Chapter 10: The Temple and the Dream
Fan Li walked up to Brother Jiu and kicked his body, his head tilted, and a stream of black blood came out, and there was no possibility of survival after being hit like this. Two of his men were crippled, one screaming for his life, the other clutching his severed hand.
There was a heavy muffled thud from the door ahead, and a gust of wind blew through it, blowing the dust from the bottom of the gate into the air, and then it slowly opened in both directions. Jialan pulled out her bow and arrows, Kai crossbow pulled out her axe, and Fan Li pulled out the pistol on Jiuge's waist. I've seen too many terrifying things before, and Fan Li really didn't dare to guess what dangerous things would appear this time, so he could only improvise.
I saw two strange statues in the shape of a mermaid appear behind the gate. On the left is a fat head with a round head, and the two eyes look like marks that have been inserted with a pencil, but they are just two small round holes. It has a pair of large fleshy wings that are split into three whiskers at the end, and holds a handful of almost six meters long. In fact, this weapon is said to be an axe, but the handle is too long, and it is said to be a Yue, and the blade is wide, and it does not look like a Yue among the unearthed weapons. On its belly was tied with two iron chains a bronze chest armor, engraved with a flame-like pattern, recalling the flame-like hieroglyphs he had seen in the temple before, this bronze armor was set on the stone carving, like a giant shield, and the only people who could afford such a shield were probably those muscular men or boxers in WWE. Looking down, Fan Li found that it had no legs, only a slender tail with a bronze ring, on which several copper thorns bloomed from all directions, like a meteor hammer.
The one on the right is much thinner than the one on the left, its head is pointed, and it is completely like a shark that can walk on the ground, but the mouth of the blood basin is covered with bronze braces, which is extremely sharp. It protrudes three whiskers like wings, and holds a giant scythe that staggers with a long scythe, making it rightfully the gatekeeper. The pointed shark was clad in shiny gold armor and carried two cylindrical objects on its back, resembling two giant cannons.
Fan Li walked inside past the corpse of Brother Jiu, completely ignoring the feelings of others, he seemed to be obsessed, and he couldn't even hear the warning sounds of Jialan and Xiao Xiao, until he felt something pulling his arm, only to find that Jialan had rushed to his side, holding his elbow deadly.
"What are you doing?" Jialan roared.
"I don't know, I just feel like there's something talking to me." Fan Li looked at Jialan blankly. At this moment, accompanied by the exclamations of Xiao Yun, Xiao Xiao and Kai Crossbow behind him, a thick red smoke blew from between the two statues, Jialan tried her best to pull Fan Li back, but Fan Li's front foot just left the ground, and the red smoke was like glue firmly holding Fan Li's feet, and gradually spread all over his body. Jialan didn't give up, threw away the bow and arrow with her other hand, and tore Fan Li's body desperately with both hands, and leaned around, hoping to pull Fan Li's back through the weight of her body, but when the red smoke floated through Fan's body to Jialan's hand, she suddenly felt a pain like an electric shock, and involuntarily let go of Fan's body, and the whole person fell into the arms of Xiao Yun, who had just rushed up.
"Fan Li!" Jialan screamed and looked at Fan Li, who was dragged into the gate by the red smoke, and Fan Lixi wanted to open his mouth to shout, but he couldn't make any sound. After he was completely dragged into the gate, the gate closed at an extremely fast speed, and the sound of the two boulders crashing was deafening, and the air flow brought up blew Xiao Yun, Xiao Xiao, Jia Lan, and Kai Crossbow to the ground.
Fan Li's consciousness had been regained by Jialan before he was dragged into the gate, and he struggled desperately, only to feel the red smoke like a piercing light, burrowing through his mouth, ears and nose, he didn't have any pain, only felt that he was being pulled alive in front of something.
The red smoke suddenly dissipated, and Fan Li screamed in fright at what he saw. He was lying on his stomach in front of a corpse with a shattered skull and a broken body, which was still covered with black rags, and only some dry skin and charred black were left on the bones. Fan quickly got up from the ground, and found that there were three corpses on the floor in front of him, but they were all intact, only with some kind of familiar charred black. Fan Li suddenly thought of the charred black skeleton in the coffin he had seen before, and wondered if that guy was really resurrected, or if it was a trick used by the ancients to frighten people.
The two trembling legs finally supported the equally trembling body, and the object in front of him made Fan Li feel creepy...... I saw that on the stone platform in front of me was a thing that Fan Lixi wanted to see in his life but was afraid to see all the time - a stone dagger.
Could this be the place where Grandpa once visited? Fan Li turned his head to look at a few corpses, and now there are four corpses, but grandpa clearly said that there were six people who walked in here back then, which one belonged to his father, or said that his father did not die, and escaped with his grandfather and lived a reclusive life?
Puzzled, Fan Li turned his gaze from the corpse to the stone dagger, and walked over step by step, when a dull sound suddenly sounded in his ears, coming from outside the stone gate.
"Jialan? Xiao Yun? Fan ran to the stone gate, passed between the sickle and the axe, and knocked a few times, but heard not their voices, but heard a familiar noise, which was the roar of flames, but how could flames come out of here for no reason?
Fan Li couldn't help but think of the countless flames in the Flame Temple that could be burned without lamp oil, and the flames in that temple were the only ones that were on the verge of fire.
