19. Playing with life
I am surrounded by the branches of some camphor trees, this kind of old trees that have lived for hundreds of years, the higher they go, the more vigorous they are, the main trunk below may seem to you to be old and yellow, but above it is a different scene, and I fully realize this now, they are already the highest existence here, its branches can even caress the tops of some dwarf trees, and finally grow over them to the other direction, this is the jungle, the kingdom of trees, a kind of grandeur that you may not experience in your life, It is comparable to the grassland sea.
But now in my eyes, everything here exists for only one reason, and that is for my survival. There were many places where the branches of the trees were entwined around everything, forming a cushion hanging in mid-air, and I don't know if such things were secure, but I had to jump from here to another tree, or I would have been caught by the green snake.
The leaves are already ringing in the salsa as if they are for me, but they are like lamentations of remembrance, nature is greeting me with its most fickle side, and suddenly the snake in my eyes is rushing up from below, its speed is very fast, everything before seems to be accumulating strength for this blow, I have thought about it thousands of times and I can't imagine that this snake has such a big explosive power, isn't it afraid of falling into the air and dying?
I watched it get closer and closer, bit it violently, jumped up and grabbed a branch, leaned my feet and leaned forward, swinging forward like a horizontal bar athlete, after all, I still didn't have the confidence to carry out the plan in my heart, it was a game of death after all. If this snake can't go up the tree and can only take off in the air, I can only try to distance myself from it.
I had already vetoed the climb before, and the mountain was about to get dark, and the wind was getting stronger, and there were no obstacles around, so it was blowing towards me, and sooner or later I would fall off the tree. So I had no choice but to dodge that thing sideways, if I couldn't? I kept saying to myself that I had to be ruthless, and I jumped when I jumped? Anyway, my life is meaningless.
Half a minute later, without the sound I had imagined, I hung my head and was surprised to find that the snake was curling around the tree, its tail no longer touching the ground, like a dragon wrapped between the pillars.
It squirmed little by little towards the tree, the lines were particularly conspicuous on the branches, layer by layer, I don't know if it was slow on the tree or if it could enjoy the fun of the prey's desperate situation, its speed was very slow, the snake hyacinth it spit out was almost touching me, I hung on the tree pole, I could no longer climb forward, the tree pole was getting thinner and thinner enough to bear my weight. I turned my head, and the mouth that shot was already close to me, and my whole body began to fight incessantly.
The next second, I heard a hissing sound from the snake's throat, I had never heard this sound up close, like a dumb person, trying to roar with all the strength of his body, the kind of momentum that made me close my eyes and jump forward with both hands.
"Damn, fight."
Despair can often make people have great courage, because you have no worries, no thoughts, like a zombie, so what else can you not do? To put it bluntly, this is not a so-called courage, but on the contrary, a kind of ignorance.
The snake hovered as if floating in the air, its tail controlled its body strongly, and the moment I fell, I suddenly smelled a strong disgusting smell, and I skimmed my head in the wind and was surprised to see that the snake had reached out to me, it was too fast, and I was still in the air at this time, and I couldn't do anything to prevent it.
Regardless of anything, I grabbed all the branches and poles around me, and the whole person began to look like duckweed in the sea, shaking with the branches, but although it was good, it still fell, but it dodged the most fierce attack of the green snake, but my whole person fell on its snake head, so suddenly, the snake also panicked, and the huge body also swayed violently in the air, and I was thrown out suddenly.
This time I completely lost my center of gravity, first straight upward, but only 2 seconds I felt that my body began to come, head down, plus accelerated landing, all the blood in the body rushed towards the head together, and in an instant there was a feeling of being killed, and slowly all kinds of auditory hallucinations appeared in my ears.
"Boom", this snake crossed one tree and hit me another. At the same time, my whole body was entangled, imprisoning me to a tree, using a snake's favorite move since ancient times, slowly enjoying, bringing people the fear of death.
Unfortunately, I couldn't feel it, my mind went blank, and hallucinations slowly surfaced, feeling like I was flying, swimming, running, doing what I wanted to do in all the places I couldn't possibly reach.
Are you dying?
Little by little, the snake wrapped its upper body around the tree, and my blood began to flow from the seven orifices.
It was like the final verdict, I was crucified to a tree, blood spilling and slowly flowing downward, which represented the path to death.
"Ding", a voice sounded, like a long-awaited rain of smoke, scorching the sky and breaking through the clouds, landing on the earth, the sound clear and penetrating everything.
I struggled to open my eyes and look at the twisted head of the snake, which looked at me from above and below, like a traitor to a king against it, with a strong and unstoppable killing intent.
I didn't feel any more from under my waist, because it was already under the grip of the snake. I moved my fingers, and I found that the only place where I was entangled was my lower body, because the snake was spanning more than ten meters and "nailed" me to death here.
"But what's that sound?" I thought to myself, suddenly a thing slashed in front of me, it was a knife, the blade was like water, the clear light was reflected in my pupils like moonlight, I looked at it, and slashed in front of me, I was stunned, this is the knife that the third uncle gave me, is it?
"Pop" is like a long-lost reunion, although I am still in my thoughts, I still grasp it, the blade of the knife buzzes, like a dragon that has been imprisoned for a thousand years, baring its teeth and exploding.
A second ago, my mind was blank, and this blankness was infinitely magnified, and finally it settled down and swirled. Until my hand caught the knife.
Like a knife attached to a living dragon, the blade vibrates in the air like a pop.
The body trembled uncontrollably, gritting his teeth to adjust, tighten, stretch, and explode the remaining strength.
Twisting his body, all the roars were blocked in his throat, the snake's strength was tighter, and he didn't feel it at all, the only thing left was the sword like a trembling of the soul, the body of the knife buzzing.
"Ah" as if pouring all the strength of my body, I took the knife and plunged into the snake's skin, I roared, I was expecting to just slightly disturb the snake, but something unexpected happened, the knife went straight into the snake's skin, as my strength became more and more inside, the bright red blood slowly overflowed.
"Hiss" The snake began to feel this pain, it subconsciously let go of me, twisting its body, but I didn't stop, I held the knife with both hands, clutching it, and the moment the snake let go of me, I took the knife and fell down the snake's body, at the same time.
At the same time, the knife was like a broken blade, cutting through the snake's body as I fell.
I was stunned to see this kind of scene, I was holding a knife, and the snake blood splashed out and scattered like a column of water rushing to the sky, like blood flowers in the sky, and the manzhu sawa bloomed with a strange color.
I've realized that I'm some distance away from the trunk, and that below me is no longer a world of branches, and if I fall, I'm going to fall into a pulp.
So...... So...... I...... I clenched the knife tighter in my hand, and only then did I feel like I could survive.
The meaning of one life is the best interpretation of the death of another life.
