Chapter 7 What did Karazan do if he didn't graduate?
Zhao Kun has never grasped the context of time and space so clearly. He felt the silver key wave pull him to a place that was extremely high and non-existent, and all things went from very near to very far, and from the very great to the very small.
From this position, he looked down at random, as if he could see the stars that were emitting light and heat to their fullest, and the beautiful nebulae depicted by countless burning stars. He just swept around at random, and he could see an indescribable rift in time and space like a dream.
But soon, the fall began, and the silver key dragged him down to a certain position.
The world that had been infinitely far away before him was re-amplified, and the sounds around him suddenly woke him up, and he was oozing sweat all over his body, and under the heavy dizziness, he seemed to have been squeezed out of his strength and stood unsteadily.
But he had to stand firm, because after activating the tracking spell, the Silver Key had brought him into Karazhan!
What does this mean? You know, when I approached Karazhan before, the sigil didn't react at all. In other words, this suspicious clue was either alive or sent to Karazan, but in either case, it meant that Zhao Kun would have to explore the Astral Mage's Mage Tower.
It's a high-stakes operation.
Zhao Kun worked hard to maintain various protections and hide his magic with his magic power, and followed the reaction of the mark step by step.
He could feel himself getting closer to something he didn't know what it was. Soon, he heard the sound of booted feet stepping on stone bricks.
Damn it!
The clue he was looking for, the person or object that had intersected with Igronac's power, was it a person or a person?
It's Karazan, the strongest mage on the planet, who lives. Normally, there would only be three people living in this magic tower. Madison; Madison's new apprentice, Khadgar; Madison's loyal old butler.
Unfortunately, the apprentice had already followed Anduin to capture the orcs. And the old butler's pace would never be so brisk......
Zhao Kun has an impulse to go to the sheep in the sun, is he going to fight against Medivan so early? He didn't think he had any chance of winning. He even had the urge to turn around and leave.
But just go away with nothing? No, no kidding, I finally found a clue...... This time the mission ......
He simply didn't know when he would find the next clue, and the punishment for a failed quest to explore...... No one wants to experience it.
So, the man silently recited the spell, turning himself into a shadow and sliding towards his target.
At the entrance of an open-air corridor, Zhao Kun caught up with the target, and a figure was reflected in the soft moonlight on the white stone bricks.
Not Medivan?
The subject was dressed in a silver-scaled cloak, a white hooded cloak obediently crouched behind her, the green silk lining of the cloak could be faintly seen, the silver-rimmed hood tightly covered her blonde hair, and she wore an emerald necklace around her neck, glowing a blurry green glow, as beautiful as her eyesβas brilliant as jadeite after a sassafras.
That's the necklace! Zhao Kun, who felt the divine power of Igronac contained in it, screamed wildly in his heart, but he didn't dare to make any unplanned movements, just cautiously followed her as a shadow.
The door leading from the corridor to the observatory is controlled by an old hinge. The woman put her index finger on her hinge and whispered a short incantation, and the door opened silently. Zhao Kun could see a smile on her face.
There is a balcony not far from the observatory. This balcony hangs from the tower's walls, like a beehive over the tower's main entrance. There, Zhao Kun saw a figure.
The figure seemed to sense something, and jerked back. Zhao Kun could feel a huge spiritual force sweeping over his position, so he had to completely dive into the world of another dimension, the Shadow Realm, to avoid the menacing probe.
By the time Zhao Kun returned to the real world from the shadow realm in embarrassment, the observatory was empty.
The mysterious woman from before was standing at one end of the balcony, and Medivan was standing at the other end.
"How dare you hit your mother?!" He heard the woman shout, noticing her face contorted with anger.
"Mom, I think you're getting a little nervous," Medivan said.
"So you threw me a fireball to sober me up, didn't you?" The woman who was called Madison as a mother interrupted Madison sharply. "Now, answer my question."
Zhao Kun cautiously moved towards the balcony, and at the same time, his mind inexplicably made up a lot of miserable books, all of which were of the Mule Mole Soaring/West Wind Tight type.
"Mom, I think you're misleading," Medivan said.
"Answer me!" Looking at the woman much younger than Medivan - she looked like she was in her early twenties - interrupted him again, "Why did you bring orcs into Azeroth?!" β
"Mom?" Medivan said, his face looking like a child who had made a mistake. But with the appearance of an old man like a guardian and his mother's appearance in her twenties, Zhao Kun's thinking always involuntarily turned to the book.
Young mom with older son...... Wait, what am I thinking?
Zhao Kun in the shadows was a little entangled, could this be the influence of the divine power of the god of filth and betrayal? That's too much influence.
"You can't answer at all, can you?" The beautiful young mother said, "Do you know what you're playing?" A fun little game to challenge your two little friends, Ryan and Lothar, right? The power of Tirisfa is no child's play, child! Even now, the orcs continue to pour into the world, and I've heard about the convoy being attacked in the Black Swamp. Those rookie mages may be able to track them, but at best they can find your portal, and only your mom and I can sense who its creator is. What else do you have to say? β
Madison burst out laughing uncharacteristically.
"What your mom just said makes you laugh, doesn't it?" The woman said snarkyly.
