Chapter 249: Perfect World

I remember a story about Shangri-La in a book: about 60 years ago, a couple of Englishmen came to a strange place because of an accident. This strange place is the Tibet region of China.

It is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and there is a large canyon in the middle of the snow-capped mountains. Legend has it that there are gold mines at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. In this seemingly isolated place, the Englishmen were received superbly. Here, as if time seems to have lost its meaning, they feel that they are at the mysterious heart of Oriental culture.

As they learned, they discovered that time had indeed lost its meaning here. The people here are also amazingly long-lived. Here, there are also many religions that coexist.

In a lamastic monastery, they met the local spiritual leader, a living Buddha.

Under the influence of this mysterious living Buddha, some of them were impressed by the mysterious culture of the East. They felt that the world had opened up an amazing and awe-inspiring side to them.

In the canyon, people live freely, quietly enjoying the sunshine and the rewards of the snow-capped mountains, but disdain the gold of the canyon.

The monastery leads the entire valley, forming the Shangri-La society. Shangri-La is inhabited by predominantly Tibetan residents with different beliefs and customs: Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and other sects. But unity and friendship with each other, living in harmony, happiness and well-being, a qiē is so harmonious and beautiful.

In all areas of Shangri-La, the virtues of 'moderation' are observed in the relations of all denominations, nationalities, people, and nature. They believe that there are three states of human behavior: excessive, inadequate, and moderate. Excess and inadequacy are both sinful, and only moderation is the most perfect.

In this way, Shangri-La has formed a perfect world of multi-ethnicity, multi-religion, multi-culture, multi-climate and multi-geographical compatibility.

Since then, the term "Shangri-La" has become a symbol of eternity, peace and tranquility.

There's also a dramatic business legend about Shangri-La:

Then. There is a best-selling book about Shangri-La, "Lost Horizon", which is selling well. Later, Hollywood studios bought the rights to bring "Lost Horizon" to the screen. Unexpectedly, the movie immediately became popular all over the world. The term 'Shangri-La' is better known.

The theme song of the movie "This Beautiful Shangri-La" was soon sung all over the world. Shangri-La is a symbol of 'paradise'. It has become an ideal situation for people to pursue.

Later, the term "Shangri-La" was bought out by the Kwok family, a Hong Kong entrepreneur, and became the business name of the hotel. And then swept the world and became one of the highest symbols of the world's hotel brands, which is known as Shangri-La Hotel.

The success of the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts brand is a testament to the great significance of Lost Horizon in the humanities. "Lost Horizon" has become the "Peach Blossom Spring" for Westerners, and its significance lies in implanting the artistic conception of a paradise on earth for Western cultural values. Since then, this imaginary paradise on earth. It has become synonymous with 'Eden', 'paradise', and 'utopia'.

"Shangri-La", linguistically speaking, is Tibetan, which means 'the sun and moon in the heart'. In fact, the literal translation is what people often call "perfect world".

In Tibetan Buddhism, there is also a description of Shangri-La: the flowers are always blooming, the water is always clear, the crops are always waiting to be harvested, and the sweet fruit is always hanging on the branches; The land is full of gold, and the mountains are full of precious stones. Picking up a piece at random is precious.

Of course, there is no money here. Because money is useless. People here use their minds to dominate the outside world: when they feel cold, their clothes will automatically thicken, and when they are hot, they will naturally thinn; Whatever you want to eat, the food will fly in front of you. When you are full, the food will automatically leave.

Legend has it that the lifespan of Shangri-La people is measured in millennia. They can live as long as they want. Only when you are tired of living, feel the pain of longevity, and want to taste the taste of death, will you die quietly......

In addition, Tibet is known as the "Pure Land of Guanyin" and "the Heavenly Kingdom of the Buddha". Tibetans living in snowy plateaus. Most of them believe in Buddhism. In the face of the harsh nature and the heavy burden of life, it is natural to think of looking for spiritual comfort beyond material things.

They believe that reality is a sea of suffering, and they will be tormented by birth, old age, sickness and death. Due to various karma, oneself will go back and forth endlessly in the six realms of reincarnation; In order to get rid of the sea of suffering, one must cut off samsaric karma, take refuge in the Dharma, and attain the six guò realms: generosity, vows, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom.

Only in this way can we get out of the sea of suffering and reach the other shore. Shangri-La is the paradise they dream of, the ideal perfect world.

Of course, human beings can only forge ahead if they have faith and pursuit. Only with supernatural beliefs and supernatural beliefs can we reproduce and survive from generation to generation on the vast land of the roof of the world.

From the day it was formed, the Tibetan nation was destined to become the proud son of the snowy mountains and rivers and the master of the roof of the world. Because there is "Shangri-La" waiting for them!

I believe many people have heard of "Shangri-La", also called "Shambhala". But what exactly is Shambhala? In layman's terms, Shambhala is a fashionable legend. But this legend has its origins, and in Tibetan Buddhism, the belief in Shambhala is an important religious core, and it is the political guidance of Tibetan Buddhism to rule the world.

For hundreds of years, Shangri-La seekers have treated almost everything between Kashmir and the Arctic as if it were a hidden, perfect world. But the most eyes are still pointed here. Some lamas said that Shangri-La is still there, but there is a layer of magic that is invisible to outsiders.

I don't know if it's a coincidence, or if it's a blessing in three lives, a few of us can witness the "true face of Lushan" in this perfect world, and we can be regarded as worthwhile.

However, the Shangri-La in front of you is not the same as the legend.

Legend has it that Shangri-La's geography is like a mandala. It is in the shape of a wheel or a lotus flower with eight petals. Each lobe is an administrative district governed by a governor, each of which has 120 million villages, and the edge of Shambhala is an impassable snow-capped mountain.

However, the Shangri-La in front of us is like a fairyland, boundless, and even invisible.

I even suspect that perhaps this is our fate: we are destined to not reach it, and there is an impassable abyss between our cave and there. Even if it's a helicopter, it's estimated that it's enough to get there. So, we can only wait and see from afar.

Perhaps, it is a mysterious existence in the world, and it may be a mirage. But what it really is, we simply can't verify.

So I said to everyone, "Let's go, no matter how good this place is, it won't be our final destination." Life goes on, we still have to go where we need to go! This perfect world is not our world after all. ”

With that, I turned around and walked away...... (To be continued......)
