Chapter IV: Inquiries and Surveillance

Soon after, when Alex's parents were shushing Alex and trying their best to warm their son, who had just experienced such a big stimulation, two tall middle-aged men walked in with a cough.

"Excuse me, I'm Wenner, this is Ciric, and we're federal investigators." One of the men with eyes introduced the identities of him and the bald man behind him, and then spoke again in the somewhat surprised eyes of the three Alex: "I understand your feelings, but I still have a few questions for Alex?" The eyed man said, his inquiring gaze at Alex and his parents.

"Nope! My son is now too weak to accept your inquiries, so please get out! Alex's father frowned, stood up and tried to kick the two uninvited guests out.

"Sir, this may bother you. But I think we'll have to ask a few questions while the memory is still fresh now. This is helpful for salvation and probing. And your son is still an important person, and the data he provides can be crucial. The man with glasses named Wenner did not back down, but continued, hoping to get their permission, he didn't want to use force, it was a very troublesome thing.

"Dad, let them ask, I just want to hurry home now." Alex spoke suddenly, agreeing to the questioning of the two federal agents.

"Okay, son, listen to you." Alex's father saw the fragility on his son's face and agreed with his son's decision. "Still. I hope you guys hurry up and stop hurting my son again! He said, getting out of the way.

Wenner walked over to Alex's bed, moved a stool and sat down, and began to ask, "Before the plane exploded, you said that the plane would explode, how did you know?" ”

"I have a hunch, I have a premonition in advance, a very strange premonition." Alex thought back, and replied with some staccato answers.

"Have you ever taken sleeping pills, tranquilizers or psychedelics before? Or have you taken it on an airplane? Wenner continued.

"Nope." Alex directly denied it. Then he said: "I saw the explosion of the plane in advance." ”

"You mean, you can see the future? Scold! Wenner seemed amused and laughed straight out.

Alex didn't know what to think when he saw Wenner's smile. He nodded calmly. Wenner was amazed. If you want to ask again. but was slapped by Cirikra behind him. Ciric stepped forward, then asked a somewhat sharp question.

"You said it before the plane exploded. It's a pity that Carter didn't stay on the plane, and you said that because of a hunch? Ciric said, his eyes fixed on Alex, trying to see through his every move.

"That's because I'm not entirely sure the plane will explode," Alex replied after a moment's thought.

"So, why did you get off the plane?" Wenner interjected and asked, looking at Alex with a hint of suspicion.

"Hey! What do you mean? Are you suspecting my son of causing this accident?! Alex's father excitedly walked over and grabbed Wenner by the collar.

Alex looked at Wenner like an idiot, a puppet? Then he looked surprisingly calm and said, "That's because, I was scared, I was afraid that the plane would explode, and I was frightened by that warning." ”

"Hey! Are you done asking? Get out as soon as you're done, my son needs a break! Alex's father is like a lion at the moment, guarding his cubs. The original scholarly anger is gone, replaced by a domineering one that matches his strong body!

Wenner and Shirek looked at each other, then got up and left the room. Alex looked at the backs of the two of them leaving, and there seemed to be a faint flash of purple light in his eyes, and then it was quickly extinguished by some kind of force.

Soon after, Alex went home with his parents after another check-up, at his insistence.

Back at home, Alex locked himself in his room in the name of resting. Then, he sat quietly on the bed, and all kinds of fragmented images flashed in his mind like lightning.

"Huh! Am I ancient? A reincarnation? What is a reincarnation? Why do I have these strange memories" Alex muttered to himself, the purple glow in his eyes slowly brightening up and getting brighter and brighter.

"Buzz!" A rapidly concussive sound came from an unknown place, striking Alex in an instant. "Ahh Alex hugged his head and fell unconscious in a low scream that should have been loud, but was actually small. The purple light in his eyes struggled a few times, and then shattered like a phantom again

"Thirty-nine days ago, we lost thirty-nine dear teachers and friends, and as time passed, the cause of the plane crash was not identified, and the knot in our hearts could not be untied" In a playground at Mount Abraham Middle School, a priest dressed in black prayed for the souls of the dead to rest in peace.

Among the many parents and students below, Alex sat quietly listening with a sad expression on his face. Suddenly, he turned his head as if he had noticed, and looked behind him. In the last row, there stood several men in black suits, two of whom were Wenner and Shirek, who had been to his house several times.

Alex suddenly felt a burst of irritability in his heart for no reason, and he hated these two guys very much for some reason. It seems that it was not because they questioned him many times, but for some inexplicable reason.

When the priest's prayer ended, people in the crowd slowly began to stand up and walk forward, ready to present white flowers to the deceased. Alex was silent for a moment, then stood up as well, and walked forward with the crowd.

In the crowd, Alex saw six others who had escaped like him. Carter glanced at Alex and turned his head away with a cold snort, but he didn't feel that Alex was kind to him at all.

Alex also saw the strange girl Claire, but Claire didn't seem to pay attention to him and turned in the other direction.

"Hey! Alex, do you think I'll have a short life? Billy, who had been close to him since the plane crash, suddenly appeared in front of him and asked a very abrupt question.

"Nope! You will hand in good luck and you will live a long life! Alex glanced at Billy and replied somewhat perfunctorily.

"But when I was getting my driver's license, the coach said to me, 'Young man, you're going to die young.'" Billy seemed a little reluctant, looking at Alex with slightly cold eyes.

"I" Alex was a little speechless, and he didn't know what to say for a moment.

"Hehe, I don't care about those, I only care about your words." Billy said something a little inexplicable, gave Alex a slightly meaningful look, and then turned and disappeared into the crowd.

Alex saw that a faint blue light seemed to flash in the depths of Billy's eyes, and his mind suddenly appeared in a momentary trance. Shaking his head slightly, Alex continued to walk forward, coming to the monument to the victims of the air crash, and put down the white flower in his hand.

"Hey!" Alex had barely left the monument when Todd walked up to him and patted him gently.

"Hey, me" Alex looked at Todd, feeling a little about to say something.

"I know it's not your fault. But my dad doesn't understand how about we go for a ride together when he's calmed down. Todd looked at Alex with understanding and said with a serious look.

"Okay, it's a deal!" Alex finally had a little smile on his ugly face.

"Well, that's a deal." Todd also showed an ugly, but delightful smile. "Teacher Liu Dun asked me to recite the memorial speech, and I want to pass." With that, Todd patted Alex on the shoulder and walked towards the podium.

Alex turned his head to look at Todd's back, and a sad feeling suddenly surged in his heart for no reason, as if something bad was about to happen.

Alex's gaze passed through Todd and saw Lyudun on the side of the podium, and a faint purple light suddenly flashed in his eyes for a moment. When he saw Lyudun, he seemed to feel a sense of familiarity. Not the kind of familiarity between teachers and students, but an indescribable familiarity.

And with this familiarity comes a kind of fear, a fear that is about to see what is most important to you lose. Suddenly, Alex felt a sudden pain in his head, and the purple light that had just lit up in his eyes instantly vanished, and his eyes returned to that sad look. The gaze that looked at Liu Dun was also unfamiliar, as if the moment just now had never existed. (To be continued......)
