Chapter 55: Mutants

"What a good rain!" Ai Lan looked out the window at the heavy rain.

"Miss, your black tea." Barbara handed Alan her favorite black tea, and then placed some of Ellan's favorite snacks on the table.

"Do you have something to say to me?" Elan glanced at Barbara, then looked back at the rain outside.

"Yes." Barbara replied simply, her hands rubbed together a little uneasily, her head bowed, not at all as joyful and lively as before.

"Let's eat, let's have a good talk after eating." Elan sat back on the couch and handed Barbara a piece of chocolate.

"Yes." Barbara took the chocolate that Alan handed her, took small bites, and in a short time Barbara ate the whole piece of chocolate. "Miss?" Barbara said cautiously.

"Huh?" Ai Lan replied with his nose.

"Can I eat another piece, I don't think one piece is enough." Barbara's head was lowered and her neck and ears were red, and she felt embarrassed.

"Eat it, you can eat it whole." Ai Lan said with a smile.

"Yes." Barbara nodded slightly, then grabbed the chocolate and stuffed it into her mouth, and the whole plate of chocolate went into Barbara's stomach.

"Good! Miss, I'm going to say it! Barbara looked up and said loudly, her fists clenched as if to cheer herself on.

"Yes, let's talk about it." Alan smiled and motioned for Barbara to say what she wanted to say.

Barbara took a deep breath, looked into Ailan's eyes and said, "Miss, I should be a mutant." โ€

"Oh." Ai Lan replied very simply.

Barbara thought that Alan hadn't heard clearly, and she repeated it again. "Miss, I'm supposed to be a mutant."

"Well, I see, you're a mutant." Ailan nodded. "I heard, you're a mutant, what's wrong?"

"Miss, aren't you afraid of me? I'm a mutant, a species, a human. Barbara said word for word, wondering why Elan's wasn't scared.

"Why should I be afraid of you, aren't you my maid if you're a mutant?" Alan asked.

"Of course I'm your maid, Miss." Barbara said.

"So, why should I be afraid of you?" Ai Lan said with a smile.

Elan handed Barbara a tissue and said, "Wipe it, there's chocolate on the side of your mouth." โ€

"Oh, yes." Barbara took the tissue and quickly wiped it around her mouth.

"Speaking of which, what are you capable of?" Ai Lan asked with some curiosity. Ai Lan glanced at Barbara without a trace, and secretly used the detection technique to carefully observe it, and came to the conclusion that Barbara's mental strength was higher, far more than the others.

"Probably emotion, or rather emotion?" Barbara said with some uncertainty.

"Manipulating other people's emotions?" Ai Lan smiled with interest. "Then show me the show, don't experiment with me." Ailan added that it was not that she was afraid that she would be manipulated, but that she was afraid that her instinctive reaction would be dangerous to Barbara.

"And who is it going to use?" Barbara asked Ellen with some excitement.

"Just Beth, she's not going to be mad at you anyway, is she?" Ailan's tone was full of teasing.

"Well, Beth won't be mad at me." Barbara nodded subconsciously, and then her eyes widened, and she looked at Ai Lan with an expression of disbelief: "Miss, you know?" โ€

"It's easy to guess, you suddenly listen to Beth so much, you don't make trouble, you will do what Beth asks you to do, and you always make excuses for the two of you to be alone, if I don't understand anymore, I'm blind." Ai Lan said with a look on his face that I had already seen through.

"Don't tell Kim and Shirley, please, miss." Barbara begs Alan not to tell anyone.

"Eh, have you walked too much when you have been shopping lately, these legs and feet are so sore." Ai Lan said loudly on purpose.

"Miss, I'll rub it for you." Barbara said with a flattering smile. Barbara's hands rested on Elan's legs, kneading them lightly and heavily. "Miss, how strong is this?" Barbara asked with a smile, but the smile was too flattering.

"Well, yes, yes, I feel like my legs are relaxed." Alan said how she felt. "Alright, use the ability on Beth and grieve her." Alan said to Barbara.

"Okay." Barbara nodded, closed her eyes, and after about a few tens of seconds, she opened her eyes and said, "Okay, Miss." โ€

"Then let's go, go see your results, and Beth should be reading in her own room at this time." Ailan said, looking at his watch.

"Knock, knock, knock." Barbara knocked on Beth's door.

"Who?" Beth's voice was somewhat nasal, probably just crying.

"It's me, Beth." Alan said, motioning for Barbara to stay out of the way.

The door opened, and Elan noticed that Beth's eyes were red and the tip of her nose was red. "Maybe I'm crying with a runny nose." Ai Lan thought it was funny. "It doesn't seem like I'm coming at the right time?" Alan asked.

