090 Susan's Adventure

With Doom gone, Susan could finally breathe a sigh of relief, and the feeling of being alone with another person behind her nominal boyfriend made her feel extremely uncomfortable.

If she could, she would have turned herself invisible and found a chance to leave. But when she tried a few times, and now that her abilities still couldn't be restored, she turned back into the proud lady of high society, and tried to ask Eric to bring her clothes.

It's a pity that Eric doesn't plan to do that, if he wants, he can just take back the magnetic field to get Susan out of the predicament, but he hasn't appreciated the shy appearance of this invisible woman enough, how can he let her go lightly?

"I can't leave you here alone, what if someone breaks in, they'll show you." Eric said solemnly, now it was his turn to scare Susan, he wanted to teach this young lady a small lesson, lest she always use her abilities at will, and the next time she encounters danger, others may not be as kind as himself.

Although Susan didn't believe that anyone would be so boring, she couldn't force Eric, so she could only roll her eyes and ask the man she had been in close contact with just now how she wanted to solve it.

"I'll cover you, you're wearing my coat, and then we'll leave behind the pastry table, and now there's music playing outside, everyone should be dancing, they won't notice us, just go a dozen yards to get into the hallway, where very few people pass, and we'll go down the hallway to the women's lounge, and if there's no one there, you'll win."

Listening to Eric's words, Susan almost laughed angrily.

"You want me to go out like that? I can be invisible, but I'm not crazy. She gave Eric a hard twist on the shoulder. It would be better to tell everyone about us openly. ”

"Good idea. But I'll try my way first. He said as he opened the door to the cubicle amid Susan's whispered exclamation.

A coat was draped over Susan's upper body, protecting most of her body. As she screamed, Eric retracted her magnetic field. Susan faded into thin air, and if outsiders looked at him, they thought he was shaking his shirt.

"Keep your head up, don't be nervous, be confident, and be as relaxed and natural as a princess watching the scenery in her own garden." Eric whispered in Susan's ear, and Susan's mind was so full of nervousness and fear that she was completely unaware that she was not at risk of being exposed.

"Take a step to the left, then to the right. Yes, avoid the waiters. Eric directs Susan's footsteps, leading her to avoid the people passing by, and in the eyes of others, he is just a person dancing alone in music, and no one knows that he is playing adventure games with a beautiful woman in his arms.

Susan had never attempted such a bold act, although she had always been a lonely. Standing up is self-proclaimed. At home she is an obedient and well-behaved daughter, a nosy sister in front of her brothers, and a gentle and hot modern woman in front of men. But there was a box that always limited her, and that invisible restriction deprived her of many opportunities to step into another life. Sometimes she wonders what her life would have been like if she had made a different choice before something. Isn't there a completely different new realm? She has imagined many paths in life, but she has never tried them herself.

Today, she tasted something different.

She seemed to be standing on the edge of a cliff. Standing tall in the wind, the intense air currents take away some of the body surface temperature. Her smooth skin tightened slightly, especially her legs, which weren't guarded by Eric's body and his coat. It was even colder, but the rough fabric of the gentleman's clothes rubbed against her, drawing her attention to the painful and itchy touch, and when they were inadvertently brushed, they brought a shiver of slight pain, as if they were on fire, and the shade on her legs was dispelled as if they were on fire.

Turning sideways, Eric took her in a semicircle, like a boat rushing to the top of a huge wave, lightly changed direction, glided down from the other side of the turbulent waves, and before he could catch his breath, another thrilling came to her side, at this time Eric quietly rolled up the sail, from the extreme movement to the extreme quiet, and the danger staggered again. In just a short distance, Susan felt that she had become a free and easy Haiou, waving her vigorous wings to bravely challenge the unfathomable depths of the sea.

It wasn't until they had successfully crossed the fifteen-yard moat that Susan still had a feeling of unfinished business, the tip of her nose and forehead covered with a thin bead of sweat, and she was panting and licking her lips gently.

Eric put her down, and now that her feet were finally safe, Susan was completely relieved to step on the soft carpet beneath her feet.

A short walk further on, there is the women's lounge, and there is no "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, which means that it is empty.

"You did it on purpose, right?" Susan stood against the wall, and only then did she realize that she had regained her ability and was invisible, and the thrill of this section of the road was actually just an illusion, and she should have breathed a sigh of relief, but once she saw this, she was a little lost, and those self-righteous adventures were as illusory as the water moon mirror flower. She didn't want to be ignored now, where others couldn't notice, and she slowly revealed her figure, staring straight at Eric with big blue eyes.

