13. Immortal pharmacist

The story that Shu Xin thinks of has a wonderful universal setting, that is, the person who kidnapped the two sisters is a pharmacist. The pharmacist can make all kinds of secret medicines, and with the existence of this secret medicine, all the unthinkable things can be explained. Although this story sounds bizarre enough, it does perfectly answer the five scattered words that Xia Bing uttered.

In the afternoon of the same day, Shu Xin and I rushed to the town where the two sisters were hospitalized again, and joined Zhu Yue and Qiao Wei. Shu Xin explained the explanation she came up with to Qiao Wei and Zhu Yue.

Their reaction was similar to what I did when I first heard the story, and they both thought it was a little unreliable, but the more I thought about it, the more they thought it might be the case.

Thirty years ago, the expedition team found a solitary manuscript of the book that recorded the word "immortality" in the savage cave, countless bones in the pit, and then the solitary manuscript disappeared, and an expedition member was also skinned, all of which are closely linked to Shu Xin's story.

Is there really such a thing as an elixir of longevity? I've always felt like this was a bit mysterious.

And if everything is really as Shu Xin thought, then the person who stole my phone and led us to the two sisters is obviously the pharmacist.

But there are a couple of issues that I can't figure out.

weishenme, the pharmacist, will choose the two sisters Xia Bing and Xia Xue? Weishenme, and then he chose the insurance company clerk who accosted the two sisters? Is there a special correlation between this? Or is it just a coincidence?

If this medicine master needs a large number of living people to make medicines, then he weishenme will not catch us all in the cave, that round cave is definitely an excellent hunting ground, and it only takes one person and a stick to put down all of us in the group. But he didn't do it, this is weishenme? There must be something missing in the story that Shu Xin came up with, but I can't think of it yet.

The death of the two girls did not completely cut off the clues, and we told the local police about the forest where they were found, as well as the dark hole in the mountain, and the police then organized a large-scale search operation.

The search lasted three days and three nights, and the police thoroughly inspected the cave we had been to and conducted a carpet search within a five-kilometer radius around the cave. Although the search did not find any suspicious characters, in the cave the police found a place that we had overlooked.

There was a fork in the hole, and we followed Uncle Zeng into the fork on the left, and I instinctively thought that the other routes were dead ends, but the police found a small natural cave on the fork in the road we did not take, and the cave was full of blood and minced flesh, and there was also a whole human skin.

On the same day that the police found the skin, they identified the deceased, who was one of two employees of the missing insurance company. The results of the police's search were not prepared to be made public, and Qiao Wei and I communicated with the local police through Lei Qishan, and only then did we get this first-hand information.

After receiving this information, I was both annoyed and glad, but also scared.

There is no doubt that the murderer was in a cave on the other side of the circle when we entered the cave, and perhaps he was skinning the insurance company employee alive next door to us! It's annoying that we overlooked such an important cavern, but thankfully we didn't really try to get into it.

After that, in our capacity as an advisor to the Criminal Police Team, we suggested to the police that we investigate all the missing cases in the area around the village of Ragu. In addition to the case of the expedition members being skinned 34 years ago, there was also a similar disappearance case in 52 years.

The disappearance was recorded in an old file that could be considered an antique. The missing person was a medicine picker, and at that time, the police believed that the missing person had an accident while going into the mountains to collect medicine, and when they went into the mountains to search and rescue, people only found all the clothes of the missing person, but no one was found.

Two weeks later, a skeleton hanging from a tree was found in the mountains, and it was not a dry skeleton, but a skeleton that had been scraped off its flesh raw, and the joints were not even decomposed, and it felt like a large living person had been stripped of his flesh by a butcher with quick hands and feet.

At that time, Jishu was not 100% sure of the identity of the deceased, but in light of the disappearance that happened two weeks ago, the police believed that the deceased was the missing Chinese medicine doctor. Perhaps it was because the bones could not be identified that this antique file has been preserved to the present.

Sixty-three years have passed since the disappearance of 52 years, and even if the murderer was a 20-year-old sturdy young man, he is now an 83-year-old man. I don't think that an eighty-year-old man can deal with two male employees of an insurance company in any way, and he can't even threaten Xia Xue and Xia Bing.

And the evil ones are still to come.

Because the span of the case was too long, then the police also set their eyes on the cave we had been to. There are a large number of bones buried under the loess in the middle of the cave, and the police identified this place as a mass grave at the time, so they did not touch it, but this time the police transported the bones inside for a thorough examination.

After being tested for carbon decay, the police finally got a surprising answer that the bodies were not of the same age. The oldest of these bones date back 2,000 years, and the youngest is just over 100 years old.

If we are optimistic, we may be able to think of the cave as a secret tomb that has been used since the Qin and Han dynasties, but the presence of peeled human skin and hanging flesh-and-flesh human bones in the cave is obviously beyond the scope of a tomb.

Maybe Shu Xin's guess is not wrong, there really exists an immortal perverted pharmacist in Shennongjia, and the skinned souls seen in the Huilongwan Hotel are the ones who died at the hands of this pharmacist.

Who the hell is this pharmacist? Is it really like Shu Xin guessed that he is a wild man who lives in the mountains and has changed his appearance due to drug side effects? Or just like ordinary people, they are always hidden from us?

I'm more inclined to the latter than the savages, because the last two missing people are from the Huilong Bay resort, and the four people who have disappeared have some subtle connections. Again, I don't believe there are so many coincidences on Shijie, this perverted pharmacist is very likely to live in Huilong Bay Resort, and witnessed the process of two insurance company employees accosting Xia Bing and Xia Xue.

I told the police about the immortal pharmacist that they wouldn't believe it, so I only shared the inference that the murderer might be at the Huilongwan Resort with the local police. The police then launched an operation to check the identities of all guests who had stayed at the resort in the last month, as well as the information of the employees at the resort, in the hope of identifying suspicious persons.

And just as the police were doing the work of reconfirming these identities, an equally unbelievable thing happened, a local police officer involved in the investigation disappeared, and the place where he appeared for Zuihou was again Huilong Bay Resort.

The missing policeman's name is Mou Xiaotian, a very young police officer, and he came to Huilongwan this time only to do some computer operation work, which can be regarded as a civilian job. Before his disappearance, he had been working in the No. 1 hotel building of Huilongwan Resort, which was different from the two Xia sisters and the two insurance company employees.
