Chapter 16: The Human Shadow (Part II)
The British were followed by the French, and the Frenchman came to the cave a few months after Stein's departure, and he used his knowledge of Sinology to select the best parts of the cave, and the Mogao Caves experienced another catastrophe. But a few years later, Stein came here again, and it was another plunder, and now these things, which represent the highest artistic value of national Buddhism, are in museums in Britain and France.
According to public historical records, the history of the plundering of the Mogao Grottoes is as follows:
In 19071914, Stein in England twice looted more than 10,000 pieces of suicide notes.
In 1908, the Frenchman Birch selected the best books from the cave and looted about 5,000 pieces.
In 1910, most of the remnants of the cave were transported to Beijing and handed over to the Beijing Normal Library for collection.
In 1911, the Japanese Tachibana Zuisao and Yoshikawa Koichiro looted about 600 scriptures from Wang Daoshi.
In 1914, the Russian Oldenburg took a batch of scripture manuscripts from Dunhuang, surveyed and mapped the caves, and stole the murals of Cave 263.
In 1924, Warner, an American, used a special chemical glue to glue and steal 26 murals in the Mogao Grottoes.
What I want to say here is related to the shadow shadow after the American Warner, and the stolen mural caused a sensation when it was moved to the other side of the ocean, especially one of its Japanese named Yamashita Shu, who was a Japanese student in the United States at that time. As we all know, Japan is a country that advocates Buddhism, and these murals from Gu Laodongfang deeply shocked the mountain, when his neck had stretched across the vast Pacific Ocean, and greedy saliva dripped on the land of Dunhuang.
In the spring of 1937, Yamashita Shu followed the Japanese North China Front to the border of Gansu, and Dunhuang had not completely fallen at that time, but Yamashita Shu couldn't wait. A team of 20 chariots and horses, Qiao Zhuangcheng merchants, began to infiltrate Dunhuang, and the Nationalist government had strengthened the protection of national treasures, and the excavated Dunhuang Temple was guarded by about a battalion of troops.
Yamashita Hidemi saw that he could not get his hands on the cave, so he set his sights on some unattended areas, he studied archaeology in the United States, and after entering the country, he plundered underground objects in North China and committed heinous crimes. With his knowledge of the country and his own knowledge, he found a completely collapsed underground palace fifteen kilometers north of the Mogao Grottoes discovered by Daoist Wang.
When he entered the palace, Yamashita found many murals, so he learned from the American's methods, took the first mural, and began a one-sided massacre.
In the end, only one of the team survived, but he was also blinded by his eyes, and was later captured by the local Eighth Route Army guerrillas, and was not repatriated until the defeat of Japan, so that the secret was finally revealed.
Most of the people in the murals were samurai, and when he removed the first painting, a Tang man with a long knife slashed at him, and the team under the mountain were all well-trained military agents, but unfortunately their bullets didn't seem to be able to kill the strange people. More and more people began to appear, those Tang Dao were cold and ruthless, and in an instant, more than half of the team under the mountain was lost, except for the one who escaped, the rest were all killed.
It was already after the founding of the People's Republic of China that this incident was revealed, and all this told by the blind Japanese soldier at that time was not believed. The Japanese people who admired the spirit of bushido thought that he was just a deserter who surrendered and stole his life, and telling these absurd and bizarre stories was nothing more than to wash away his national pride.
However, his story aroused the interest of another American journalist, and after his dictation, the American reporter compiled the story into a book, and it was not until the Dunhuang fever was rekindled in the West that it attracted attention in China.
According to the memoirs of the Japanese soldier, the relevant departments easily opened the underground palace, and more than a dozen Japanese spies who had long been turned into bones were really found inside. However, this underground palace is still not open, and the reason is only known to a few people, and Zha Bin is one of them. When he was in Luomen, he heard the wind talk about it, and he didn't expect that he would encounter this kind of human shadow today, watching the old lady and the young man begin to approach step by step, Ye Qiu took the lead in launching an offensive, and after "brushing" two knives, it turned into a puddle of powder, but it didn't take long for it to reappear, it seemed that this thing couldn't be killed, and it couldn't be hidden.
After tossing back and forth three times, the fat man seemed to have found a flaw in it, and he stared at the puddle of powder on the ground and said, "Sweep all these things into the water, and I'll see if it can get up again." ”
As he spoke, he rushed over and grabbed the powder from the old lady's feet and threw it into the pool, only to hear a faint scream of "ah", and the water surface flashed like some big fish jumped up to prey, and the waves flashed and regained their calm.
waited until the next time, and sure enough, the old lady did not appear again, and the fat man concocted the same method, and threw the young man in it by the way.
