Chapter 318: Easter

readx;?“ Be quiet, everyone, be quiet, and prepare for the second round of election tests immediately, please don't make a loud noise! ”

As time passed, it was finally time for the real game to begin. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info

The host of the second round, the demon Jian Yi, didn't know, and it should be said that he had never seen a face. At this moment, he was in the center of the Demon Council, under the sculpture of the Demon King Lucifer.

"This millennium demon king election has passed the first round, and after the first round of fierce competition, there are still about a thousand demons left."

"And the demon world also has clear rules that only ten demons can enter the third round in the end, which means that 990 demons will be eliminated in the second round."

"In line with the theme of the long-term development of the demon world, every demon king is also a resourceful general, so this time is no exception."

"The first round is the force value of the competition, and it is also the most basic, so this second round is a test of everyone's wisdom and foresight."

"Then, I won't say more gossip, everyone should be ready to prepare, and we will soon enter the second round of election testing."

I said a lot of words, and finally it was this moment.

"Husband, come on! People believe that the husband is absolutely fine! ”

Amilia, like most demons, was very excited at this time.

"Well, even if you say that, I can't guarantee that I will be able to answer this demon king election test, but Emilia has said so, and I will try."

Being so expected by Emilia, Jian Yi also felt an unusual pressure, but, as he said himself, Emilia believed in himself so much, so he definitely couldn't deal with it perfunctorily, right?

"Sister Alice, come on, too! Emilia also believes in Sister Alice's! ”

cheered Jian Yi up, and of course Emilia didn't forget Alice, although people said that the married daughter spilled the water, although Alice is not Emilia's mother, she usually considers herself an older sister.

But, after all, after living together for more than ten years, Emilia and Alice still have a deep relationship, so there will be nothing like forgetting Alice just for the sake of perseverance.

"Well, sister, I'll come on, Emilia, you can watch it by the side! Hmph, look at how my sister became the demon king. ”

“…… In short, come on, Sister Alice. ”

Alice's sudden naughty words made Emilia a little speechless, no one expected that Alice, who was usually steady and heavy, would actually make such a joke.

"Well, Sister Alice is so confident!"

Jian Yi was a little speechless, he wanted to ask Alice who gave you so much confidence, but he still held back when the words came to his lips.

I always feel that tuning Alice doesn't seem to have any elegant visual effects, right? If you think about it, it's true.

"Master, shall we go over there as well?"

Freya tried to ask Jian Yi, many of the demons were already lining up in front of the members of the Demon King Jury.

"Hmm...... I'll see, why don't we go over there? ”

At this time, Jian Yi finally understood what the specific form of this second magic selection test was.

Despite this, I don't know why, when I saw this scene again, Jian Yi thought of Jesus Jehovah in Christianity again.

Jesus was the only one who decided to come to earth on his own, and he was one of the very few who was willing to die. Jesus once said that His only purpose in coming into the world was to die for us: "Come, Son of man...... and lay down thy life as a ransom for many. ”

The cross is one of the most brutal torture instruments in human history. The historian Cicero described the punishment of the cross as "the most cruel and horrific form of torture." ”

Before Jesus was crucified, He was tied to a pillar and scourged. The whip was not an ordinary leather whip, but a whip made of four or five strips of leather inlaid with spiked lead.

The ecclesiastical historian of the Third World Church, Eusebius, described the Roman flogging this way: "The skin of the prisoner is opened, and the tendons and internal organs are exposed!" ”

After being scourged, Jesus was forced to carry a six-foot cross to the mountain where he was tortured (Jesus did not fall to the ground on the way).

When Jesus arrived at the place of crucifixion, the soldiers used large six-inch nails to nail Jesus' wrists and feet violently, and when they were nailed, they erected the cross.

Jesus hung on the cross for six hours, and his life passed little by little in unspeakable pain.

But Jesus' greatest suffering was not about the spirit, not even about the spirit, but about the spirituality - Jesus bore our sins and had to be temporarily separated from God the Most Holy Father.

Lord Jesus, who are you? Why can it be deeply appreciated by two historians? Jesus was the son of a carpenter, born more than 1,900 years ago.

Having lived only within 400 miles of Palestine, he died young, only living to be thirty-three years old before being executed by the Romans on trumped-up charges. Two thousand years have passed, and I don't know how many countries and great people have passed away.

Many doctrines and doctrines have been eliminated, and a few heroes and heroes have been forgotten. But Jesus was still revered and loved.

