025 Running Succubus
It will snow in another month. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. ļ½ļ½ļ½Uļ½Eć infoIn two months, the roads southwest of the City of Chaos will no longer be passable, except for those brave enough or stupid enough.
Buzz looked at the shore of the lake that stretched out from his tiny fishing rod. The rest of the Ten Towns also benefited from the weather, with fishing boats flying out in droves competing for good spots to catch fish.
No matter how many times he saw it, Bass was still amazed at the greed of the aristocracy. In the South, Bass had risen rapidly in the Thieves' Guild. However, the greed of the nobility put an end to his ascension.
The guild leader has collected at least a dozen or more beautiful rubies, each one so perfectly cut that anyone who sees it will be confused. Every time the guild leader brought the gems out for display, Buzz was always fascinated by the sparkling gems, and, please, he just grabbed one. Even now, Buzz still couldn't understand why the guild boss was so angry, he had at least eleven more.
"Damn it!" Every time Buzz was caught up by the Guild's men and forced him to flee further away, he would always yell at his pursuers.
But he hadn't said it for a year and a half, since he came here. Although the guild's sphere of influence is vast, it can't reach this wild place.
Bass is quite pleased with the security provided by this new home. And there's a way to make money here, and for those who are dexterous enough to carve those hard-headed trout bones that look a lot like ivory into bone ornaments. The handicrafts carved from the fish bones that are abundant in the lake are the main commodities sold in the city. People here can live a comfortable life without having to work hard. Since bone ornaments became popular in the South, Bass also planned to work hard to expand his new business and no longer be lazy.
"The beginning of a new life!" He crossed his feet and muttered under his breath.
A fishing boat slowly raises a red flag, which means that they have caught a big fish.
Bass watched as the flag went higher and higher.
"At least four feet long, or bigger." Buzz watched as the flag rose below the mast beam, muttering approvingly.
"Probably the whole family will be singing and celebrating tonight." The other boat suddenly accelerated, approaching the ship that had previously raised its flag to symbolize capture. The crews of the two ships immediately drew their weapons and confronted each other, although they remained on their own ships. There was only lake water between Buzz and the two boats, so he could hear the captains of the two boats very clearly.
"Hey! You stole my fish! The captain of the second ship roared.
"You're crazy!" The captain of the first ship saluted back.
"That fish was never yours. We caught it with our own hands. Take your people and flash them for me now, or ......"
As Bass had expected, before he could finish speaking, the crew of the other ship was already roaring loudly and rushing forward with his weapons brandished.
Bass shifted his gaze to the clouds in the sky, he was not interested in the battle between the two ships, although the noise of the intersecting weapons annoyed him. Skirmishes are commonplace on the lake, and they are usually fought over the catch, especially when big fish are caught. Generally speaking, these fights are not too intense, most of them are just yelling and point-to-point fights, rather than really desperate, so very few people are actually injured or killed.
Occasionally, though, there are still surprises. Once in a battle with a total of seventeen ships, the crews of a total of three and a half ships were slaughtered, and the corpses floated all over the water.
"Ahh Little fish, you're really going to cause trouble! Bas muttered to himself, thinking about the fish's incomprehensibility to the fishermen. Without these fish, many people would not be able to survive. The three lakes here are the only places in the vicinity where there are fish, and even though the area is so inhospitable and savage, there are still people left behind to roam the area where all sorts of humanoid monsters and barbarians can destroy the most sturdy of buildings.
Just as there are people who have always moved to the City of Chaos, there are people who have always "left" the place.
The Forgotten Valley is a desolate and monotonous place, with countless dangers and harsh weather. Lichs often visit the land to take the souls of the newly deceased.
Yet a hundred years later, the penal colony is still growing considerably. The small villages that were originally built on the shores of the lake were in fact simple dwellings built by each of them to declare their occupation of the fishing spots. Although Sanhu Town is now a bustling town with thousands of people living in high walls, it was just a fishing village on the border of the chaotic city, where merchants exchanged information and goods once a year.
