Chapter 290: Besieged
The torch on the AK47's bayonet was dripping with oil, and it suddenly stabbed at something as black as a carpet and black oil.
It is afraid of high temperatures. Before the flames could touch it, the thing suddenly stopped wriggling forward, like a frightened snake raising its head and arching back in a very elastic manner.
But this thing is so different from a snake, it is not a snake head that arches it, but a piece in front of it, and under the firelight it is like a wall of strange shapes suddenly erected.
Apparently it was frightened by the heat of the torches, but the wall rose high and became condescending to me in the blink of an eye.
The wall unrealistically creeped or shook slightly, and I was stunned by the sudden change. The side it faces me is the same color as the rock on the ground, it's grayish-brown, it's also rough, and if you suddenly see it, you'd mistake it for a wall. But I have a creepy feeling at the moment, and I think that this wall will fall on me in the next moment, and instantly annihilate me here.
I didn't give it time and a chance, the butt of the AK47 was still on my stomach, I didn't dare to waste time, and the muzzle of the gun was raised and the trigger was pulled.
'Da Da Da Da'
The AK47's bullets first scattered the fish oil torches on the bayonets, and in the scattered flames, the bullets shot out in dense numbers with the translational muzzle.
With the sound of gunfire and flying flames, the towering wall fell backwards like a directional blast. The flames splashed on it, like falling into the snow, and instantly dissolved a hole. And this thing is helpless against the flames, and instead of extinguishing the flames in this hole, they quickly burn out larger holes, and seem to have a tendency to melt them away. I believe that if there is enough fire, it can indeed melt it all away.
Unfortunately, although the flames that were scattered were very spread, they burned the black things on the ground in front of them. But compared to this big guy who can't see the edge, this ignition is a drop in the bucket, and it doesn't really hit it hard.
Like a piece of living water, it quickly receded, and in the blink of an eye, it was free from the flames. The wall that had been knocked down by bullets, the black oily thing that had been burned by the flames. In the blink of an eye, it became new, as if it had not been knocked down or melted.
It was motionless on the other side of the flames, as if waiting for the flames to go out, confronting me across the flames. I quickly swapped out the empty magazine, and it took me to glance back at Jack.
But the sight made my heart almost jump out of my throat.
Jack has run some distance away, he didn't turn on the flashlight, it should be said that he doesn't have a flashlight, the flashlight is in the backpack, the backpack is all over me. However, this did not prevent him from escaping. Because his speed is not very fast after all, the light of the glow stick can completely solve the lighting problem.
There was nothing behind him to chase him. In this respect, my blocking mission was accomplished. But I'm in big trouble behind me.
As I said, this thing is all over the place, running after us in the back. After I was blocked at one point, the rest of the place was still moving forward and forming a siege around me. When I looked around, I was not done with me, but I could never have outrun it. Unless I can fly out, I'm going to be in it.
I really felt hopeless at this moment.
My fear of this thing stems from not knowing it. And it is covered with the shape of the ground uncertain characteristic, it is too big. It gave me the feeling that if I caught up with it, I would be overwhelmed. I don't know what its means of attack were, but I guess I'm going to die so badly that I don't even dare to think about it. So I decided in an instant that I would never let it catch it alive.
Jack also had a flare in his backpack, and I guess it was the only thing that could save my life. The backpack is already redundant for me, and anything that increases my resistance to escape is redundant. I quickly threw both backpacks on the ground. Dig out a flare from a backpack.
I glanced up at the other side of the fire. The black liquid creature glowed like crude oil in the firelight, rising slightly above the surface, like a layer of asphalt on the ground. If it were so still, it would hardly be considered a living thing, and it would look completely harmless to humans and animals.
But I knew it was the flames scattered on the ground that held it back. If it weren't for these fires, would it have swallowed me up or drowned me?
I picked up two backpacks and threw them across the flames, and the moment the backpacks flew over the flames, the calm black on the opposite side suddenly jumped up, like a jackal squatting for a long time.
I don't know how it knew or sensed the backpack I threw over, but I did throw it with the intention of testing it. I want to know why it tracks me and how it attacks me. Now, I see it.
Of course it didn't jump off the ground, but it doesn't feel the same to me now. In front of me, in the light of the fire and the electric light of the one-eyed beast's head, it was a black oily substance that could not see the edges. However, as the backpack flew past, it seemed to be one of the individuals who jumped out of the black oily substance.
The apparently self-contained entity, about the size of a sheet, lunged at the two backpacks, the lower part of which did not leave the ground, still connected to the black oily substance that had no end in sight. The moment it comes into contact with the backpack, the color of the backpack suddenly changes, from green camouflage to black.
My eyes were glued to the change in front of me, and of course I could see that the change in the color of the backpack was caused by the strange thing that instantly wrapped the two backs. At the same time, I knew immediately what would happen if I fell into it. It must be better to live than to die.
'Da da da'. A volley of bullets hit the backpack. The black color on the impact point quickly receded, revealing the original green color of the copper coin backpack and the bullet holes the size of a little finger. But in the blink of an eye, the bullet holes and green were filled with black, and the backpack fell to the ground.
I turned to look at Jack. I already know how this thing attacks, and if it catches up, it will be painful to die, but it won't be too long, and it will quickly suffocate to death. That's the only good news. I'm going to focus on taking it off, I don't want to die so aggrieved.
Maybe I was getting too much attention from it, and instead of chasing Jack, this thing completely surrounded me. The encirclement closed behind me and began to advance in reverse.
I grinned. Do you really look up to me, and engage in such a big battle because I have the halo of the protagonist on my head?
Behind him, a black oil strip more than ten meters wide has been connected, and there is a tendency to increase the width with me as the center. I can't let it surround me, flares have limited phosphorus fires and can't cover too much of an area.
I pulled the fuse of the flare and threw it high. The phosphorus fire of the flare instantly illuminated a large area and, of course, itself. (To be continued......)
