Chapter One Thousand and Eighty-Four
......
"So, Tom thinks the murder key or the corpse hand, which are kept in the Department of Mysteries?" said Dumbledore slowly.
"Not sure, Mr. Dumbledore. Rutherford shook his head, "No one knows his plans, and, in addition to the known soul rings, only the blood cup and poison bottle are still kept by the blood clan, and the remaining holy weapons have basically been lost, and the bone qin and the puppet are missing together, and the people in the clan are very suspicious that other holy weapons, such as the scepter and the like, have also been taken away from the blood clan by the puppets......"
Dumbledore nodded, "But I really can't do anything about the Department of Mysteries, those rooms have long been completely sealed and connected to the Ministry of Magic, and if you want to forcibly open them, you must cut off the contact......"
"Space Cutting, the entire Ministry of Magic?"
Van Lin looked at Dumbledore incredulously, the Ministry of Magic and London are connected, it can be said that if you want to cut off the Ministry of Magic from the world, the destruction of London is the inevitable result......
Opening the gates of hell at the cost of a city is really something that only Voldemort can do, not to mention, without considering the power, the consequences alone cannot be estimated.
It was to destroy the entire wizarding world of England.
"Professor, this is crazy......"
"Wait a minute, Van Lin, we can put Tom's business aside for now, but for now, I think we have some other things to do. ”
"Something?"
Dumbledore didn't speak, just waved his hand, and the meditation basin appeared on the table very abruptly.
"Some memories, I think, are useful, and I don't mind sharing them with you. ”
"Memory?" Van Lin was a little puzzled, he wasn't sure if he was missing something.
"Of course, Mr. Rutherford can come along. ”
"It's an honor!" Rutherford bowed slightly, showing respect for Dumbledore.
"Where are we going, Professor?"
"Go back to Bob Ogden," Dumbledore pulled out a crystal bottle from his pocket, containing a spinning silvery-white substance.
"Who is Bob Ogden?"
"He was an employee of the Law Enforcement Division at the time," Dumbledore said. "He died not long ago, but I found him before he died and convinced him to reveal this memory to me. We will accompany him on a business trip. Please stand up, Van Lin......"
Dumbledore poured the silver substance from the bottle into the meditation basin, and they began to spin and glow faintly, appearing to be neither liquid nor gas.
"We're after you," Dumbley gestured to the basin.
Van Lin bent forward, took a deep breath, and dipped his face into the silvery substance. He felt his feet leave the floor of his office, falling, falling, through a swirling darkness, and then, blinking in the bright sunlight, adjusting, Dumbledore and Rutherford reaching him.
They stood on a country road surrounded by a high, unkempt hedge wall of bushes. The bright sky is as blue as forget-me-not.
Ten feet in front of them stood a short, fat man with thick glasses that made his eyes look like mole spots. He was looking at a wooden signpost sticking out of the thorns on the left side of the road.
Van Lin knew it must be Ogden, who was the only one in sight, and dressed in the same strange clothes that inexperienced wizards used to wear when trying to dress up as Muggles: this time, a men's gown and a pair of high boots over a striped one-piece swimsuit.
But what is certain is that Van Lin has no impression of this man at all.
However, as soon as Van Lin remembered his strange appearance, Ogden set out along the path with brisk steps.
Three men followed him. As they walked past the wooden sign, Van Lin looked at the two signs on it. One pointed behind them, the same path they had taken, and wrote, "Great Hangleston, 5 miles." The other pointed to Ogden and read: "Little Hangdon, 3 miles".
They walked a short distance, except to see the hedges on either side and the vast blue sky overhead, the man in front of them who walked in a men's dress, and then the path turned to the left and disappeared before them, and they found themselves standing on a steep hillside, and the whole valley suddenly appeared in front of them.
Van Lin saw a small village, undoubtedly Little Hangleton, between two steep hills, with its church and cemetery clearly visible.
Across the valley, on the opposite hillside there is a beautiful estate, surrounded by wide green velvet lawns. The slope was so steep that Ogden had to trot down the slope. Dumbledore also took a big step, and Van Lin hurried to follow.
But Ogden didn't stop.
As soon as the path winded to the right, they saw Ogden's gown disappear into a gap in the hedge.
Dumbledore followed him into a dirty path, the hedgerows on either side of which were taller and more chaotic than before. The curvy path was potholed with stones, as steep as the slope before, and looked like it led to a grove of trees below them.
Sure enough, Xiaodao immediately took them to the woods. Ogden stopped, drew his wand, and the three stopped behind him.
Despite the cloudlessness of the sky, the old trees in front cast a dark, cool shadow, and after a few seconds, Van Lin's eyes made out a house among the cluttered trunks.
It seemed strange that someone should choose such a place to live, or let the trees grow around the house, blocking all light and the view of the valley. He didn't know if it was inhabited, the walls were covered in moss, and many of the roof tiles had fallen off, and in some places the rafters could be clearly seen.
The house was surrounded by nettles, and the top of the house had touched small windows covered with thick dirt. However, just as he was sure that no one would live there, a window clicked open, and from it came curling smoke, as if someone was cooking.
Ogden walked forward quietly, looking rather cautious. He had just stepped into the shadows of the trees when he stopped again and stared at the front door, on which a dead snake had been nailed. With a rustle and a bang, a ragged man jumped from the nearest tree and landed in front of Ogden, who sprang back quickly, stepping on his gown and stumbling.
"You're not welcome here. ”