Back then, there was only one boat, and it was just a canoe. Occasionally, someone falls into the cold water of the lake all year round, and those who are unfortunate enough to fall usually do not last a minute. Today, however, each of the surrounding towns has its own fleet with flags. Even the city independently sent more than a hundred ships to the South Lake, some of which were brigs with more than ten crew members.
From the ships in the midst of the fierce battle came the wails of death, and the clashing of weapons rang out loudly. I don't know how many times, but St. Regis thought that maybe it would be better here without these trouble-making fish.
Still, the gnome had to admit that this place was heaven to him. He possessed a pair of dexterous hands that he used to carve bone ornaments, and was designated as the mayor of a small town. Although Three Lakes is the smallest town in the surrounding area, Bass still feels that the mission is an honor and a good thing for him.
As the only bone ornament maker in Three Lakes, Buzz is the highest-paid person in the town, and although he is still used to being greedy and taking sheep to get some oil, he still regularly goes to the city to make reports.
This helped Bath quite a bit in the town's position. He was responsible for bringing the catch to the market for a tenth of the price he could get, so he never lacked bones to carve.
Every month during the summer, Bass would attend the parliamentary agenda and exercise his responsibilities as spokesman. In winter, it is once every three months, as long as the weather permits. These meetings were held in the City of Chaos. Although these meetings can be reduced to disputes over the fishing fields of the towns, they are usually concluded within a few hours. Bass saw this as a small price to pay for monopolizing the southern market.
The fighting on the ship soon subsided, and only one person died. Buzz leisurely watched the clouds floating in the sky. He turned his head to look at the cabins in the dense woods. Leaving aside the notorious residents, Bath thinks Dulin is the best town in the area. The surrounding woods provide a good place to build a house and provide a decent amount of protection from the raging cold winds. If it weren't too far from the City of Chaos, Three Lakes would actually be even more famous.
Buzz rudely took the ruby out of his pocket, looking at the treasure that had caused him to flee from the south to the wilderness. "Damn it!" He snickered.

Sofina moved silently, her soft boots kicking up dust on the ground. He lowered the brim of his cloak to cover her distinctive blonde hair, and moved effortlessly and gracefully, as the unwitting might think it was an illusion of the tundra! The succubus was banished by the spirits of the earth, and established a vast black kingdom underground. Black skin, blonde hair, and seductive figure are the most well-known appearance of succubi. Succubi have always been known for their debauchery, but she is one of the few exceptions.
Tighten the cloak on your body. In the sun, her insecurity is comparable to that of a human being in the dark. More than half a century deep underground cannot be replaced by these months of life on the ground. To this day, the sunlight still makes him feel weak and dizzy. But Sofina, who had been on the road all night, still had to keep going. She had made an appointment with the dwarven craftsman in the valley, she was late, and she saw something unusual. The reindeer herd has begun their autumn migration south, but no signs of a crowd have been found until now.
In the caves used by the nomads as relay stations, supplies for long journeys were not stored as usual. Sofina knew what that meant. Nomadic tribes usually survive by following reindeer herds.
It is troubling to abandon their traditions. In addition, Sofina heard the sound of war drums. The elaborate drums that only those of the Valley of Oblivion can understand are thundering across this empty plain. But Sofina knew what these drums meant. She is an observer who can distinguish friend from foe, and he used to use his sophisticated stealth skills to observe the daily lives and traditions of these proud inhabitants. Sofina quickened her pace, forcing herself to the limit of what she could bear.
Like many other exiles who eventually settled here, Sofina would not be popular anywhere else. Even though most of the residents of Ten Towns only "endured" her, no one would particularly harass her under the tacit agreement of these exiles. And luckier than most exiles, because she has Mu Qingyang to rely on here, and she can really see the real her without being affected by her background.
