XVII. Blood Blanket

On the side of the swamp, there is not much clear water, and a lot of sedimentary dead things are quietly piled up there, there are rotten branches, there are withered fallen leaves, and there are some white bones of creatures who have been pulled down from the water by the monsters in the swamp and died at the water's edge, they are buried here all year round and finally become "scenery".

But now these landscapes are too big a barrier for that blanket-like creature, a best barrier for hunting.

I've pretty sure that the blanket is a creature. Nothing is impossible in this place, I have witnessed so much. From chickens, to zombies, and the weirdness inside the tomb, I seem to have begun to truly understand the world.

There was still not a single wind blowing in the swamp. But the blanket had already floated to my feet, and it probably thought I hadn't discovered it yet, so it was still wandering through the muddy swamp, but my cold sweat was slowly running through.

I've never seen a creature like this, and until now I still have a thought in my heart that it was just an illusion before telling me it wasn't a creature, but the next second I saw the whole thing for what it was.

One corner of the blanket appears to be its head, with two thin, shining eyes that reflect a faint light in the light of the lamp, and the other corner of the symmetry is actually its wings or hands. The blanket immediately felt like someone was next to the pool, and then a miracle happened, the blanket suddenly flew up, slid over the surface of the pool, and flew straight towards me, I exclaimed and immediately ducked away, only to see that the thing did not hit me, and fell on the other side of the swamp with a pop.

I ran as fast as I could on the rocks, glancing around from time to time, the blanket was gone, but I knew there was more than just one. Sure enough, the water on all sides of me suddenly began to murge, as if something was faintly exploding underneath.

"Something is driving them off the water, there's something down there." I took a breath, there wasn't much time left for me to sense the crisis, I stopped, prepared for the final sprint, inhaled, breathed, and breathed in between the blankets floating in heaps on the swamp.

The sound of "boom" seemed to be the collapse of the curtain, and the death behind the curtain all rushed towards me, I didn't want to turn my head at anything, and rushed towards the front frantically, the huge black shadow was churning and dancing in the swamp, like a dragon in the last days, singing songs mourning the world in the flames of war.

"Like a snake?" I gritted my teeth. Let countless blankets jump around my head from side to side. They jumped from the swamp on my left hand side to the swamp on the other, but unfortunately these things have very small eyes, and here they can only sense with the most basic sense of smell.

But often the sense of smell is the only one who can deceive me, I am now standing on the side of the wind, the wind blows the smell of the swamp and the forest on my body without reservation, and I rub a little mud on my body intentionally or unintentionally, so those blankets are now simply blind cat bites.

I've walked through countless blankets, and now it's like an Alice in Wonderland, but what kind of disgusting person would have such a dream?

I thought about shaking off the fruit that had fallen from the water tree, and then something seemed to be attached to my shoulder, and I looked sideways, and it was a blanket, and I don't know what had fallen on me, and in the sky was a great web of them, but he was the first to catch me. I watched as it broke away from the swamp's transparent body, veins visible beneath the flesh.

I slowed down and laughed and tried to rip the little thing off, only to realize that it was stuck to my body. But the blanket was so tightly wrapped that it was covered in moss, and I couldn't tear it off anyway. The blanket was fluffy and slippery with a layer of mucus on it, which was supposed to be secreted.

As time passed, I still had nothing to do with the "blanket", and the originally transparent "blanket" actually began to turn a little red, and slowly the surface of the "blanket" was terrible red, as if it would drip blood, and I said in my heart, "It's not good, this 'blanket' is blood-sucking." ”

"Fuck!" I began to get nervous in my heart, this is already playing with my life, so many blood blankets in the sky, if they all pounce on me? I gritted my teeth, and there was a tightness in my left shoulder, as if it had been hit by electricity, and then, distinctly, I felt the flesh slowly shrink towards one place.

"It hurts." I couldn't help but cry out. But then the most terrible thing happened, and those blood blankets seemed to have a spirit surname, and they all rushed in my direction now. More and more blankets were spread over me, but fortunately I felt myself getting closer and closer to the shore, the layers of leaves on the ground were soft carpets, the flowers and fruits of the water trees hung upside down like strings of chains, and I saw everything in my eyes, but I had no time left.

My hands and feet were no longer felt, and the only thing that could touch me was instinct, and the flesh and skin of my whole body began to contract violently, as if a pulling machine was about to break my bones, and I screamed hoarsely, and finally fell to the ground.

"Fire, fire, fire." I made meaningless movements on my body with my hands and feet, and muttered, "A creature that has been in water for a long time must have half the proportion of water in and out of its body, let alone this transparent creature." ”

But it all seemed futile, and I struggled to roll on the ground, hoping that the dirt and fallen leaves would wipe off a few of the blood blankets that covered me. In the end, there was really no way, the pain gradually made me unconscious, and all that was left was the unbearable feeling of itching. I used all my strength to grab my body with my teeth, stabbed and pulled off my coat, I threw the pieces of my clothes aside, only to see a thing suddenly float up and finally fall into the pool with a thud.

"That's right. Clothes, these things say they suck my blood, but they are also attached to my coat! I hurriedly rolled around and took off my coat and threw it aside. I watched as the almost red things climbed off my clothes one by one, and finally convulsed and slowly took off, thinking about the waterhole. I was a little surprised at how well it could fly, and I hurried away from the swamp. On the way, there were several cramp-like pain in the shoulder. I didn't pay attention at first, until I walked a few meters away, and I tilted my head to see a few blood blankets stuck to my clothes. I turned my head to look at it, looking at it so closely and with such an "air" was probably the only time in my life, I probably didn't know that my hand was a little necrotic, but I knew it was fucking disgusting.

Its ventral surface was filled with lamp-like suckers, which were constantly oozing red fluid, moving in the blood blanket. Those red liquids are all secreted by the blanket after absorbing my blood, but these are not problems, the main thing is my hand, my current hand is unconscious for a short time, maybe the blood has been drained, that kind of miserable white hand, not to be a living person at all, but more like a dead person.

I don't have much time! I hurriedly tossed my back aside, pushed the leaves and dry branches on the ground into a twig, then poured out a little of the gasoline inside, lit the fire with pain, took another branch, and slowly slid it against my shoulder. The flames burned through the blood carpet, and the blood carpet immediately made a "squeaking" sound. Then immediately all the blood vessels that had been inserted into my body were extracted. Then he lifted a corner and looked at me with its tiny eyes, which might have been a warm feeling if it was a pet mink lying on your shoulder, but now a creepy feeling came over you.

Without thinking about anything, I waved it aside, watched it drift away, and then what? I naturally saw the swamp, the black shadow in the distance had completely struggled out of the mud, it was too far away for me to see its face clearly, but I could vaguely tell from the appearance of its body that it was a snake.
