Chapter 105: The Magic of the Base

Walking forward along the assembly line in production, Cai Ruichen felt that he had really opened the world.

This kind of world can be seen here. I'm afraid that no matter who it is, seeing the performance of these assembly lines, it will not be much better than him.

But the heart of the tank factory, this production line, is just a very ordinary part.

The production line for assembling modules is, in any case, just assembling the parts of a vehicle together.

A tank factory, on the other hand, is able to produce a complete vehicle on its own without any outsourced parts production plant.

In the future, such an assembly line will not be used to assemble vehicles, but to assemble main battle tanks.

These parts and modules are all produced directly in the factory and without the need for any raw materials.

At least, in the production of the above fifteen rocket launchers, Cai Ruichen did not send a single screw down.

As his footsteps moved forward, Cai Ruichen's eyes were attracted by a tall piece of equipment again.

Brilliant red laser rays, shining down from this device, are on the ground in a pool of ten meters by ten meters square.

The straight pool is filled with a viscous liquid that looks like mud, but with a few differences, and it seems to have a metallic sheen on the surface.

The laser beams transmitted from the irradiation equipment above are scattered in this pool, and in the calm pool, an object resembling an engine is slowly emerging from these liquids.

3D printing - light-curing three-dimensional modeling?

Cai Ruichen doesn't know much about these high-tech, but the viscous liquid in the pool in front of him still has the laser beam on it. It really looks like that's what happened.

Just looking at the rapidly prototyping engine in the pool in front of me. It's just a metal object. Could it be that light-curing three-dimensional modeling can already play a role in metal liquids?

The technology generally uses photosensitive resin as raw material, and the ultraviolet laser under computer control scans the liquid resin point by point with the contour of each layered section of the predetermined part as the trajectory, from point to line to surface, so that the thin layer of resin in the scanned area produces a polymerization reaction, so as to form a thin section of the part.

When the layer is cured. The lifting table moves a distance of one layer thickness and covers the surface of the previously cured resin with a new layer of liquid grease for a new layer of scanning and curing.

The newly cured layer is firmly bonded to the previous layer and repeats until the entire part prototype is complete.

The method is characterized by high precision, good surface quality, and nearly 100% utilization rate of raw materials, which can manufacture parts with particularly complex shapes and fine appearances.

But Cai Ruichen has never heard of it, and he can directly print a complete engine in such a way.

But the truth was in front of his eyes, and what emerged from the pool was an engine.

Next to the pool there is a CNC display that shows a good simulation of the printing process.

The printed engine is the heart of power mounted on the Gaia, in a CNC display. The construction and printing process inside the engine are shown in detail.

What makes Cai Ruichen feel the most amazing is that the whole printing work. It's not about printing out the parts of the engine and then assembling them separately.

Instead, an engine is printed at one time from the engine body, crankshaft connecting rod mechanism, valve mechanism, lubrication system, cooling system, fuel supply system, (diesel engine does not have ignition system) to the starting device.

You must know that the materials in the engine are not all alloys or metals, but also other materials.

But the 3D printer of the tank factory really directly printed a complete engine.

The engine produced in this way cannot be disassembled at all, and there is not a single screw visible in the whole body, and it is inseparable as a whole.

In other words, even if one part of it is broken, it must be thrown away and replaced with a new engine.

The only way to disassemble the engine is to cut it directly with a cutter, but the engine will also be destroyed.

Since the Industrial Revolution, there has not been such a technology, but Cai Ruichen sees it now.

It's very specific in front of him.

Flipping through the production records on the CNC display, Cai Ruichen found that the production process of the Gaia special car he had just taken was to print out various assembled modules here, and then assemble them on the production line.

Even those leather mounts, bulletproof windows and ...... And all the electronic devices in the car are also printed from here.

Printed leather seats, can they still be called leather? Can electronic originals also be printed?

Looking at the viscous liquid in the pool, he didn't know how to answer these questions.

All along, Cai Ruichen knew that the base was very powerful, and he never doubted it.

After all, there are many things in the base that science can't explain now, but he doesn't have a very intuitive understanding of the magic of the base.

Today, Cai Ruichen has truly seen the strong side of base technology, whether it is the fully automated production line he just saw, or this super-large modular production line, all of which have subverted his impression of technology and industry.

Not to mention, the source of the raw materials in that pool must be the base, but why that raw material can be converted into parts of various materials, even if he wants to break his head, he can't figure it out.

On the other hand, the automatic production line also has light-curing three-dimensional modeling, although it looks very magical, but it is not a subversive technology.

After all, with the current technology, it is possible to achieve such a technology sooner or later, after all, automated production is also evolving to a high degree of automation, which is the ultimate manifestation of human industrial development.

And 3D printing technology is also becoming more and more mature, and even Russia has shipped a 3D printer to Syria to produce weapons and ammunition for the troops stationed there.

The real magic of the tank factory should be the unknown materials in the pool.

"Base, what's in this pool?" Cai Ruichen, who was curious, immediately asked the base through the console on his wrist.

"The stuff in this comes from the ore refinery to convert all kinds of ore to get liquid materials." The base replied very dryly.

"Then why haven't I seen these materials appear in the ore refinery?" Cai Ruichen asked.

"The materials recovered from the ore refining plant will be stored, and after the commander chooses to produce weapons and equipment, these liquefied raw materials will be transported through the base to the tank factory, and then produced. In fact, a large part of the base funds is the digitization of these raw materials, and every change in funds is evidence-based. Base replied. (To be continued......)
