Chapter 144: Samadhi True Fire

The old ghost saw that it was not a female ghost at all, but an extremely realistic paper figure, and couldn't help but exclaim: "Damn, wasn't it still a living female ghost just now?" Why did you become a paper man at this point? ”

A few of us also think it's strange, what kind of weird thing is this? Coincidentally, they all set their eyes on the old man who walked towards us unhurriedly behind him.

When the old man saw us like this, he did not rush to answer, but approached us with a smile. When they were about to come to us, they said to us, "Come, borrow it, let me see, what is this sacred?" ”

When the old man saw a paper figure lying on the ground, he smiled with satisfaction and said, "It seems that my judgment is still very accurate!" ”

At this time, where could the anxious old ghost endure it, so he said directly to the old man: "Senior, what kind of immortal method do you use, let us see the horizon when you say it!" ”

"Hahahaha...... Interesting young man! The old ghost laughed and said, "I don't use any immortal method, but the Taoist method that is more common in your China." ”

"Daofa?" The old ghost and I asked at the same time.

The old man nodded and said, "Well, it is indeed the Dao Fa. ”

When the old ghost and I heard the old man say this, we hurriedly asked, "What kind of Taoism, tell me about it!" Let's also open our eyes. ”

The old man smiled at this time and said, "If you want to know what the Tao is, you must first know what is going on with this paper man!" Paper figurines are a technique that many wizards like to use in the past, because of its simple method and realistic effect, many people like to use this method of 'borrowing corpses to return souls'. ”

"Resurrection of a corpse?" The old ghost asked.

"Hmm." The old man said, "Resurrection through the dead: the original meaning is that something that has died has been resurrected in some form." Superstitious people believe that after death, the soul can be resurrected by attaching to the corpse of someone else. It is later used as a metaphor for things that have been extinguished or declined, and then reappear under another name or in another form.

According to legend, Tie Guan Li was originally named Li Xuan. once met Taishang Laojun and got the way.

Once, its soul left its body and wandered among the three mountains and five mountains.

Before leaving, he instructed his apprentice to take care of the body, but Li Xuan's soul wandered around and lingered. The apprentices have been waiting for a long time. Seeing that the master's body was always frozen there, and he could not survive, he mistakenly thought that he was dead, so he cremated him.

When Li Xuan returned, his body was gone, and his soul had no place to return. It happened that there was a starving beggar on the side of the road nearby, and the corpse was still fresh, so Li Xuan attached his soul to the beggar corpse in a hurry.

Li Xuan after borrowing the corpse to return the soul. and the original Li Xuan has been unrecognizable, unkempt, with an open belly and exposed chest, and a limp. In order to support his body and walk, Li Xuan sprayed a mouthful of fairy water on a bamboo pole used by the original beggar, and the bamboo pole immediately turned into an iron rod.

The story of Tie Guan Li borrowing the corpse to resurrect his soul. It can also be seen in the miscellaneous drama "Lu Dong Bindu Tie Guan Li Yue" written by Yue Bochuan in the Yuan Dynasty, and it is also recorded in the later "Journey to the East". It's just that the plot is different.

The superstitious folklore of resurrection of the dead was later referred to as the phenomenon of something that had already died being resurrected in some form.

Sometimes it can also be used as a metaphor for the phenomenon of something new or a new force seeking development with the help of an old thing or an old form.

In the above two cases, the meanings of the so-called 'corpse', 'soul', 'borrowing', and 'returning' are different. ”

Listening to the old man say this, we know the mystery of this.

The old man said, "The fire I just had just now is called 'Samadhi True Fire'!" ”

"Samadhi real fire? Red Boy? The old ghost's first reaction was to think of "Journey to the West". The bridge section of the Red Boy vs. the Monkey King. Then he asked the old man in surprise: "It turns out that in real life, there is really such fire?" ”

"It's not! But...... It's a little bit related. The old man hurriedly smiled and said, "However, fire is a kind of fire, and it is all samadhi true fire!"

The so-called 'samadhi true fire'. Words that appear frequently in classical Chinese literature and in Taoist culture. It is generally believed that 'the heart of the king' is also known as 'divine fire'. The kidney's 'Chenhuo', also known as 'Jinghuo', is called Zhongfu, and the bladder is the sea of qi under the umbilicus, and the 'Minhuo' is also called 'Xiafu'. This is the true fire of samadhi.

In the forty-first chapter of "Journey to the West", the red child also bleeds from his nose and spews out 'true samadhi fire', and in the fifty-fifth chapter of "Journey to the West", the samadhi fire of the scorpion essence spews out of his nose and smoke spews out of his mouth.

In the seventeenth chapter of "The Romance of the Gods", when Jiang Ziya burned the pipa essence, he introduced, "This fire is extraordinary fire, and it will erupt from the eyes, nose, and mouth, but it is the essence, qi, and spirit refined into samadhi." Raise and leave the essence, and become one with the mortal fire, how can this goblin withstand it! That's what we're talking about.

In another sense, the true fire of samadhi refers to the fire in the wood + the fire in the stone + the fire in the air. In other words, the upper is the king's fire, the middle is the minister's fire, and the lower is the people's fire.

To extinguish the true fire of Samadhi, you can only use real water, and the Qiankun Jade Dew can be extinguished; Or it can be submerged with the sea of the four seas. Legend has it that Guanyin's jade bottle is filled with this kind of water.

Samadhi, also translated as "samadhi". The Chinese paraphrase "正受" and "定" refers to a discrete and drowsy state of mind.

There are three kinds of fire in the human body: one is the fire of the gaze; Second, it is called the fire of thought; The third is called pneumatic fire. The ancients called it 'Samadhi True Fire'. When these three kinds of fires are combined, the mind is heavier and the gaze is not separated, which is called 'martial fire';

In Taoism, the true fire comes from the cultivation of Taoism's Inner Dan:

"Heaven and earth are the furnace, the sun and the moon are the water and fire, the yin and yang are the chemical machines, and the lead, mercury, silver, sand, and earth are the five elements." The temperament is the dragon and tiger, and the reading is the true seed. Take the heart refining thought as the fire, the rest of the thought as the fire, the light as the solidification, and the subjugation of the inner demon as the field. Body, mind and mind are the 'three wants'; heaven and heart are the entrance, and love is Dancheng". This is called the best way to prolong life, which can prove the immortal fruit.

The most upper-class "Tai Void is the Ding, Tai Chi is the furnace, Purity is the Danji, Wu Wei is the Dantian, life is lead and mercury, and Ding, Hui is water and fire." Suffocation and anger are the intercourse of water and fire, the unity of temperament is the combination of gold and wood, the washing of the heart is bathing, and the sincerity is determined to be solid. Precepts, concentration, and wisdom are the three essentials, the middle is the entrance, the clear heart is the fulfillment, the seeing nature is condensation, and the three-element mixing is the holy womb. The life is beaten together for Dancheng, and there is a body outside the body that is reborn, breaking the void in order to be". This is called 'the way of the high-grade heavenly immortals', and the achievements of cultivation can be 'wonderful in form and spirit, and true in harmony with the Tao'.

And that's what I'm using with this samadhi fire! (To be continued......)
