Chapter 292: Searching the Gulag
Or what kind of thing can make the prison guards in the Gulag never come back after leaving.
At the beginning of the period, Frankimir had thought that there could be some kind of violence here, and by all indications, it was entirely possible. For example, prisoners who were imprisoned broke out of prison, or other thugs came to rob the prison, 3266 held many Nazis, all of whom were extremely dangerous people.
Frankimir had sought out blood, or the signs of a fight, but in the room, at least, he had found nothing, no traces, and no sign of concealment or disguise.
This place is so peaceful, the reason for the prison guards to leave here should not be vicious violence.
So what could be the reason why they never came back?
As it stands, Frankimir is completely unable to make his own judgment, and he wants to find some clues from the shift records of his work notes that might have been recorded. However, after going through the shift records for several days, they were all miscellaneous and trivial, and I did not find any clues that could inspire Frankimir a little.
It seemed that there was no point in remaining in the guard room, and Frankimir had to go somewhere else to find the answers he wanted to figure out.
Before leaving the guard room, Frank Miir found two flashlights, already two small-caliber police pistols. He put the pistol in the pocket of his coat and walked out of the guard room with the flashlight he had just found.
At this time, Leo and the proprietress were standing outside the door, waiting for Frankimir, as if all this had nothing to do with them.
Frankimir tossed the flashlight to Leo and admonished them, "I think you'd better keep up with me, this place is a little too weird." Let's go inside now, so we'd better be careful, and if you follow my orders, you won't be in danger. ”
"It was the worst decision of my life." Leo said, fiddling with his flashlight.
"Let's go! Less nonsense. Frankimir pretended not to see them, and without hesitation, he walked towards the Gulag's barracks.
For some reason, Frankimir's fear of the darkness gradually turned into an inexplicable joy, and the more doubts ahead, the closer he was to the truth, and if everything went as he had imagined, then he would be here, finding the answers to everything, at least so far, all the unknowns and doubts, like a veil over the bride's head, waiting for him to unveil them.
When he unveils all this, he will also change from being a hunted prey to a hunter who conducts hunting operations, and then he will completely reverse the current mess.
The door of the barracks was open, and cold air continued to pour into the barracks. There is no breath of life in this place, and the endless darkness is creepy. Walking in the dark aisles of the barracks, the terrible thoughts that came out one after another surged in an instant.
The tension lingered, and there seemed to be a ghost hiding in the dark corner. The unattainable barracks brought Frank Mire a slim hope, but Leo and the hostess were infinitely afraid.
There was no heating in the barracks, and it seemed to be worse than the outside, and as they went deeper, the pungent smell of fishy urine and the stench of rotting corpses filled every corner of the Gulag.
The place is not like a labor camp at all, but more like a clumsy and dirty live poultry slaughterhouse.
The further I went, the stronger the disgusting smell became, and the more the deep chill became more and more unbearable, as if the entire backbone was frozen by the ice.
"Where are we going?" Leo felt like he was about to run out of urine in his pants.
"Go to the work area, I think it'll tell us the answer, right at the end of this walk."
A fork in the left side of the walk reveals a number of rooms lined up on either side, all of which are Gulag offices.
"Are you going to search them all?" Leo asked, shaking the flashlight in his hand.
"Yes, until we find out." Frankimir said bluntly.
"Oh my God! So many offices here! You don't have to exhaust yourself to death! Leo said dejectedly.
"Don't bother, we'll check them one by one now, and say that it won't take long, and there will be a harvest." Frank Mill said.
"Hey! How can there be a person like you, who made me look at the boss lady while asking me to search the Gulag, do you think I can do the doppelganger? I'm not Weidekin! Leo complained angrily.
Leo said that Weidkin, according to legend, was born in the world, the second Knight of the Apocalypse. He is said to have the superpower of "infinite imitation" and was an important figure in Nazi Germany during World War II.
Frankie Mill had heard a little about the legend of Weidkin, but he didn't listen to Leo's complaints, but just held back his eyes and began his search.
Leo didn't seem to intend to join Frank Miir in his search, and he, like the proprietress of the hostess, stood silently outside the door of the room with the same uneasiness as ever.
Naturally, Frankimir didn't bother to pay attention to these two people who would only help him, and soon an hour passed like this, and Frankimir only checked a dozen items in the office, and he looked through all kinds of materials piled up in different offices, but he still found nothing.
Leo and the proprietress seemed to have fully adapted to the rotting smell of the place in the darkness, but Frankimir still had no intention of giving up.
"Oh! If you think about it this way, when will it end! Are you really going to look for it like this? Leo's bitter melon face, which looks like he has played Russian roulette all day, but has not won a single game.
"We may find some useful clues in the warden's office, I think there's something in the place, it's the warden's office, after all." Frankimir said with a shrug.
"Are you sure? But where is the warden's office? Leo stared at Frankimir with suspicion, who seemed to him to be planning to make his home here.
"I'm pretty sure it will be so. If you can join the search, we might be able to leave sooner. Frankie Mill said.
Frank Mill's words seem to have had the effect of a catalyst of sorts. Anyway, Leo wanted to leave as soon as possible, this terrifying and oppressive, blood-clotting, scalp tingling gulag. This was his only option at this point, and it seemed that no one would want to leave the Gulag unless he helped Frankimir find his so-called answer.
For the proprietress of the house, it is not the case, after staying here for a long time, she has gradually adapted to the cold darkness, but she still feels palpitations, and she is looking forward to leaving this ghost place all the time.
Leo quickly joins the search, and if he continues to stand like this, there will still be no answer in the end, which will at least speed up Frankimir's progress and allow them to at least withdraw money and leave the Gulag.
An hour had passed, and they had found nothing, and it seemed that the warden's office was not far away. Leo had suggested that he would search the warden's office directly. Frankimir, however, insisted on such a gradual progression, one by one, in order to avoid as much as possible the danger that he called that could arise at any time. (To be continued.) )
