Some campaign background
Darksun is d&d
A campaign setting.
Set in an arid world of athas, which was originally a rich blue ocean planet, but out-of-control magic robbed it of its life force, turning it into a scorching sun forsaken by the gods and lacking
The land of water and hope. Another characteristic of the athas is the absence of tall mountains and the extreme lack of metal and rock, so wood, obsidian, and bones are the main raw materials for their weapons, tools, and building materials in the world.
Starting stateBecause this setting is a much more stringent world than other high-level Dungeons & Dragons settings, the player character usually starts the game at level 3, and the attribute range is 4-24 (usually 3-18), and most characters also have a certain degree of psion.
Ethnicity of interest
Races include many half-blood races, such as Half-Blood Giants, MU1 (Half-Blood.( Mantis man) and aarakonetbsp; Winged Birdmen, and even the usual Dragons and Dungeon races are very different, such as most halflings (ha1f1ing) are murderous cannibals in the Aftermath of the Holocaust.
The psychic abilities of the magical system are highly developed in the athas, even in animals, and each individual is born with one or two wild gifts (i1dta1ent). The academy that teaches the abilities of the mind exists and is maintained and used by the dragonkings.
Defi1er: A variant of the wizards in the Remnant of the Sun, they use magical energy from absorbing the life force around them, which makes them gain a lot of mana quickly, but overuse turns the entire planet into the desolate landscape it is now.
The rulers of the city-states were god-kings (in many cases, dragons), and the priests worshipped these god-kings as a source of their mana.
