This summer I went to visit my aunt's family who immigrated to Scotland, and when I talked about Scotland, everyone's first impression must be bagpipes, men in skirts, but here I learned that bagpipes don't blow every day, and men don't wear skirts every day. Usually weddings or other formal occasions will wear kilts, usually whatever it should be.

When I arrived, just in time for my cousin's summer vacation, he took me to play wildly, went to the beach to wash the waves a few times, watched a few football games, and attended an authentic Scottish wedding, which was similar to the customs of some of the old parts of our country, where the bride sewed her hair into the frills of her wedding dress in prayer for good luck, and dripped blood on the inner seam of her dress. The bride is not allowed to wear a very ornate or complicated dress before the wedding, and in order to adapt to this custom, some of the ruffles of the wedding dress will not be sewn until the last minute. When the bride leaves the house for the last time as a single girl, she should step out of the house with her right foot first, so that it is more auspicious.

What's even more interesting is the bride's farewell bachelorette party, which is also held on the eve of the wedding. The bride is often dressed up in balloons and streamers by her friends and covered in powder and soot and paraded through the streets for a week. The procession is often accompanied by the sound of tinkling iron pots, pots, bells and whistles, as well as the sound of evil spirits.

Crazy play for half a month, my cousin is going to a trading company for an internship, leaving me alone to accompany my aunt every day, and I feel bored, I have a tourist visa, and there is still half a month to expire, my aunt also saw that I was very boring, and changed tricks to introduce some local attractions.

On this day, my aunt came back from outside, handed me a beautifully made leaflet, and asked with a smile: "After so many days, you haven't visited the castles in Scotland, have you?" "I took the flyer, and it was printed with an ancient castle on a small island, which didn't look too big, but it was beautiful, typical of Europe.

My aunt has loved me since I was a child, knowing that I was bored in the past two days, and suggested that I go out for a walk, I agreed, and I didn't take it to heart, and drove a second-hand off-road car bought by my cousin early the next morning, and went straight to the castle that my aunt introduced to me, in fact, I was also very curious, I used to only see the ancient castles in Europe in movies and TV, and now I can see the true face of the castle with my own eyes, and I am also a little excited.

Scotland has long been known as the "Land of Old Castles". The number of castles is innumerable, with 1,185 of them going down in history alone. Many of them have become historical places. Historically, the princes and nobles of Scotland built forts and palaces to protect their interests. The castles of each era have different shapes, among which the "L" shape, "E" shape and "Z" shape are the most common, and their architectural art tends to be the top of the superb skill, and the interior decoration is luxurious, harmonious and solemn and elegant. And the furniture of various styles is antique and exquisite.

The castle I'm going to go to may be because of its remote location, not very famous, of course, this remoteness has been a bit beyond my imagination, it is said that there are tourists who can walk here from the neighborhood, anyway, it is the kind of people around, there are no houses only grass. Originally, I thought it was about the same as Windsor Castle and it was in a small town or something, but I didn't expect it to be this kind of environment that looks a bit desolate.

The name of the castle has some Chinese flavor, called Qilin Castle, I drove for half an hour, I saw the castle, I saw that the castle was built on a small island in the lake, a stone bridge across the lake connects the castle and the land, the peaceful lake and the ancient castle constitute a picturesque beauty.

At the entrance I met the very enthusiastic owner of the castle, William, who was a slightly fat middle-aged Scottish man, and felt that he was very happy to see people visiting his castle early in the morning, especially when he saw that I was a Chinese, he seemed a little excited, and he didn't know if he was telling the truth, or if he was close to me, he said that his ancestors came to Scotland in the sixteenth century and settled here, and his ancestors were mysterious Oriental Chinese.

I took a closer look at this fat old man, in addition to his hair is black, there is no trace of oriental genes, old William is the owner of this castle, inheriting the shadow of his ancestors, and he does not go to work, just buy some tickets for the castle, receive tourists, some people want to experience the life of the castle, but also provide accommodation, just rely on this to make money, although the castle is very remote, the business is not too good, but it is enough to live, and it is said that the child lives leisurely.

