Chapter Twenty-Eight: The Battle of the Trapped Beasts
In desperation, Dickens hurriedly pulled the spider silk stuck to his body. But after several pulls, the sturdy spider silk was not broken! Dickens increased the strength of his hand again, and the spider silk was as strong as a nylon rope. The flashlight hit the spider's buttocks, making it even more creepy.
Without much hesitation, Dickens swung the knife in his hand and slashed at the transparent and solid spider silk. waved his hand and slashed twice, and the spider silk "snapped" and broke off suddenly. Dickens lost traction in front of him, stumbled backwards, slipped on his feet, and fell face up on his back.
Dickens subconsciously turned on the flashlight and shone it towards the two strange insects. At this moment, the giant tarantula suddenly gave up its entanglement with the poisonous toad, and turned to Dickens. It's not terrible!
Dickens hadn't gotten up yet, but subconsciously stepped back. Seeing that tarantula coming violently, he was already close to himself. Hurriedly subconsciously used his hand to block his head as a fearless defense. Suddenly, the tarantula's body shook and turned to retreat backwards.
Without reacting to this for a moment, Dickens deflected the flashlight to see the situation clearly: it turned out that the poisonous toad spit out its long tongue and hooked the tarantula and dragged it back. Through the light of the flashlight, Dickens saw that the toad was covered in blood, presumably wounded by the tarantula's two large pincer-like fangs.
The tarantula was defenseless, and when he saw that he had lost his position, he struggled desperately forward. As if he was going to grab something, he quickly hooked the branches and leaves next to him with his claws.
Dickens suddenly got the courage to jump forward and cut the spider's leg with the knife in his hand. It's better to say it's a slash, but it's a smash. He first stabbed with the tip of his knife, and then smashed it with his arm. Suddenly, the tarantula's leg broke or slipped with a "crackle".
The tarantula lost its focus, and immediately "poofed" and was sucked by the giant toad. The giant toad opened its bloody jaws and took a bite of the tarantula in its mouth. Toads have no teeth and can only be swallowed alive. But the size of this tarantula is too big for this toad to swallow. In addition, the tarantula struggled desperately and rampaged, making a "clucking" sound, as if screaming.
Looking at the movement, the toad seemed to be unable to subdue the big tarantula at all.
"Smack!"
Just when the battle between the two giant insects was at a stalemate, a loud bang suddenly sounded. The giant spider was actually broken in two, and the "big belly" behind it was still in the toad's mouth. Due to inertia, the upper body and claws smashed towards Dickens.
Dickens was defenseless, and happened to be smashed squarely, and was knocked on his back. I only heard the "grunt", like a toad swallowing the tarantula's body into its stomach. Dickens's throat was sweet, and he suddenly felt difficult to breathe. It was as if he had been hit by a big rock in his chest, and his chest was tight. And the spider's body pressed against him, and he only felt that it was dark in front of him, and he fainted.
When he woke up, he found that the toad was gone. Only the upper body of the tarantula was still pressed against itself. With great effort, he finally pushed the remnants of the tarantula corpse off his body. Only then did he struggle to get up, feeling a little tired.
In the dark, the little flashlight was still glowing faintly, Dickens quickly picked it up and looked at it, but he didn't expect this gadget to be quite durable. I took a picture of the surroundings, and there was silence. Suddenly, I felt a slight coolness on my head, and when I touched it with my hand, it was blood! It is estimated that it is their own blood, because the blood of spiders is not so red. I must have been hit by the tarantula just now, and I opened my mouth.
When I looked up, I noticed a faint light on my head. I couldn't help but be shocked in my heart, afraid that it was some strange beast. He hurriedly turned off the flashlight and looked up, only to find that it was probably dawn.
Dickens had no time to estimate the minor injury, so he turned on his flashlight and shone it. Picking up the knife that had fallen on the ground, and the things he had picked up, he walked towards the spacious place. Strange to say, the surrounding environment resembles the jungle of a tropical rainforest, and the plants are unusually lush. I want to push away the vegetation overhead and let out the sunlight, but I can't reach it. Only with a flashlight, barely moving forward.
Suddenly, a black hole appeared in front of me. Dickens couldn't help but get nervous again, afraid of another accident. This qiē made Dickens feel like a trapped beast fighting.
Gripping the knife tightly, he boldly walked towards the black hole.
When I got to the front, I realized that it was a huge tree hole. Dickens couldn't help but marvel, what a tree this must be! Curiosity drove Dickens to the hollow of the tree to find out. But he did not forget his usual vigilance: he picked up the stick and knocked it into the hollow of the tree. The sound of "popping" echoed in the hollow of the tree. Dickens was not at ease, and shouted twice into the hollow of the tree.
There was no movement other than his own echo. Dickens was relieved, stood up with his knife, and moved to climb into the hollow of the tree. At the same time, vigilantly sweep around with a flashlight.
"Hiss~hiss~" There was a strange sound.
Dickens was an old sailor, and immediately understood that it was the sound of a serpent. He quickly turned off the flashlight, and the light was in the dark, but it was the snake's "favorite"! For the sake of prudence, Dickens froze and did not move any more. Because he only listened to his body, he did not see his "snake", so he could only wait quietly. The strap determines its position before it starts.
Before Dickens could think about it, he felt a chill coming from his neck!
Dickens was shocked, but not alarmed. I just clenched the knife in my hand and waited until the time was ripe to attack.
The slightest coolness slowly moved downstream. Wrap around Dickens's arm and move downward.
Dickens thought to himself that the beast must have seen the light just now, and went to his own hand. It was good that the serpent swam into Dickens's hand. He jerked the blade with his backhand, and heard the sound of the snake's body breaking. "Snapped" and fell to the ground.
Only then did he dare to turn on the flashlight to check whether the snake was dead or not?
Then the flashlight flashed, and I saw that it was a common spotted snake from the forest. This snake has a triangular head and is relatively toxic. If you let it take a bite, it will be a terrible thing. It had now been cut in two by Dickens, and remained motionless on the ground. Dickens took a foot to see if it was dead.
Unexpectedly, the upper half of the snake suddenly swooped down. He bit Dickens's hand and refused to let go. Dickens felt a heart-piercing pain in his fingers, and without thinking about it, he swung a knife and slashed down......
