Chapter Twenty-Eight: If You Have Money, You Have to Lose
After people are born in the next life, they get a pass to death, so Ge Hong, the son of Pu in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, said in his writings that life is like a sheep that is led to the market to be slaughtered, and every step will be close to death.
This is life, birth, old age, sickness and death, there is life and death, and this is also the root of all suffering.
If you want to get rid of suffering and break through life and death, you have to go through the path of cultivation, sublimate to the level of human beings, be reborn, and become a person who has attained enlightenment.
Those who have attained enlightenment are called "true people"
。
The true man is not born or born, he is an eternal being who is one with the Tao.
Some people think that it doesn't matter if this life is not good, don't I have the next life?
Can I start all over again?
This is the "reincarnation" of Buddhism
Concept, of course, Taoism also has its concept of reincarnation, in more folk sayings: people are reincarnated after death, and the soul will return to the yang world from the underworld and experience the course of life again, which is also called reincarnation.
As we all know, the Buddhist system is relatively stable, and the presiding officer of each monastery can travel from one temple to the next, which is called "Yunyou"
And what about our Taoism?
You will probably rarely hear of a Taoist head who changed from the head of Maoshan to the head of Longhu Mountain, because there are many Taoist sects and different systems.
In China, our native religion, Taoism, pays more attention to the improvement of personal cultivation, because they are more willing to regard themselves as the masters of the world, all sentient beings, and the general public, which Buddhism only pays attention to.
To a certain extent, this has also led to the fact that Taoism has a weak sense of participation among the whole people, and even has been slowly marginalized, and can only be partially integrated and retained in some folk traditions, which makes Taoism decline day by day.
How do you think about life and death?
Cha Wenbin has always thought that life and death are just natural laws, and in his world, his master Ma Sufeng will not tell him these empty truths, and he only teaches him occasional rise, but now that he thinks about it, it is more and more wrong.
What's wrong?
First of all, Ma Sufeng is a master, but he is like a fire dwelling Taoist priest, drinking and hanging out every day, and he has no restraint on himself.
He doesn't even have strict rules for Cha Wenbin, he doesn't look like a person who pays attention to cultivation, but is this really the case?
At least Cha Wenbin thinks that his master is not so unbearable, a sect that has been passed down for thousands of years must have a reason for its survival, relying on the appearance of a warlock in the rivers and lakes, let alone a thousand years, even if this life is over, it can only barely make ends meet.
Second, what the man asked him could learn from the master, Cha Wenbin's answer to the mantra classics, drawing talismans and reciting mantras, and yin and yang gossip are really full for himself, if Ma Sufeng really taught him something, that is, he occasionally showed his own way in front of him once or twice, and most of them were performed by folk sandao on a sacrificial field.
These things are not very profound, I am afraid that some famous Jianghu Taoist priests can play a few tricks, more often he will ask Cha Wenbin to meditate and meditate, and then push him to the tomb of the lonely mountain to spend the night to strengthen his courage, think about it carefully, there are really not many substantive things Ma Sufeng Sect.
Third, wasn't Cha Wenbin's current ability taught by his master?
The answer is: he is self-taught!
Ma Sufeng has a few boxes, and there are many ancient books in them, most of which are yellowed thread-bound manuscripts, these books are to be read by Cha Wenbin, and Old Man Ma will not stop them.
Most of them are some Taoist classics, and some are some summaries of the teachings of Tianzheng Dao in the past dynasties plus what he has seen and heard, these classics were later burned into ashes in the Cultural Revolution, how much Cha Wenbin can learn, most of them are how much he has read, unfortunately, he decided to read less than one-tenth.
Fourth, Ma Sufeng never told Cha Wenbin about the past of Tianzheng Dao, nor did he tell him about his past, and seemed to deliberately avoid the history of Tianzheng Yixi.
This is very abnormal for a sect that has existed for thousands of years, the old man Ma will take the young Cha Wenbin nostalgia to shuttle through various white occasions, on the surface in order to eat and drink and make a little money, but Cha Wenbin always feels that his master is not that kind of person, at least he never gives fortune tellers, no matter how big the ticket you take!
Fifth, in the years of travel, Ma Sufeng took Cha Wenbin to many places, and many so-called masters of the rivers and lakes treated this old man with respect, including some famous mountains and rivers with great halls.
So Ma Sufeng should have been a somewhat influential figure in the past, but he was in a hurry all the way, he didn't preach to others, and took this apprentice either in a hurry or in the countryside to show off some skills, and seemed to intend to lead this apprentice to a very ordinary folk Taoist road.
"Master?"
Cha Wenbin had doubts in his heart for the first time when he was incense today...... In the mid-80s, the market for the profession of Taoist priest was still relatively wide in the countryside, when the rural population was larger than it is now, and the level of medical care was far less developed than it is now.
The high rate of illness, high mortality, lack of information, and insufficient level of education all made Taoist priests achieve a good development in that period, and people with better conditions became popular at that time with the custom of renovating old tombs, and I don't know where they started to take the lead.
In the past, there were many children of the elderly, three or four siblings were common, and there were many big families of seven, eight, or ten.