Today's weather is not very good, except for me such an idle person, I haven't seen a tourist, the old William enthusiastically personally became my tour guide, as soon as I entered the castle, I kind of believe what he said, the outside of the castle is indeed European, but some of the buildings inside are obviously with the style of Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, the location of the main fort is sitting in the north and facing south.

It is a Chinese tradition for houses to sit north and face south, and it is also one of the architectural principles of traditional feng shui theory. Yi Zhanxue said that the south side is lush with vegetation and abundant yang energy, and facing south and being the king is the supreme position.

The ancients believed that the north is yin and the south is yang, and where feng shui is good, yin and yang should be harmonized. As early as the primitive society, the Chinese ancestors built village houses in the direction of sitting north and facing south. In foreign countries, there are not so many particulars, and there are houses in that direction.

The area of the castle is very large, I believe that it must cost a lot to maintain such an ancient castle, many places in it are a little dilapidated, but it is very clean, it can be seen that old William has put a lot of thought into this castle. Old William told me that there used to be a sinister witch living on this island, and that it was his ancestors who came from the far east to eradicate the witch and make him an earl. Some ghosts can still be seen in the castle today......

Old William said that there is a serious matter, but I don't say it, what ghost castle or the like, it's just some gimmicks, I can understand, but when old William said that every year there will be a ghost festival here, and wizards and goddesses from all over the world will gather here to exchange psychic experiences. Halloween often has some supernatural phenomena that cannot be explained by science. I just had to roll my eyes.

But when I visited the cemetery behind the old William's castle, where the owners of the castle were buried, I found an extremely incredible thing, you know, some family castles abroad have cemeteries where ancestors are buried, and some foreign cemeteries will have crosses on them, and the tombstones are engraved with names, but on the last huge stone tablet behind the castle, I actually saw nine red traditional Chinese characters.

Taishang Laojun is as anxious as a law!

I hurriedly asked Old William what was the matter, and Old William kindly kept me in the castle as a guest, and promised me that he would take me to visit the secret room left by his ancestors in the evening.

I called my aunt and told her that I was going to stay in the castle for one night, and my aunt was very happy to see that I was interested in the castle, and I waited for it to get dark as if I was tormented when I put down the phone, and at the same time wondered about the stone tablet. But when you think about it, it's absolutely impossible. First of all, there are still many tourists here, Chinese can rarely come to such a remote place, and this is not a famous castle, and the stone monument looks like it has gone through vicissitudes at a glance, and it will definitely not have that effect without hundreds of years.

But who was the first owner of this castle? Why are Taoist mantras engraved on stone tablets? If he was really an ancient Chinese, why did he come to Scotland?

At last William sent off all the guests, closed the castle, and invited me to a rather sumptuous Scottish meal, and led me to a room in the easternmost part of the castle, the door of which was locked and covered with dust, and it seemed that no one had come in for a long time. Being here, time is rewind to a distant time in an instant.

Above the incense case hangs a portrait of a person, a middle-aged man, dressed in ancient costume, smiling, carrying a long sword, it turned out to be an ink figure, a lifelike portrait, as if he could come out of the painting as long as he dusted off.

Old William invited me to sit down, and then took out a few very thick old books from the safe in the house, and told me that no one in their family had read these books for many years, and that no one knew about the deeds left by their ancestors, and that if I could understand them, I hoped I could tell them to him.

The book is divided into five volumes, very thick, due to the age, the pages have been yellowed, but the preservation is still very intact, I carefully turned the pages, inside are lines of vertical traditional characters, and then I knew that the real name of this castle is Qilin Castle, and the owner of the construction of this castle is called Lin Qi.

From this, I saw a magnificent history, a legend that was strange and bizarre to the extreme.