The succubus looked a little anxiously at the iceberg, the only peak of this canyon. But her eyes, which had the sight of a bird at night, were blurry in the sunlight and could not even estimate the distance. She retracted her head under the brim of her hat again, and in the constant sunlight she preferred to think of herself as a blind man on the road, immersed in the darkness of the nightmare of the underground city of her ancestors, the ancient city of Gali. Succubi used to live on the surface like their white-skinned cousins, dancing and frolicking in the sun and starlight. But even cousins who don't like to judge can't stand these ruthless and cruel killers. After the inevitable Elven Civil War, the Succubus were driven underground.
And there they discovered all kinds of dark secrets and magic, and they were willing to stay. Over the centuries, they flourished again and adjusted themselves to mystical magic. They had grown stronger than their cousins who were accustomed to working magic in the sun. The entire succubus clan no longer wants to see the sun and stars. They are physically and mentally accustomed to the underground, but for those who live under the blue sky, the succubi are fortunate to be satisfied with the underworld, so they will only occasionally return to the surface to burn and plunder.
As far as Sofina knew, she was the only succubus who lived on the surface.
She was able to tolerate quite a bit of sunshine, but she still suffered from the traditional weaknesses of the succubus clan. However, even considering her disadvantage in the sun, she was angry at her carelessness when two snowy monsters with long brown fur like bears appeared in front of her eyes.
Sofina quickly pulled out the two scimitars from his waist, but Snow quickly approached. Sofina spun to the left, revealing a gap on her right, ready to withstand the attack of the approaching monster. Her right hand was helplessly pinned down by her side as the snow monster grabbed her with her massive arms, but Sofina tried to pull out another weapon with her left hand.
Enduring the pain of being choked by the snow monster, Sofina pressed the handle of the scimitar against her hip bone and aimed it at the second monster that rushed up. In the agony of death, the second snow retreated with the scimitar stuck in her body and fell. The remaining snow crushed Sofina to the ground. The succubus used the hand she could still move to resist the pair of sharp teeth that were about to bite his throat, but she knew it was only a matter of time, as the opponent was much stronger than him. Suddenly, Sofina heard the sound of bones shattering.
The snow trembled violently, his head was badly deformed, and blood and brains poured out of his forehead.
"Elves! You're late! A familiar muffled voice came.
Bigfoot stepped on the corpse of the snow, completely ignoring the succubus friend who was pressed under the monster's corpse. Although the pain only increased, Sofina was happy to see the dwarves' often broken pointed noses and red beards with a few silver threads.
"Why do you get into a lot of trouble every time I come to you?" Looking at the way she struggled to pull the axe out of the snow monster's skull, Sofina couldn't help but smile at the surprise of the dwarf, even though she herself was still crushed under the snow's corpse.
"This head is as hard as a frozen stone!" The dwarf grumbled. He straddled the head of the monster's corpse and pulled his tomahawk out with a sharp blow.
"Where's your kitten?"
Sofina searched in her backpack for a long time and took out a leopard-shaped agate statue. "I don't know how to call Mufasa Kitten!" She said half-lovingly, half-respectfully.
"I worked so hard to get this from the Spirit Clan's altar." Stroking the statue with both hands, Sofina checked to see if there had been any damage from the snow monster's attack.
"Hah! Cats are cats! "The dwarf held on." Why didn't you call it out when it was so dangerous just now? ā
"Even magical creatures need to rest." Sofina explained.
"It's a tragic day for a succubus to be attacked by two snow monsters on an empty plain!" Redbeard licked the blood-stained axe and spat disdainfully. "Damn monsters!" He complained.
"They can't even eat their meat!"
He slammed his tomahawk the ground to remove the blood, and moved quickly towards the iceberg. Sofina put Mufasa back in her backpack and walked towards the corpse of the other snow monster, her scimitar still sticking there.
"Hurry up!" The dwarf rebuked. "We still have a long way to go!"
Sofina shook her head and wiped the blood from her knife against the fur of the snow corpse.
"Let's go!" She said with a smile. "You're going to be happy! If the monster on this road knew that you were coming, it would hide its head well! (To be continued.) )