During the period from the 80s of the last century to the post-liberation period, the funeral culture in rural China was mostly simple, firstly, everyone had no money, and secondly, the society at that time opposed feudal superstition.
Since the collapse of the Gang of Four, the reform and opening up, and the economy have slowly begun to recover, the common people naturally have to return to a little bit of their previous traditions.
Mound mounds, which were the most common in those days, were conical shaped, two or three square meters were large, and there was a fence made of stones on the outside.
This kind of tomb has a very poor ability to resist natural erosion, and the tomb will be lowered in a few years, not to mention any anti-theft and waterproof function.
I don't know about other places, in our area it is said that there is a family surnamed Kong who was entrusted with a dream, the Kong family has five children, three sons and two daughters have already married, the eldest is in his early sixties, and the ancestor Lao Kong died in the sixties, and he was buried with his wife on the hill bag behind him.
The northwest of Zhejiang is rich in loess, no different from the general grave, the thatch is overgrown, the two graves are separated by less than one meter, there is neither a tombstone nor an epitaph, it is the most simple kind.
The father and son of the boss of the Kong family have made a little money in the project outside these years, and when they returned to the village, they wanted to show off, and they built a house that was not enjoyable, and proposed to renovate the ancestral tomb for Lao Kong, and glorify the lintel.
Boss Kong now has two dollars in his pocket, but his brothers and sisters are still struggling to eat and wear the main line, this ancestral tomb must pay attention to each family to make some efforts, so Boss Kong and his brothers and sisters to lobby, find a total of local craftsmen, Mao estimated that about 5,000, he proposed a family of 1,000, more than five brothers and sisters to divide equally, less of it, he Kong Boss a shoulder.
This proposal seems reasonable, but his younger siblings really have no conditions to bear it, and the posture of walking around and going door to door can make him feel angry enough.
Boss Kong has been out for a few years, and knows some people with a door, he went out for a few days and then came back very mysteriously, and a few days later, he convened a meeting of the family again, this time at the meeting, no one objected to the construction of the grave, and a few brothers went out to borrow money and got together.
That's it, Boss Kong invited back a "master" outside again
, said that it was going to pick a day to prepare and start drying.
At that time, Hong Village in the northwest of Zhejiang was poor, but as long as the villagers had something to say, the east and west families would come to help.
If the Confucian family wants to build a new tomb, the price is 5,000 yuan, which was an astronomical amount at that time, for example, my uncle's family built a house that year, a full five and a half rooms, with a courtyard outside, it was only 3,000 yuan.
5,000 yuan to build a grave, which caused a sensation in the small mountain village at that time, this boss Kong is of course a smart person, by thanking the neighbors in the village for their help over the years, saying that he wants to hold a banquet, but in fact he is planning to collect money.
Other people's houses are built to collect money, and the house is good, and the old grave has to collect money, but people say it, his pomp is big, and you have seen a yin house built for 5,000 yuan?
It's much more luxurious than any living house in your family!
Lao Xia's family naturally received an invitation, nominally to help, but in fact, it was to call you to eat and drink.
Don't go, others will scold you for being stingy, let's go, Xia Lao Liu feels aggrieved, this is a knife for people to slaughter.
In order to save face, Xia Laoliu carried a big unity in his pocket, and called Comrade Xia Qiushi and his mother together, so since it is a meal bought with money, then the whole family will go to eat, and how much can be eaten back!
This old man's new house is magnificent, the courtyard is three zhang high, walk in and take a look, good guys, rockeries, fish ponds, small pavilions, the walls of the two-story building are plastered with mosaics!
The roof of the person is covered with red ocean tiles, and a four-speaker tape recorder in the courtyard is singing Teresa Teng's beautiful voice, and Boss Kong is standing in the courtyard with a few poor brothers with a red face to welcome guests, and the smile on his face looks like he is going to get married today!
This dinner has to be held for two days, the first day is called the help wine, and the second day is the main wine.
What does it mean, on the first day, the men will be assigned to work, responsible for the preparation of materials for the banquet, a favor when going up the mountain to build a tomb, and the women will be responsible for washing vegetables and cooking.
The next day there was a grave move, and that was the real feast.
Xia Lao Liu pinched the ten yuan in his pocket and reluctantly handed it to the account room, thinking in his heart that Lao Tzu would give you all the food back even if he broke his teeth, and the task of helping after paying the money was also assigned: Xia Lao Liu was responsible for going to the grave and cement, and Comrade Xia Qiushi was relatively light, responsible for making tea and miscellaneous with a group of guys who were about the same age.
In the morning, Comrade Xia Qiushi first received the task of delivering tea and snacks to the workers on the mountain.
There is a small bamboo forest about two kilometers back from the house of the Confucian family, all the bitter bamboo, this kind of bamboo likes yin and tide, and the tomb of the second elder of the Confucian family is under the bamboo forest.
This material was transported very early, and today it is actually some finishing work, mainly the upper beam and the sealing of the soil.
The people on the construction site are busy, this place is not far from the old tomb, it is said that it is the "master" invited by Boss Kong
To choose the place, the shape of this new tomb is very chic, half on the ground, half underground, I heard that it is imitated by the Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang's system, it is a miniature version......