After a commotion, there was silence outside, where he could not see, hear, or ...... Wait, Fan Li suddenly thought of something, how did he see the corpse and the stone dagger when he didn't have a flashlight. He followed the light towards the ceiling, and saw several blue glows neatly arranged around him, and in the distance, those glows were supported by some kind of stone slab, nailed to the wall, two meters away from him.
Fan Li walked up to the dagger and picked it up. This dagger is really well made, and every carved pattern is filled with golden liquid, shining, like gold but not like gold, maybe it is a problem with the light. He turned the dagger, and suddenly a blue glow came out of the dagger, touched the back of his hand and disappeared, and he threw the dagger away in a hurry, and the dagger fell to the ground and fell into two pieces.
Fan looked at the back of his hand, there were no burn marks on the back of his hand, and he didn't feel pain. He crouched down and looked at the dagger, the golden glow of the carvings fading, as if he had accomplished some kind of mission. Fan Li sighed, stood up and looked at the corpses, their belongings had disappeared, and only one corpse remained, even if his father was really among them, it was difficult to recognize.
Let's find a mechanism to find out, this is a temple, it is impossible to just enter and not exit, there must be some secret passage or mechanism hidden in it. Fan Lifu began to look around, but he was stunned by the sight around him, no longer dead gray walls, no longer a few faint blue fires, no longer two funny statues, but ...... An open area, surrounded by countless large and small stone monuments, some of which have white flowers in front of them.
Oh no, it's a cemetery!
Fan Li looked down at the corpses, and found that there were no corpses, and there was someone's coffin under his feet, so he was so frightened that he withdrew to the side, hiding behind a stone tablet and looking at the surrounding scene. Twenty meters away, a red-haired woman in a T-shirt walked slowly towards the place, carrying a pickaxe and a shovel. Raising the pickaxe and aiming at a cemetery, she knocked it down, knocked it a few times and then used a shovel to shovel, about half an hour, she finally put down the shovel, and then looked at Fan Li.
Fan Lifu hurriedly hid behind the stone tablet and knelt on the ground with his legs. After a few seconds, he poked his head out and realized that the woman was standing in front of him, but with her back to him.
"Wow!" Fan Li was so frightened that he kicked the ground with his legs and squirmed towards the back, but his legs knelt for a long time, and he was so numb that he didn't feel it, and he stared at him a few times and barely moved a bit.
The woman didn't pay attention to him, didn't even seem to hear his voice. He saw her beautiful and smooth shawl hair, and thought to himself: I wonder what kind of horrible face she would look at when she turned around. Fan Li picked up the shovel on the ground and aimed it at the woman, and if she turned around and pounced, he would fight with her.
But the woman didn't turn around, but looked at something under the coffin in front of her.
"You are very smart, but your understanding is too poor this time, rest assured, their death knell has sounded, and those who persecuted you will pay a heavy price." She said in a deep voice, Fan Li only felt that the woman's voice was very familiar, but she couldn't tell who it was.
The woman suddenly raised her hands, holding the red fluttering thing in her hands, and then stabbed it into the coffin in front of her, Fan Li turned her head sideways, it turned out to be a blood-red sword, and a dazzling red light came out of the sword, making him almost blind, when the red light disappeared, the woman, the cemetery and the blood-red sword in front of him all disappeared, replaced by a ball of flames. Fan Lifu found himself standing on the hard mud ground, and his legs and feet were ready to be used at some point. He saw a man standing in the flames in front of him, who tilted his head to look at him, and then suddenly a bolt of lightning struck behind him, causing him to turn around.
Turning around, he saw a city of lightning and thunder, and on a certain building in the city, there were five figures, those five people were motionless and posing like models, surrounded by countless dead bodies and destroyed vehicles.
Fan Li just wanted to run, he took a step towards a crazy place, and a strong wind blew behind him, like two hands pushing his back forward, so that his legs could not keep up with the speed of his body, and a dog gnawed and fell to the ground. When he got up, the scene in front of him changed again, it was a ruin, and a group of people stood on top of the ruins. Fan Li looked at the group of people carefully, he couldn't see the facial details clearly, he could only see the bewitching figure and police hat, this should be a group of female policemen, but how could this group of female policemen stand here?
"Fan Li! Fan Li! There was a sudden sound overhead, and Fan Li only felt that it was dark in front of him, and when he opened his eyes again, he only saw everyone's worried looks. Seeing that she woke up, Jialan breathed a sigh of relief and sat aside. Xiao Yun helped Fan Li up, and he found that he was still in front of the gate, which was closed, next to the Ninth Brother, who had been killed by the collision, and his screaming companions.
"What's going on?" Fan Lifu touched his head.
"Brother Jiu just ventured to touch the mechanism above, but he was bounced to the wall by this force, and he was no longer saved." Kai explained.
"What about me?" Fan Li thought of the series of scenes just now, could it be that they had found some way to save him from the temple?
"You? You lost consciousness after being shaken back by that force, fifteen minutes ago. Kai replied continuously.
"What!" Fan Li stood up in surprise, could it be that everything he had just experienced was an illusion? Fan Li looked down at the back of his hand, and a scar appeared where the blue flame had burned, like a blooming rose.