After finding the way to crack it, the fat man was suddenly shocked by his confidence, and simply ran outside and shouted at the murals: "If you want to go down to take a bath like them, you can come out, Lao Tzu is waiting here."
I don't know if it was the outbreak of the fat man that scared them, or because it was only those two who were the ones who were doing it, and he scolded there for a moment without seeing another mess pop up. Back in the pool, the fat man decided to take off his clothes and go down to fish for his stone treasure, but Cha Bin vaguely felt that it was inappropriate.
"That kid can't tell what it is, so we'd better wait." Judging by Cha Bin, it was probably a dirty thing, but the kid didn't seem to be hostile, just deliberately playing with them.
"When will I go" The fat man only had a pair of pants left at this time, he put the flashlight in his mouth and said: "Cha Ye, I believe in a sentence, no matter how fierce the ghost is, he must be soft when he encounters someone who is more ruthless than him, Lao Tzu has seen it today, the more you are afraid of him, the more cowardly he is, and his arrogance is more arrogant than you." Saying that, he shouted into the pool: "I'll tell you, the fat man is just asking for money this time, everyone who gives face is fine, I'll give you a whole piece of paper when I turn around, if you want to make trouble, you will make Lao Tzu angry, and turn back the whole ** want your nest to fuck off"
His spittle star flew sideways, where can anyone compete with ghosts, otherwise how can he be said to be a strange person. Cha Bin didn't stop him anymore when he saw his tendon meat, he told the fat man's fortune, this guy is hard enough. Zha Bin has seen that the fat man was born on the first day of the ninth month, as the saying goes, men are afraid of the first day of the new year, and women are afraid of fifteen. If a boy is a girl in the first year of junior high school, the eight-character character will be harder if she is fifteen years old. But life is restricted, and people with a strong life will overcome the people around them, so people with a hard life will sometimes be very lonely.
What does the eight-character life hardness mean, and what is the hardness of life, that is, they can survive the general adversity. The fat man's daily stem and five elements are the main soil, and the soil is the main wealth, but he has a little fire but has not been restrained, and most of this kind of people will go windfall in the future. However, the ancients said: the body is prosperous and helpless. It means that anything that is too tough will not be too good, which is probably the conclusion that Taoism must be opposed.
In fact, none of them noticed that when the fat man was scolding, there was a little girl hiding in the corner and shivering, as if she was very afraid of the fat man
Just as the fat man jumped into the water with a thud, a little boy came out of the water with lightning speed, and scurried under Zha Bin's nose with a slick of smoke.
This time, both of them saw it really but deliberately pretended not to see anything, and Zha Bin wanted to see what these two little things kept appearing for
The little boy was dressed in a green dress, with two pigtails on his head, and his whole body was snow-white, and the flesh on his arms was like lotus roots. The little boy squatted on the ground and touched the little girl's face, the little girl was too scared to leave, the little boy pointed to the pool, and the little girl was even more frightened and leaned back.
The two of them probably didn't expect anyone to be able to see them, and Zha Bin couldn't help but smile when he saw the cute appearance of the two children, and the movement really disturbed them. Seeing that the situation was not good, the little boy pulled up the little girl and was about to drill into the hole behind, but a golden light hit, and the two children immediately fell backwards, and it turned out that Zha Bin had already put a talisman in front of the hole. By the time they wanted to run, Cha Bin had already thrown off the Taoist robe he was wearing, and the huge gossip map was like Mount Tai pressing towards the two children, and before they could react, they all covered it down.
This trick was given to him by Ma Sufeng, and when it was really too late for a Taoist priest to encounter dirty things, he took off his clothes and covered them, although it was not as good as the Tianluo Formation, but the general dirty things would not even have room to parry, especially his Taoist robe that had been passed down for many generations.
An arrow shot over, Cha Bin grabbed the four corners of the robe and pulled it up, and then quickly tied a knot, and the two children had no place to run again.
Cha Bin actually doesn't seem to be branching out of Maoshan at all, if they take this child, they must be direct, Cha Bin caught these two purely because he thinks they are cute. The little boy still wanted to run, but a red thread had been tied to his calf, and the end of the line was on Zha Bin's mobile phone.