Lord Jesus, who are you? You were lonely and unknown. After his death, he influenced human history for nearly 2,000 years and continues to influence the history and culture of mankind.

Jesus! Who are you? You are not a musician, nor an educator, nor a physician nor a writer, so why do all the world's greatest musicians compose so many great pieces of music in your name?

Why are thousands of schools founded because of you? Why are so many hospitals built because of you? Why do writers all over the world often use your life as the subject of countless immortal masterpieces?

There is no library in the world that can hold all the books that are relevant to you. Even the Bible, which sells tens of millions of copies a year, is still the main character in the book.

Lord Jesus, who are you? You have made the most intelligent people in the world look up to you as their teacher. The age of mankind was marked by your birth. People call the year before you were born BC (BC) and the year after you are called AD or AD.

Every year at Christmas and Easter, you, Jesus, are the protagonists, and the former celebrates your birth. The latter commemorates your resurrection from the dead.

The resurrection is indeed a bit puzzling and surprising. Everyone is exempt from death, and I have never heard that man can overcome death, and you alone cannot be imprisoned by death, raised from the grave, and live to this day, to live forever and ever. Jesus, you are amazed that every Sunday, nearly 1.6 billion people around the world come to church to sing, praise and worship you.

Jesus, who are you? Who the hell are you? No one has ever won the hearts of billions of people like you. You have taught people this:

"Come to me when you see those who are toiling and heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

"Don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have tomorrow's worries, and one day's difficulties will be enough."

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love thy neighbor and hate thy enemy.' But I tell you to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. ”

"I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one can come to the Father except through me."

Jesus, who are you? Why your words shine with power, wisdom and authority, after countless people have received them? Peace and joy in the heart! Your words have become a light on the path of a believer's life, a lamp at his feet.

Your life has changed countless criminals so that they no longer commit crimes, addicts no longer take drugs, and they all become new people. Your words bring comfort and help to the sad and helpless. Your words make life more abundant.

Jesus, who are you? Jesus, you are the Creator of all things in the universe, the salvation of all sinners, and the comfort of the sorrowful in spirit.

For the sake of the world, you are willing to be humbled from the status of the Creator. For the sake of the world, you gave up your precious life to receive the penalty of sin in your place. Humanity is spared God's judgment and condemnation because of your death.

It is only through you that one can be reconciled to God, and only through you can man come to the holy and righteous God and be pleased with him, for you are the beloved Son of the living God and the Redeemer of mankind.

"For while we were still weak, Christ died for sinners in due time. Die for the righteous, rarely, for the benevolent, or dare to do it. God's love is shown to us in whoever had Christ who died for us while we were still sinners. ”

"When we were enemies, and were reconciled to God through the death of Jesus Christ, we rejoiced in God through him.

Between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD, "Jesus" was a very common name among Hellenistic Jews, with the Hebrew meaning of "the Lord is the Savior".

One of the books of the Hebrew Bible – the Old Testament of Christianity – is named after its Hebrew name "Joshua," the successor of Moses, the Paul, of the Old Testament and the first military commander in the history of the nation of Israel.

After Moses led the entire nation of Israel out of Egypt across the Red Sea and wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, it was Joshua who led the Israelites to cross the Jordan River and conquer the land of Canaan to settle down, laying the foundation for the kingdom of Israel. The territory of the nation of Israel today is essentially the legacy of Joshua.

Many Jews between the two covenants named their sons after the Aramaic name "Jeshua" for "Joshua" or the Greek name "Jesus." The New Testament of the Bible records five "Jesus":

1 Jesus of Nazareth;

2Jesus the son of Rabbah (Jesus Barabbas;

3 Jesus the Apostle St. Paul's co-worker;

4 Jeson, ruler of the synagogue ("Jesus" is the Greek word for "Jesus");

5 The sorcerer Ba Jesus, the father ("Ba Jesus" means "the son of Jesus").

Joseph, the adoptive father of Jesus of Nazareth, and Maria, the birth mother of Jesus, were both residents of the town of Nazareth in northern Israel, and direct descendants of King David, the second king in Israel's history and the founder of the Davidic dynasty.

Maria was the cousin of Elizabeth, John the Baptist's biological mother. After they were engaged, but before they were married, Maria claimed that the archangel Gabriel appeared to her and informed her that she was conceived by the Holy Spirit and would give birth to a boy named Jesus, known as the Holy One, the Son of God, and "Immanuel" (God with man).

Joseph had not yet married Maria, so he planned to secretly break off the marriage, but unexpectedly met the archangel Gabriel in a dream and confirmed Maria's information.