"Isn't that a fun experience?" Eric doesn't deny that Susan intends to play tricks on him, and of course he wants to trick him back, but it wasn't his intention to be too out of line, and after this little lesson, the Invisible Girl shouldn't abuse her abilities anymore.

Susan didn't care what he thought, she wrinkled her nose arrogantly.

"You're going to make it up to me." She snorted.

"Then invite you to a dance." Eric's reply made Susan feel indescribable, like happy, but also a little confused, and she vaguely felt that she was beginning to deviate from her old life, and was speeding away from a completely different path from the past.

Before she could savor it, a familiar figure came into her eyes, and she didn't have time to become invisible, so she suddenly hugged Eric's head and kissed her heavily.

"Susan?" A man calls Susan's name and looks around for her traces. Soon passing by them, perhaps seeing that the two men behaved so intimately and dressed differently from the person he was looking for, he did not pay attention and left the hall in the opposite direction of the hallway.

It was Doom, and after frequent actions at the drinking party but repeated frustrations, he finally remembered his girlfriend who came with him, and thought that his snub made her angry, so he looked for her everywhere.

Let him look for it slowly, those who are too utilitarian are destined to lose some precious things, Eric grabbed Susan's waist and walked generously in the direction where Dom came.

Passing by a dining table, Eric took away a light blue speckled tablecloth from the table, his movements were so fast, the cups and saucers full of wine and snacks were still standing firmly on the table, but the tablecloth was already in Eric's hand, and he carefully wrapped it around Susan's body, like dressing her in a light blue Indian sari, giving the golden-skinned young lady a touch of exoticism.

"This is the evening dress you prepared for me?" Susan looked at the man in front of her and teased him.

"I love this color, just like the one I saw you last time on the balcony." Eric said, pulling her into the middle of the field, and the melodious music was playing.

Susan was involuntarily pulled in by him, but her mind was still recalling his words.

Balcony, light blue.

She suddenly remembered a strange experience, that day, when she was upset about the relationship between Doom and Reed, the necklace she was playing with in her hand was accidentally lost in the air, and she could not imagine where it would fall after falling from a height of three hundred feet, she did not dare to imagine it at all, but a gust of wind blew it back, as if it was destined to belong to her, and an invisible hand put the treasure handed down by her mother back in front of her.

It turned out to be him.

Susan recalled the surprise at that time, and suddenly decided not to resist the unknown fate, she closed her eyes, and opened them again, the shadows of the other two people gradually blurred in her mind, and she obediently took Eric's hand and walked forward.

The music is melodious and fades back into ethereal, and after a dance, Susan changes her clothes and returns to her original position, while Eric finds Norman and plans to say goodbye to him.

"It was a good dance." Norman blinked, then glanced vaguely at Doom, the titular boyfriend had finally found the right direction, and now he was standing next to Susan, but still didn't have time to pay attention to her mood, but found another guest to talk.

Susan seemed to sense the gaze, she looked at her from a distance, Eric gave her a flying kiss, Susan secretly made a throat-slitting motion, that playful expression made Eric chuckle.

Norman interrupted the two of them, and he led Eric to the podium in the room.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please let me introduce you to a new friend." Norman exclaimed, his voice quickly attracting the attention of the audience, including Doom and Stark.

"There are some people who can fly high in the sky without wings, without tools, but can solve problems that modern industry cannot solve, even extremely dangerous flames and cold waves cannot hurt them, they help the needy, not afraid of hardships and dangers, they are our close relatives - mutants." Norman's hand pointed at Eric. "Let's welcome this friend from the mutants - his name is Eric!"

After speaking, there was immediately applause from the audience, not particularly enthusiastic, nor indifferent, except for the employees of Osborne Industries who were more hard-working, most of them just clapped their hands for Norman's introduction etiquette.

"Mutants, can you help me turn brass into gold?" A voice suddenly came from the crowd, it was a fat man with a rosacea.

Eric took the microphone.

"I'd love to do that, but given the possibility that the Federal Reserve will send someone to hunt it down, I'd advise you to dismiss it."

His witty words made people laugh, and they applauded again, this time less perfunctory than the last time. (To be continued!)
