34. Tomb murals

What's going on? Gasping for breath, I leaned against the wall of the entrance to the burial chamber, and I couldn't pull my legs. This tomb is only a few dozen square meters in size, there is nothing else to grow, and there is no coffin and corpse to be found, compared to all the ancient tombs, there is not even the slightest horror of the place, and there is no strangeness brought by entering the special space, but it makes me feel a sense of claustrophobia in the depths of the soul, from the body to the soul as if imprisoned and there is nowhere to escape.

I sat down slowly along the wall, giving myself a buffer time to get used to the environment, and my mind gradually began to clear, except for the most common murals in the ancient tombs, it was empty, according to Yu Xuan, I would "die in the building", if the following reasoning was not a problem, I would eventually fall into some invisible trap tunnel.

Since fate cannot be escaped, then death must also be understood. I staggered to my feet, lifted my feet and landed very lightly as I approached the coffin bed in the middle.

The stone coffin bed that was originally used to place the coffin was unusually simple, but a number of flat stones were neatly put together, and it was laid on the ground to be more than ten centimeters high, without any decoration, and only played the role of a cushion. I mustered up the courage to lean down and touch it gently, and there was a hard, cold and familiar touch on my hand, which was indeed an ordinary stone slab.

Then I examined almost inch by inch, especially the joints between the stone slabs, until I stood in the middle of the coffin bed after ten minutes without any results. Every part of the coffin bed was solid and not fancy, and I didn't see anything unusual in it, and I became more and more suspicious, and wiped the cold sweat from the nervousness on my face with my sleeve, and looked up at the top of the burial chamber.

This burial chamber is not high, the highest part of the vault in the middle, I can touch it with the tip of my arm stretched out, but no matter how I think about it, I can't find anything strange about those gray tomb bricks, and an indescribable alternative fear slowly wells up in my heart - this tomb is equivalent to the bottom of the way from the "corpse building", and the danger is obviously close to the left, but I can't detect it in advance.

I would rather strangle myself than feel this incomprehensible horror, and I shuddered and felt a cigarette and lit it, and I looked at the colorful murals that circled the tomb. The first thing I noticed was not the content of the mural, the first reaction of my mind was still whether there was a secret door or not, so I settled down and walked back to the entrance and started to look at it from the left-hand side. What I didn't expect was that when I looked at the mottled mural, it was the content that attracted me.

Although some pieces of the frescoes are falling off, the lines of the murals are still basically clear, and the colors filled in are full of oldness, and it is not easy to preserve this kind of process for more than a thousand years.

This is actually a good thing for me, only simple I can understand, if the ordinary tomb murals involve a wide range of knowledge of those funeral cultural themes, I am not Lao Wu, most of them can't decipher what to tell, now see these joint murals in my opinion, but there is no obstacle to understanding, the most mediocre but realistic portrayal.

There are a lot of characters in the murals, I can't see the nose and eyes clearly, the first one I understand that it should be the excavation of this underground jade vein, the sweaty miners, the horizontal and vertical mining tunnels, according to Zhang Xuan's previous estimates, if this jade vein was depleted during the period of King Luodian, it was rebuilt into this peculiar mausoleum, then I am afraid that it has been mined for at least a hundred years in the early stage. The only scene that I couldn't imagine before was at the very bottom of this mural, where several people were moving something from the depths of the jade vein, and I squinted my eyes to see what seemed to be a coffin.

There is not much to ponder, I turned to the second one, at a glance I suddenly understood that it was the restoration of the scene of the continuation of the life of the star, there were countless lights on the ground, and a vague figure in the middle should be the king of Luo Dian, kneeling around full of people, a grand ritual was simply solidified into a rather dynamic picture.

The third is the bloody tower of ten thousand corpses, I made enough mental preparations in advance or some scalp tightness, a lot of red is used in the picture, although the color is old and still feels dazzling, the facial expressions of the martyrs are distorted and look hideous, this mural reflecting the martyrdom of the tower of ten thousand corpses is very large, and the bloody corpse heads everywhere make people extremely uncomfortable, I quickly skipped it after a few glances.

It's like a sudden switch of movie shots, and then there's a circular tomb, but the only thing that's very different from now is that there's a coffin on the coffin seat in the middle, I don't know if it's the one that moved up from the depths of the jade vein at the beginning, the observation angle of this picture is pushed very close, look at the table on the painting, the coffin seems to be a transparent crystal coffin or something, you can clearly see the person lying inside through the coffin lid, I don't feel secretly wondering, did anyone ever come to this tomb, Removed this transparent coffin containing King Luodian, so now this is an empty burial chamber?

With a sweep of my eyes, there were only two murals on the wall that were far apart, and I took a few steps to stand in front of the next one.

My heart beat faster, and the background of this mural was the same circular burial chamber as before, but the lid of the crystal coffin had been fully opened, and a figure in the coffin was sitting in the center with his back to the picture. Is this the resurrection of King Luo Dian from the dead? Real reincarnation? I gently patted my drowsy and swollen head with my hand to sober myself up, and kept telling myself that it was impossible, maybe this mural would have some other meaning.

The next mural was separated from the current one, and there was a large wall with nothing in between, and I thought to myself that the ancient tomb mural also had a blank space, so I quickly skipped it and walked to the last one.

The painting had nothing but a complete portrait, the portrait was not large, I was a half-pulled nearsighted person without glasses, and I slowly approached suspiciously, rubbed my eyes, and finally barely saw the face of the portrait.

Isn't that right? The man's face, and his expression...... How does it look like ...... Me in the mirror?

That person turned out to be me!

My brain seemed to have been hit hard by a heavy hammer, and I took two steps backwards with a black leg and foot in front of me, and the strength of my whole body was only enough to support myself to stand without falling, and the horror in my heart was indescribable.