During the reign of Augustus Caesar, the first emperor of the Roman Empire, several censuses were conducted, one of which was around the time Maria was about to give birth to Jesus.

Joseph and Maria, who was about to give birth, returned to their hometown of Bethlehem, a town in south-east Israel, to register their population.

Due to the overcrowding of the inns, Joseph and Maria had to live in the stables of the inn, and after Maria gave birth, a manger became the cradle of baby Jesus.

That night, several shepherds came from the outskirts and claimed that an angel had instructed them to come to see the Holy Child in the manger, the future Messiah. Soon after, several learned men from the East traveled to Jerusalem to Bethlehem to meet the Holy Child, declaring that Jesus would become king of Israel.

On the eve of his death, Jesus and his disciples met in Jerusalem to celebrate the Jewish Passover. At the supper, Jesus used unleavened bread and wine to explain to the disciples the meaning of his impending death.

Since then, Christians commemorate this meal with regular communion services.

After dinner, Jesus walked out of the city of Jerusalem and prayed to God for some time in the Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the Mount of Olives. That night, he was unlawfully arrested, brought before the High Priest and the Sanhedrin of Judaism, where he was unlawfully tortured and tried unlawfully.

Finally, he was handed over to Pontius Pilate, the governor of Judea in the Roman Empire, who handed Jesus over to Herod, the tetrarch king who killed John the Baptist, and Herod returned him to Pilate.

Pilate alone could approve the death penalty, and under intense public pressure, Pilate did exactly that.

Just outside Jerusalem, Jesus was crucified until he suffocated to death, an event to be remembered by Christians all over the world on Good Friday.

A mysterious follower of Jesus, Joseph of Aremiaxia, asked Pilate for the body of Jesus and buried it in his own unused tomb, a tomb hewn out of a single rock.

On the third day, several women came to Jesus' tomb to anoint his body. This task was supposed to be done immediately after the death of a person, but Jesus died close to the evening of Friday, and the Jewish Sabbath was from after sunset on Friday to before sunset on Saturday, and the Jews could not do anything on that day.

In particular, this Sabbath is the Passover Sabbath, which has a very special significance for Judaism, and Jews will never touch unclean objects such as corpses and other things unless they are forced to do so.

So the anointing of Jesus' body was postponed until dawn on the first day of the following week (Sunday), the third day after Jesus' death, when the first day after the Passover Sabbath was approaching.

When the women reached the tomb, they found that the stone at the entrance to the tomb had rolled away, and that the tomb was empty; They also met several angels and were told that Jesus had been resurrected.

On that very day, Jesus appeared among his disciples, and twice later. In the weeks that followed, news of Jesus' bodily resurrection spread to more and more people.

In the first few days after Jesus' death, Jesus' disciples hugged each other in Jerusalem, hoping that they would not suffer the same fate as Jesus. When Jesus appeared to different groups of disciples many times, Jesus' disciples were very slow to understand the truth about Jesus' resurrection.

Gradually, they understood that Jesus was a new kind of "Messiah"—not a secular king, but a heavenly ruler.

On the fortieth day after the resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven under the watchful eyes of his disciples, which is a major event celebrated by some Christians on Ascension Day.

Before leaving the earth, Jesus promised His disciples that He would send them a Pacifier or Comforter—the "Holy Spirit," who would always be with them.

He came down from heaven to save us from heaven as a man by the Holy Spirit, and by the incarnation of the Virgin Mary; Under Pontius Pilate, he crucified, suffered, and buried for us; resurrection on the third day of the Bible; and ascended into heaven, and sat at the right hand of the Father; And glory will come again to judge the living and the dead; His kingdom will never end.

The evidence for Jesus' resurrection from the dead is unassailable. When Jesus' disciples ran into Jesus' tomb, they found Jesus' body gone, leaving only the shroud folded aside.

Over the next six weeks, more than 500 people saw Jesus with their own eyes. The lives of the disciples who had already been discouraged were suddenly changed, and the Christian church was born, and it grew rapidly!

The former British Chief Lord ** Commander said:

The evidence for Jesus' resurrection from the dead is conclusive—there is no flaw in the evidence, the evidence in front of it, the evidence against it, the evidence in fact, the evidence of circumstances! Any sober-minded jury will inevitably reach a unanimous verdict: the historical facts of Jesus' resurrection are true. ”

The only plausible explanation for these facts is that Jesus rose from the dead, thus proving that He was truly the Son of God. (To be continued.) )
