way up to after entering. )
June 15, 1993. Lost contact with them. The two of us moved on.
June 17, 1993. We reached the bottom of the Heavenly Palace. It's a terrible situation. Others may be more than lucky. We don't have time to hesitate anymore. We decided to enter the bronze door. Let's see what's inside.
June 18, 1993. Seemingly. I saw the ultimate!
(After that, it was interrupted.) There is no content. The next rì is the last paragraph. Apparently she hadn't recorded anything for almost a year and a half. )
The last record is. February 8, 1995. We began to plot the search for the Talmuda. What the hell is going on here. I'm going to have to figure it out.
That's the second part. That's about thirty pages in total. Very obvious. There were several years of content left vacant between the first and second parts. to this second part. Directly they began the journey of Genting Heavenly Palace. Seeing this, a question in my heart became clear. It seems that Genting Heavenly Palace. The man who died in the pile of gold. It should be their group of people. And look at what they carry. Here Wen Jin is talking about us. It should be the group of people in Xisha.
So to speak. They don't seem to have any other special predicament. And it seems that life is still very comfortable? But that's secondary. What shocked me the most was. Apparently, Wen Jin also discovered the bronze door. And she's been in there too.
"I see the ultimate!" When I saw this, I broke out in a cold sweat. What does the heart mean by saying this? What does this ultimate mean?
Look at the time of the record. After she went in. Almost a year and a half without any rì notes. This is not in line with her xìng character. I have a very good feeling that she saw something inside the bronze door. So much so that it was too shocking. I don't have time to think about any notes.
Throughout the second part. That's what I feel the most. That Talmuda. It should have a lot to do with the bronze door. After Wen Jin entered the bronze gate. The idea of going to find this "Talmuda" was born.
And after that. It's the third part. This part is very long. But the time span is short. It was February 8, 1995 to June 1995 8rì, where. There is only one paragraph for the value to be proposed.
February 8, 1995
According to that dragon vein diagram. We can already determine the location of the Talmuda. We're going to do an exploration. Hopefully in this exploration. Be able to discover the answers to that series of puzzles. Let's be honest. I really didn't expect that. There's so much going on behind this. If what I see in the bronze door is true. Then this whole thing is terrible.
Afterwards. It's all about what they went to called "Talmuda". Look at the description above. This "Talmuda" is supposed to be an oasis in the Gobi. Wen Jin followed a caravan of camels. At the beginning of 1995, it set off from Dunhuang. Went deep into the Qaidam basin. This journey was carried out.
They were led into the Gobi by a female guide named Dingzhu Zhuoma. And then in a rocky mountain. They broke up with her. Entered this square called "Talmuda". It seemed very dangerous in that oasis. Quite a few people died along the way. Also see notes on the roadmap. There are many signs of danger. Finally they reached Talmuda. But. She had a disagreement with another person. In the end, she didn't go any further and came back.
I watched this very quickly. And didn't look closely. After these. It's just a blank slate. There is no content left. This section is about thirty pages long. Very detailed. There are plenty of road maps and descriptions of equipment defects, weather, and so on.
In the whole notebook. There is no information written about how they are. Or how to investigate. There is also no mention of their disappearance in the Paracels. There is no mention of anything in this sanatorium either. All the information inside. It's all related to this "Talmuda". Almost half of the page. It is all an analysis of what was left behind by the iron face of the Wangzang Sea. And a link to the "Talmuda" was found in it. And. What makes me feel very concerned is. These three paragraphs. There are obvious fractures in between. Feel. The notes seem to have been bound or recopied.
I pulled the gap between the pages with all my might. No traces of rebinding or tearing were found. This is a complete notebook. That is to say. This notebook may have been copied by Wen Jin. She seems to have picked out a few notes about the Talmuda. Copied it down. Gather it together in a notebook.
Why would she do that? Again, this is an unbelievable thing. These guys do things. Why is it always so mysterious? Don't. Elsewhere in the notes. Got something she didn't want others to know?
And. Look at this note. A very obvious feeling. It seems that I just want me to know that the "Talmuda" is very important. It seems to be the party that wants me to go there.
There are so many questions in my mind. I couldn't figure it out all at once. I rubbed my temples. Turn the note to the beginning. Be prepared to look carefully from the beginning. Take a closer look. Whether there are any clues that can be found? However, this time. The lighter in front of me had dimmed. The flames have shredded. The light is quite dim.
I remembered that the lighter had been used for quite some time. It may be about to run out of breath. So I wanted to set the newspapers on fire along with the drawers. Make a campfire. This way, the lighter won't be able to play for a while. You have to touch the dark yourself. So he stood up with a lighter. Stretch your muscles.
That's when it happened. I just felt that something wasn't quite right. There seems to be something different here. I simply held up the lighter. I want to see if it's a delusion. It's okay not to look at it. It barely scared me to death when I saw it. I saw the opposite side of the table. I don't know when a "person" appeared. This man sat in the chair I was sitting on. Look at that mirror. Combing hair.
