Chapter 35: Dead Baby
Chapter XXXV: Dead Baby
(Update delivered, continued tomorrow)
The fat man and I ran desperately in the graveyard where it didn't know where it led, and the loud noise behind us was getting closer and closer. I could even hear the big water monster's heavy gasps.
"Fatty!" I yelled, "If you have the fucking explosives, use them!" ”
"Oh-oh!" The fat man sighed, didn't look back, and threw the explosives in his hand back. Before we could run ten meters away, the fat man pressed the detonator. There was a loud bang, and the entire tomb began to tremble, and countless dust fell from the ceiling like a waterfall. I was so shaken by the shock wave of the explosion that I couldn't lift my breath and almost fainted, while the water monster behind me was more unlucky, and let out a few screams, completely silent.
The fat man and I stopped to look back and found that the tomb behind us had been blown up. The rubble completely blocked the way it came.
"Okay, how do we get out?" I asked the fat man, "Can't you be reliable?" Every time you mess around like this, you're not afraid to kill yourself? ”
The fat man was probably also shocked by the explosion just now, looked at me with a pale face, gasped a few times and eased up before saying, "Okay, the fat man remembers, next time the dosage will be smaller." ”
The fat man and I are in a particularly messy situation right now. Not to mention that the clothes on his upper body are gone, and his whole body is still wrapped in stinky black mud. Escape the appearance of an indigenous inhabitant of a primeval forest.
The fat man took a few more breaths and asked me, "What did you say, what was it that chased us just now?" ”
I waved my hand and pointed to the large pile of rubble. It means that if you want to know, you can dig it up yourself.
"Damn, I have poured countless fights for the fat man, and it's the first time I've suffered like this. If you don't have the strength now, Lao Tzu will definitely dig you out and make sashimi and eat it. ”
I laughed dryly, "With such a big head, maybe who's going to eat whom." ”
As soon as I finished speaking, I noticed that several stones on the rubble pile moved. Before I could react, I saw that the pile of rubble that was pressing the water monster was suddenly lifted, and the big water monster burst out of it.
Now I can see what this water monster is.
A snake.
As for how to describe its size, I didn't have time to think about it now, and I was pulled by the fat man and began to run desperately again.
"Can't you get a more powerful explosive?" I asked the fat man.
"Fuck you, it's you who thinks Lao Tzu's explosives are powerful, and it's you who thinks it's small, you can get it if you have the ability!" The fat man also scolded.
We ran wildly for nearly ten minutes, and there was a fork in the road at the end of the dark graveyard.
"Which way?" I asked the fat man.
"Run apart!"
"Separated?" I was stunned, "Then how do I find you?" ”
"Fucking they're dying now, let's survive first!" Running to the fork, the fat man pushed me into the graveyard on the right, and then rushed towards the graveyard on the left.
"Life and death are in the sky, you should be careful!" The fat man's voice came from the tomb on the left, constantly colliding and echoing in the dark and deep tomb.
The big snake naturally chased the fat man. I guess it's either the big snake that thinks it's the fat man who hurt it and wants revenge. Either the fat man has more meat, and he can eat three meals in one meal compared to me.
I'm in a miserable situation right now. I can't go back to the fork and chase the fat man again, so there will be an embarrassing situation where the fat man and I face the big snake. But the problem is that now I am alone, and in the tomb without any sound around me, the footage of various thrillers I have seen before begins to come to mind.
I scolded in my heart that the **** grandpa didn't care, and then buried my head and ran forward for a short distance. That's when my flashlight started to get faint. After using it for so long, it was finally running out of power.
The house leak happened to rain overnight, and it was really enough to carry. I cursed again and began to look in my bag for batteries or other lighting alternatives.
What made me speechless was that the wolf eye in my hand turned out to be charged, and there was no charger or anything like that in the backpack. Even if there were, I don't think it would be possible to have an outlet for me to charge in a place like this. Luckily, I found a flashlight that was manually generated. It is the kind of small flashlight that used to be used for emergency at home, and it can generate electricity by itself by constantly holding it firmly with one hand. This kind of flashlight has an advantage, that is, it comes with a small battery, after the manpower generation can be charged into the battery for emergencies, as long as people still have the strength to provide a steady stream of lighting. However, the only drawback is that the maximum illumination distance of this flashlight is only about two meters, and it cannot concentrate the light beam.
I took the flashlight and shook it a few times, and there was a sound of gears turning from the parts inside, and then the flashlight lit up. Looking at the small flashlight in my hand, I suddenly remembered a sentence that I don't know who said, Lao Tzu can charge this flashlight in the time it takes to take a plane.
With a dry grin, I looked up at the seemingly endless graveyard ahead. The tomb when I came in had been blown up by the fat man, and now it is impossible to go back, so I can only go forward.
Taking a deep breath to calm my heartbeat, I put my backpack back on and started walking.
I'm not an archaeologist and don't know what the value of the paintings painted on the surrounding walls is. Still, I looked at them one by one. There are fifteen or sixteen of these paintings, which are kind of like the comic books I saw when I was a kid.
I didn't study history very well, and I couldn't express the patterns on the paintings very professionally, so I could only express them in a way that I understood.
The first painting is an account of a woman giving birth. It shows a woman lying on a bed with a fist-sized baby's head exposed. There were several people with crutches standing around. These people are covered with their heads covered, unable to tell whether they are men or women. However, according to normal habits, there will only be women around a woman to help deliver the baby.
The second painting is a bit weirder. After the woman gave birth to the child, a man next to her (presumably a woman) put his hands around the baby's neck and lifted him up in the air, as if he was going to strangle him to death. What's even more strange is that this child still has two arms under his armpits and two legs diagonally down from his waist. I was stunned, and then I realized that there was something growing on the baby's belly. It seems to be a face. Four hands and four legs, damn it, freak. Of course, with the current level of medicine, we certainly know that this is two fetuses growing together, which is a symbiotic phenomenon. But people didn't know it at the time, so there was a third painting.
In the third painting, the baby is brutally drowned. In the fourth painting, the body of a baby is placed on the ground. In the fourth painting, I noticed that the baby's facial expression was painted in a very hideous way. I don't know if it was really the situation at that time or if the person who painted this picture added it on purpose.
There are so many paintings left that I won't talk about them one by one. Taken together, these dozen or so paintings probably say that a woman gave birth to a conjoined baby and was then killed by her family (and possibly a clansman). After the baby was buried, the woman cursed and then committed suicide. Then all sorts of strange things happened that forced the woman's family (or clansmen) to dig up the baby and bury him with the woman.
That's pretty much it.
I gasped. Looking at these weird paintings one by one in this environment is very stressful.
Just as I was about to move on, I was stunned. If this mother and son are buried in this tomb, then it can completely explain the fact that the fat man and I were lying on our backs before. But that's not right, the baby in the picture is conjoined, and the other baby grows in the belly, how did they separate and climb onto the back of me and the fat man? Could it be that there is more than one corpse here?