Beth shook her head and said, "I'm Phoenix's butler, and I'll be there for you at all times." โ€

Alan walked into the house, followed by Barbara, who was hiding outside the door. Elan, looking at Beth's room, where a book was thrown onto the bed. Beth noticed Alan's gaze, and she spoke, "I'm reading a book of poetry." She put the books away on the bed and put them back on the shelves. Ailan's vision was far beyond that of ordinary people, and she could clearly see the Greek words written on the spine of the book, the Sappho poetry collection.

"Beth, are you alright?" Barbara asked cautiously as she hid behind Ailan.

"Huh? What's wrong?. Beth pretended nothing had happened.

"I told Mademoiselle." Barbara whispered.

"Huh?" Beth was stunned for a moment, then pleaded with Ailan. "Miss, Barbara won't be like those mutants on the Internet, she's a good boy, and she will definitely not cause any trouble to you, Miss." Beth panicked and began to plead.

"I won't." Ailan replied.

"Beth, I'm not a child anymore, you still don't know if we all became adults that day!" Barbara spoke, but before she could finish her sentence, Beth covered her mouth.

"I know it all, I trust you." Elane left Beth's room and closed the door, but her extraordinary hearing could still hear Barbara's flattery and Beth's displeasure, but the voices quickly became Barbara's pleas for mercy. "I can't imagine that Barbara was spanked, I can't see it, the two of them actually like this kind of interaction," Elan thought to herself, planning to go back to her magic house and continue her experiments.

Outside, the thunder gradually drowned out all the sounds, and Barbara rolled into a ball with Beth and fell into a deep sleep.

"It's a nice rain, and thunder, it's a perfect crime weather." Jin He looked at the scenery outside, exhaled a deep breath of smoke, took a wine glass from the table and drank the wine in the glass, put the direction of the wine glass, the cigar between his fingers, he picked up the phone on the table, dialed a number, and the expression on his face became fierce: "You can do it." โ€

The phone was put back in place, and Kim sat down in the large, sturdy boss chair, putting the cigar back in his mouth, a bloodthirsty smile on his face, "Come on, Daredevil." โ€

"The boss has given the order, let's act." Bullseye tucked the knife in his hand into his belt and said to the group of people sitting on the sofa behind him.

"I'll cover this operation, and the vultures will attract him, and I'll trouble the three of you by killing him." Bullseye said to them flatly. Bullseye was a little disdainful in his heart: "If it weren't for the boss's order, I would have cleaned you up a long time ago, see if you can block me a few times!" โ€

"There's no need to be so troublesome, the three of us are enough." Said a man in a leather coat with dyed green hair. "The boss said we're going to act together." Bullseye said coldly.

"Let them try it, Bullseye, that's what we asked them to do." The vulture spoke from the side.

"Daredevil has appeared in Warehouse Five, and our guards have all been taken out by him." The radio on the bullseye's waist sounded.

"Just in time, I haven't gone to look for him yet, he came by himself!" The green-haired man opened the window, and from here he could see Warehouse Five. "What are you going to do, I'm not interested in blowing the wind, this rain is in!" The vulture said dissatisfied.

"Zac, Pino, let's go." Greenhair said, and Sack and Pinault walked over to Greenhead's side and grabbed him tightly. Sack grabbed the green-haired man's right shoulder and said, "Ryker, slow down, I don't want to throw up." "Got it." Before Sark's voice could completely fade away, the three of them had already disappeared into the office.

The pupils of the bullseye shrank, and the hand subconsciously touched the waist, "It's a little interesting." He thought to himself.

"I'll go to heaven and take it with you here." The vulture took off his coat, stepped on the edge of the window, leaped into the air, and flew into the sky.

"This idiot, the night vision goggles are still on the table." Bullseye looked at the night vision goggles on the table, and chose one he liked to hang around his neck, he didn't like the feeling of night vision goggles, if it wasn't for the rain today, he wouldn't wear it.

Daredevil felt the ** on his belt, and easily opened the container in the warehouse, and as soon as he opened the door, a group of women screamed inside.

"Hey, hey!" Daredevil slammed the door of the container with his club, and the loud sound made the woman stop screaming. "I've dealt with the people outside, can you still go?"

"Yes, we can go." A woman with short hair said.

"Well, you'll start with it later"

"They can't go, and neither can you, Daredevil." Lake shouted.

Daredevil looked back in surprise, and in his perception, the three men appeared suddenly. Before he could figure it out, he was kicked in the back, and after a long period of training, he turned around and fired back, but he didn't hit it. Daredevil rolled into the corner and thought to himself, "These three people are tricky, it looks like I'm going to be in danger." He pressed the button inside the hood.
