Chapter 9: The Temple

Following the sound, I hurriedly looked ahead without hesitation. Several times, I almost fell into this virtual and real tunnel. If you do fall into it, there will definitely be no ashes left.

With such a dangerous road, I don't know if Duoduo has a safe road, and I don't know what happened to Lisa and the old ghost. If there is a slight mistake, my life may be in danger at any time, and I really don't dare to think about it anymore.

As I had rushed forward a long distance, the miserable voice was gone. This time, I lost my goal all of a sudden, and I didn't know where to start. Just when I was about to lose hope, I saw the mark of Duoduo's painting again, which made me really relieved. It seems that Duoduo has arrived here.

At this time, I came to a majestic building. It looks like one of those extremely sacred palaces, which reminds me of the Acropolis that I saw in the materials before. This is not a ruling city in the center of the circle, but a ring city and a straight road intersection, like a transportation hub.

Judging by the surrounding structures, it should have been a transportation hub a long time ago, and it was a bayonet responsible for defense. If the guess is correct, it should be a temple-like place.

In the ancient Atlantean Empire, there was a clear hierarchy and a high level of security. Without special official documents, people from the periphery are not allowed to enter the city center casually. Only those who are dignitaries and dignitaries are allowed to enter and exit such places.

Standing in front of me the temple was tall and magnificent, and I immediately felt insignificant. In front of the temple there are huge statues of samurai standing straight with spears or broadswords. The form of the face seemed to be alive, majestic and inviolable. From a distance, it makes people feel imposing, and it also shows the authority of the city inside, which makes people feel sacrosanct.

The temple is not surrounded by solid walls, but is surrounded by ancient pillars. The columns appear tall and steady, with a regular roof above them. As I got closer and closer to these pillars, I felt that the ancients were truly worthy of being the most developed empire in ancient times. This kind of tall building, just the structural attainment of modern people is amazing, it is simply breathtaking.

When I got closer, I couldn't help but look up, and I was guilty of the "occupational disease" of studying too much history, which made it easy to verify time. On closer examination, the tall columns in front of us are of the Greek column type, and a little of them are of the Roman column type.

The Greek columns, mainly the Ionic columns formed in Asia Minor and the Doric columns formed in Greece, are the two most basic columns. They all evolved from wooden structures and reached maturity in the middle of the 5th century BC, producing representative works in Athens.

The main feature of the Ionic column type is that there are a pair of cartouches on the front and back of the column head, with a column base, consisting of discs, etc. The Doric column head is an inverted conical platform with no base. The Ionic column is like the feminine femininity, and the Doric column is like the masculine strength.

In the second half of the 5th century BC, the Corinthian column also appeared in Greece. Its stigma is ornately carved with hairy leaves, and the rest of it resembles an Ionic column.

As for the Roman column, the Romans inherited the Greek column, and adapted and developed it according to the new aesthetic requirements and technical conditions.

They perfected the Corinthian column and used it extensively for the construction of large-scale, richly decorated buildings, and created a hybrid column style with the addition of an Ionic capital, with a Corinthian capital, for even more ornate. They adapted the Greek Doric style and developed the Taskan style in reference to the Etruscan tradition.

There is little difference between the two types of columns, the former retains the Greek Doric style of the three-dragon plate in the eaves, while the latter has no grooves. The Ionic column type changed slightly, except that the base of the column was changed to a disc and a square plate.

Taskan, Doric, Ionian, Corinthian and hybrid, known by Renaissance architects as the five columns of Rome. The stylistic differences are much smaller than those of the Greek Ionic and Doric columns, and thus lose their distinctiveness. The Romans created a new combination of columns, the most important of which was the coupon column.

This puzzles me a bit: in historical order, Atlantis predates Greece and Rome. However, how can an architectural style have the latter style? Could it be that it is repaired by future generations?

Whether it was repaired by later generations or whether the ancestors already had this architectural style, I have no way of knowing. Only the ancient ancestors who lived at that time would know the real answer. I also put away my professional problem of studying history, quickly collected my mind, and continued to move forward. Time is of the essence, and this is not the time to scrutinize it.

If you usually travel to this place with a lot of money, you may also have to look at it more often, and even think about it carefully. I remember that when we were in school, we used to go out and visit some places of interest. However, there is one thing that can be a real headache: the two of us are often the first to arrive at a place of interest and stay for a day.

The reason, of course, is that she studied archaeology and I studied history, and the two of them often talked about the past and the present about famous places of interest. coincides again, and sometimes they are red because of differences. However, every time you see a wonderful place, you will scrutinize it. This scrutiny is a few hours.

And our plans to play are ruined, and we're often the last ones to come out. Being blasted out by the uncle and aunt who guard the monuments, that is a common thing! The tour that was originally planned in detail has invisibly changed its flavor and has become an archaeological special event. Sometimes, when we rise, we both have a good time on the spot.

But if we do this, we often stay in one place for a day, which invisibly slows down our travel plans. So, in the end, Duoduo and I decided: if we go out again, we will never go to places of interest!

Thinking of this, I can't help but wonder if Duoduo is committing another "occupational disease": is it being carefully studied and investigated somewhere? If I could, I'd rather that be the case. Thinking of this, I couldn't help but look at the dead and silent ancient city in front of me, and blew a whistle with my hand that I could understand.

After blowing, I listened quietly to see if there was any response coming from somewhere. But reality is reality, and there is no response at all, only the echo of the whistle.

I had no choice but to move forward with this sense of loss.

As soon as he moved, he caught a glimpse of the samurai stone sculpture at the door, which seemed to move.

That really scared me!

I hurriedly took a few steps back and looked closely at the two stone sculptures in front of me, thinking that they were my hallucinations. But at this moment, the stone carving on the right hand suddenly opened its eyes!
