Chapter 16: Yes, It's Holy Light (1)
Much of the background of the Holy Order remains a mystery, and there are many rumors about its founding and purpose.
While the early Holy Cult called themselves the Light and worked to sweep away the lands corrupted by demons, the Draenei were not fully approved by the Temple of Carabo and the Naru. Even though most of these earliest Paladies were Draenei's garrisons, or paladins.
On the other hand, previous issues of the Holy Order have been convinced that they have emerged from the corrupted and fallen Draenei Garrison, and that they consider themselves to be the new, pure Guardians of the Faith.
As for the Paladins and the Holy Order: a long time ago, a large number of Draenei's garrisons, a position that must have been filled by paladins, launched a war to aid Talador and defend the holy city of Shattrath, at the call of the Prophet Viren. This historic crusade did not save the largest city of the Draenei. After the arrival of the Iron Horde's army, especially the cannon-laden fleet, the Draenei had to retreat from the city.
Meanwhile, the Holy Cult, an elite group of paladins led by the Draenei garrison Salama, who claims to have been inspired by the Light, travels to the East on a secret mission to the Jungles of Tanaan to find a way to purify the world of Draenor. Unlike the Paladins, the Paladins insist that they have never been corrupted, and that they have learned new skills and talents along the way.
It can be said that the Holy Army is the "elite of the elite". Their ferventness for their faith has reached a new level, and they can find comfort and strength in their unshakable faith. Their only goal is to save their faith, and any obstacle that stands in their way is to be removed.
On the other hand, garrison troops would settle down in the town of Delaney to take in refugees, settle disputes, and purify the land...... The Holy Army, on the other hand, would not be so ostentatious at all, and would quietly enter the village at dawn to inquire about a small amount of information, replenish supplies, and then leave, leaving nothing but the early Draenei residents feeling a little confused......
And becoming a Holy Cult Army is much more difficult than becoming a garrison officer. There are two ways to become a Cultist, being inspired by the Light or being accepted as a disciple by the Cult.
But first, the Light only inspires women, and that inspiration comes without warning. At the same time, the Light never invokes twice in one place, and there are only forty-eight places at a time. If you are not of sufficient character to be inspired, at least make sure that your friends are inspired, and refer you to the Light before the forty-eight places are full. If not, the second way is to take the inaugural week.
Each Cult has at least one apprentice, whom they see as their heirs and companions (RBQs), and the mentor sharpens them into the weapons of the Light. In the unfortunate event of the death of the Guru, the most outstanding of these ascetics and followers will inherit the Guru's weapons, shields, names, and unfinished jihadist missions. Others, they will be transferred to other official Holy Cult Mentors of the same period to be trained in the Way of Light.
Even so, over time, the Holy Cult grew at a very rapid pace, and soon spread from the Draenei to other races. As the first phase of the Holy Army, STS (Shattrath) 48 is still the lineup of the whole Draenei, and by the second phase, it has become a mixture of blood elves and draenei.
However, there are some conscientious historians who believe that the Holy Army spread to the rest of the races in the early days, and that it was an outsider from the other side of the Dark Gate, simply because the original Holy Army did not develop well.
In fact, it was, even though it was soon buried in the dust of history.
When Samarra, the first Holy Cultist in Shattrath City, first claimed to have been called by the Light, almost everyone scoffed at her words.
It is not uncommon to be inspired or redeemed by the Light, but all Draenei believe that it is impossible for the Light to speak to someone or even give them a gift.
- The Light is a source of power for Paladins, Priests, and other followers of the Light, and its effect becomes more and more pure with the user's devotion. However, although this belief transcends race, world, life and death, it is essentially an energy. As a faith, it is a shadowless and invisible faith, not the kind of belief in a concrete, deified God.
Even the Light does not represent good or evil, but can be used to uphold justice or to kill others. But only a strong enough faith can harness the Light. When the power of the Light is given to mortals, it can still be suppressed, defeated, and dispelled, but the degree to which the pressure is resisted in this environment depends on the user's devotion to the Light.
To put it simply, the Light has no self-conscious energy - or there is, but no one can communicate with it. The Light does exist because its followers exist, see it and wield its power. However, only Naru, who is able to produce the Light, has consciousness, and the Light itself does not. Devout faith, firm faith, and fanatical faith can only gain the power of the Light and be close to the Light. There are even those who can receive revelation from the power of the Light, but no believer has ever been able to chat with the Light when summoning and using the Light's power......
Samarra was frustrated, no one believed her, she had communicated with the Light!
That night, she wept bitterly as she prayed to the Light, she had messed everything up, not only had she failed to find the right person to receive the Light's gifts, most people looked at her like a retarded person.
Fortunately, the merciful God of Light was as forgiving as ever, soothing her body and mind with the warm power of the Light, and giving her the Source of Light as usual, which was a viscous white liquid that could be absorbed by drinking it or injecting it into her body would greatly enhance her affinity for the Light, enhance her abilities, and make her use of the Light's power more handy.
In fact, there are many ways to absorb and use the source of holy light, from external application to internal consumption, but they all require the Holy Sect Army to cultivate the secret book and open up the so-called holy veins before they can absorb it. Due to the short time she had been in the Holy Sect Army, she had only completed the cultivation of the three holy veins, one up, two down, and three holy veins.
Samarra's gift from the God of Light made Samarra even more ashamed, and she wept bitterly, vowing to complete the Light's mission and save her people by the way.
The god of light seemed to be satisfied with this, and simply gave her an artifact that could growβa ball of light that emitted silver-white divine light.
ββββββββββββ
Ah, on the shelves on the first of July, this is very holy light, and I started racing when I got on the shelves. Also, don't ask me who wrote the King of Filth, I don't know, and it's too insulting to IQ, you know.
