Thirty-six kinds of ghosts
At 9:23 p.m., the three of them were so nervous on Yuquan Mountain that they didn't know what to do. In the stands, you can see the lights of high-rise buildings in the distance, the round moon hangs from the sky, and countless stars in the sky surround the moon as if they are watching the excitement, but at the foot of Yuquan Mountain it is extremely dark, only the street lamps are illuminated but are covered by mosquitoes and dimmed.
After the disc was broken, it turned into green smoke and red smoke ignited, which lasted for a long time.
Xiao Tian yawned and said: Hey! You two are doing it! It's cold up there! Feed! Did you hear me!
I ignored Xiao Tian and asked Zunjie in a low voice: You said that the two of us standing alone is not a solution! Why don't you run away!
Hi, that's a great idea. Zun Jie clapped his hands and suddenly realized that he was surprised: In this way, people not far away may have already discovered us, and it is not appropriate to stay here for a long time. Second, didn't Liu Long go to the abbot master, let's go to them, and they will also come to us, so that we can meet and kill this evil ghost!
As he spoke, the smoke cleared and a ghost appeared on the stone, a spherical head full of pure white, eyes the size of a fist, and a very flat nose that I now wonder how it could breathe. There are no ears because they may not see. The mouth is like a clown. The spherical spirit hung in the air nearly a meter above the ground, and there was a blue flame burning on the outer layer.
I asked Zunjie what the hell is this? I heard Master talk about 36 kinds of ghosts, and he came out with "Reciting the Dharma Sutra and Hungry Ghost Products". As described in the "Five Paths Sutra", the very big ones are one hundred years long, and the head is like Mount Tai, and the very small ones are only three inches long. The Dharma Torch Dharani Sutra says: "There are also many hungry ghosts who have no name, and who change their bodies and take on various forms with the flick of their fingers. "It's so strange and varied.
Ghosts generally live longer than humans. The 20th volume of the "Chang A Han Sutra" says: "The ghost takes the first month of the world as a day, and takes this time to become a month old, and the life span is 500 years." "It has been in the world for 15,000 years. The sutra also says: "The hungry ghost lives for 100,000 years, and the more and the less." "The Dharma Sutra says that the lifespan of the 36 types of ghosts is 500 years old, and the lifespan of the human world is 1.8 million years old.
The dwelling place of ghosts, the "Dharma Recitation Sutra" says that there are two major places in the world of hungry ghosts. "The Treatise on Bhasha" is divided into two categories: the main residence, the main residence, the name of the hungry ghost world, under the Yan Futi where my people live, 500 by 100 years, 36,000 by the long, by the king of Yama. Frontier dwelling, that is, secondary dwellings, among which those who have Widder live in valleys, air, seashores, the heavens of the Buddha, the heavens of the four kings, etc., and those who do not have Widder live in the earthly vegetation, tombs, latrines, empty houses, wilderness, etc. In the twentieth year of the "Chang Ah Han Sutra", the Buddha told the bhikshus: "All the houses where the people live, there are ghosts and gods, and there are no empty ones. In all the streets and alleys, in the Tu'er market and among the mounds, there are ghosts and gods, and there are no empty people. All ghosts and gods are named according to their names, according to people, villages, cities, countries, lands, mountains, and rivers...... All trees that are as small as axles have ghosts and spirits to rely on, and there is no emptiness. When all men and women are first born, they are supported by ghosts and gods, and if they die, they protect the spirits of their spirits, and their people die. ”
It is also said that if the wicked people who do ten evils are hundreds or thousands, they will be guarded by a ghost and god, like a herd of cattle and sheep, and one person grazing; A good man has a hundred thousand gods to protect him. For this reason, there are people in the world who are touched and attached to ghosts and gods and get sick and suffer from disasters, and there are people who are not disturbed by ghosts and gods. It is also said that the quality of the people's homestead corresponds to the size of the ghosts and gods sealed in the place, the great gods seal the house of peace and prosperity, and the small gods seal the house for the next people, and the Buddha sees the immeasurable ghosts and gods in Delhi (when it is the wilderness) one day with the eyes of the heavens, and predicts that the land will prosper soon, and then it was built into the largest city in India.
There are 36 types of ghosts.