"No," Medivan grinned, "I'm laughing at my mother's confusion." β
"How dare you," the woman shouted angrily, raising her right hand. A bright white ball of light shot out of his palm and flew towards Medivan. And the astral mage easily waved his hand away from it.
"Of course I dare, Mom!" The old guardian said, "I am also capable enough to do this, you gave me the capital to do this, and you gave me this power that I don't want at all." Medivan waved his hand again, and the observatory above was illuminated by a ball of light, and the woman caught it. But compared to Madison's understatement when he received the ball, the woman had to barely do it with two hands, and she was shocked to take a step back.
The strength of the son is significantly stronger than that of the mother.
If the mage's body is now controlled by the demons of the chaotic evil camp within him...... Zhao Kun always felt that the kind of creature that was controlled by his own desires/desires would do something he liked to see.
"But why did you let the orcs come to Azeroth?" The woman's face flushed, and she panted and said, "That's completely unnecessary." You have put all of humanity in danger, what is your purpose? β
"To break the shackles of fate, of course," replied Medivan, "to shatter the world you built for me." For your selfishness, for your vanity, you took advantage of everything, even your own son. Once you can no longer be your guardian, your hand-picked, foster-raised biological son will inherit the position, but he will be held firmly in the palm of your hand for the rest of his life, just like your other pawns. β
"But have you ever thought about the danger of this? Child ......" the woman tried to reason again.
"Dangerous?" "Who's in danger?" Obviously not mine, with the power of the Guardian in hand, what danger can I have? Danger to the rest of the council? They are much more interested in intrigue than in dealing with demons. The danger to the nations of humanity? Eat, drink, and be merry all day, unaware of the demonic threat, and have to protect them quietly by the Guardians. You see, my plan didn't put anyone who really matters at risk. β
"You're doing something far beyond your own power, son."
"Oh, of course," the Astral Mage growled, "I can do this and hurt your pride, don't I?" Because you've also fought against an unbeatable demon king, and you've got the upper hand in the end, right? β
"What happens to the orcs after their victory? They worship evil gods and shadows. Would you want to hand over Azeroth to them? β
"When they are victorious, I will be their king. They are power-worshipping, Mom, and that's different from you, and not like all the others in this poor world. Thanks to you, I am now the most powerful being in the world. I will break the shackles that you have placed on me, and I will rule over all. β
The woman was silent for a long time before she spoke, "You are not my son. βγ
The Astral Mage laughed, "You just happened to be right. I was never your son. It's never really your son, no matter how you understand it. β
His voice changed from old age to a low, thunderous laugh.
The woman was shocked: "Dark Titan Sargeras?!" She carefully recognized the voice for a moment, and finally confirmed, "I obviously killed you with my own hands." β
"You killed a body, witch. You only killed my flesh! Medivan roared, and at the same time, his shadow moved, stood up, and devoured him. His body had turned to shadow and flame, his beard had turned to flames, and ebony goat horns had grown from his forehead. "You killed me and hid my body in an ancient tomb deep in the ocean. But to achieve something as great as today, I'd rather sacrifice that body. β
The woman staggered back two steps, one hand covering her stomach.
"You guessed it, dear mother," the Astral Mage had taken on a different formβflames darting across his beard, and the smoke in front of his eyebrows had cleared, revealing a pair of horns. "I infiltrated your body, hidden in the cells of your unformed son. I am his corrupter, his innate evil, an evil that you will never be aware of. It can't defeat you, and it's unlikely that you'll be converted. So I simply made your own offspring. β
The woman raised her hands in anger and shouted a spell, her words distorted and out of tune with extreme anger, and the sound she made did not resemble a human voice at all. A beam of glittering iridescent energy slammed into Medivan/Sargeras's chest.
However, her foe held the beam with one hand and pushed it backwards. The woman was knocked into the room.
"I won't kill you, Mom," the demonic figure said, "and some part of me is preventing me from doing so." But I can weaken you. Wound you badly and banish, and when you regain your strength, when you return from the place where I banished you, the world will be mine. This world! And the power of the parliament! And you! β
He suddenly turned his face in Zhao Kun's direction, "Have you seen enough, little bug?" β
Two green rays of light erupted from his eyes and came straight towards Zhao Kun.
Exposed! Zhao Kun, who knew that it was not good, instinctively wanted to hide in the shadow realm, but found that he was imprisoned. He had no choice but to activate the defensive spells prepared in the spell book as much as possible, hoping to resist the attacks of the Demon King, the Dark Titan.
There is no doubt that Zhao Kun's dying throes have no effect. Sargeras is one of the top combat forces in this world, and what Zhao Kun is doing now is almost like a player who has just left the novice village wants to open skills to save his life from the final boss.
He immediately felt that the part of himself that had been touched by the light was disappearing. His pitiful magic really didn't work even slightly in the face of the other party's spells.
And the last struggle Zhao Kun could make was to throw his magic book towards Medivan's mother with a spell. Then he smiled bitterly and was turned to ashes by the other party's spell.
I now know why Karazhan graduated to play Karazan...... It was the poor man's last thought before he was engulfed in spells.
