Chapter 231: The Dharma is boundless

In today's society, there are many eminent monks who will form relics after cremation. The relics they formed were of different sizes and colors.

On the evening of May 7, 1993, the only Tibetan Buddhist lama in Shenyang, the great scripture teacher, Zhao Wuliji, suddenly felt unwell and wanted to go back to his hometown of Fuxin, Liaoning. Unexpectedly, as soon as the temple sent someone to send him to the Shenyang Railway Station, he passed away quietly. The body of the senior monk was sent to the Shenyang Wenguantun Funeral Home for cremation. After cremation, dozens of red, green, yellow, black, white and other multi-colored precious crystals were found in his ashes. The big ones are like soybeans, the small ones are like rice grains, and they are identified by Buddhist experts and are considered to be the precious relics left by the monks who passed away.

It is rumored that many eminent monks left as many as 10,000 relics, which shows the depth of their cultivation.

In March 1991, after the death of Master Tongxian, a senior monk in Shanxi, he was cremated and obtained 11,000 five-color relics. The relics he left behind were as big as a chicken's egg.

On September 27, 1989, after the death of Master Kuan Neng, the abbot of Xishan Xishi Nunnery in Guiping, Guangxi, he was cremated and obtained 3 turquoise, crystal clear relics, each with a diameter of 3-4 cm, like emeralds. What is especially amazing is that after the death of the monk, the heart could not be burned, and finally turned into a solid relic!

Coincidentally, I have heard that after the death of a high monk, there are more things about getting relics:

In 1994, 93-year-old Venerable Yuan Zhao practiced at Fahua Temple in Guanyin Mountain, Shaanxi Province. After entering June, there is no water and rice. On June 12, his expression suddenly became extremely excited and excited. At about 9 o'clock in the evening, after giving a lecture on Buddhism to the disciples in the temple who came to visit, he said, "I leave my heart to all sentient beings," and then he was silent. When everyone watched, they closed their eyes, meditated cross-legged, and passed away quietly.

After four days, the disciples followed the Buddhist canon. Set up firewood on a large bluestone slab in the temple and incinerate the master. Amazingly, the fire burned for a whole day. The Dharma body of the mage forms more than 100 relics and relics of different sizes and shapes. The relics are snow-white in color and are inlaid with red pores the size of rice grains. Fahua Temple once sent people to bring relics to the Provincial Buddhist Association, and after Master Yu Yuan's identification, it was confirmed that it was a rare relic. Later, the locals in order to store it permanently. Funds were also raised for the construction of a stupa relic.

As far as I know, not all eminent monks are cremated and can get relics. Generally speaking, there are also theories about the origin of relics: there are generally relics that appear after the cremation of those who have attained the attainment of the Dharma; Relics flying from Elysium, Pure Brake Land, or other Brake Land; The Buddhas of the Ten Directions or the enlightened people of each temple blessed the relics that were conjured.

There are two types of relics: whole-body relics and broken body relics, the former refers to the buried body, and the latter refers to the cremated bones. There are two types of body bone (birth) relics and Dharma Song (Dharma body) relics. In addition, there are three kinds of bone relics, hair relics, and meat relics.

Shakyamuni Buddha's seven-colored brain relics, a qiē Buddha's starting heart, all have four categories: a cloud is not a degree; And the realm of living beings is not finished, and my wish is not finished. Therefore, in the heart of great compassion in the realm of truth. Manifest incarnation, breadth of sentient beings. Although it shows extinction, it leaves relics and spreads it in the world, so that it can be worshiped and offered, and its heart will be good. Therefore, the power of the cloud is still there. Compassion is still smoked. For example, the cloud of the "Nirvana Sutra": "To win the vajra, to break the vajra body, not reluctant to be compassionate." The relics are distributed".

The Buddhist relics are not only peculiar in origin, but also. There are all kinds of incredible phenomena in offering and worshipping relics. According to an example given by Master Yinguang, before Emperor Wen of Sui became emperor, an Indian monk gave him a few relics. When he ascended the throne as emperor, he found that the relics had become hundreds.

Another example is the relics stupa of Ashoka Temple, you can hold it in your hand and look inside, everyone sees a different scene, and the size of the relics will change!

The various spirits of relics. It can be described as "God has no way". This kind of supernatural transformation has incredible value for propagating the Dharma. Worship relics, everyone benefits. Master Yinguang said that the supernatural phenomenon of relics is "the Buddha and Bodhisattva want to make a person who sees and hears a good root deeply." for the sake of manifestation". Therefore, the relics of Buddhism cannot be speculated in the world.

The phenomenon of relics is very rare, but in recent years, it has appeared frequently and has become a variety of anecdotes in contemporary Buddhism.

The old monk Guangqin, a contemporary monk, passed away on February 13, 1986. The relics left behind by the queen also have all kinds of miraculous phenomena. After the monk was cremated, he picked up more than 100 larger relics, and the smaller relics were also picked up by the disciples at home. A belated believer knelt in front of the cremation furnace and begged all night, and at dawn he found a small relic on his lap.

There is also a believer who enshrined a handful of ashes of the old monk Guangqin at home. As a result, relics were found again and again. There was also an old lady, too old and dizzy to look for tiny relics in the ashes. He immediately knelt down and begged for mercy from his master, but he kowtowed three times, and got three in a row.

There is also an old man surnamed Zhang, who is a disciple of the old monk Guangqin. When he rushed from Taipei to the crematorium of Miaotong Temple in Tainan, the relics in the crematorium had already been picked up by the believers who came first. He cried in front of the crematorium, grabbed two handfuls of ashes and wrapped them in handkerchiefs, and then drove back to Taipei. Along the way, he silently recited "Amitabha" more than once. After arriving at home, he put the ashes in the lacquer plate, and more than 30 crystal clear relics appeared, which was really incredible, and the Buddha was magnificent!

The 106-year-old Chinese Buddhist elder Benhuan passed away peacefully in 2012 in the abbot's room. At 9 o'clock in the morning of the 5th, the memorial service for Elder Benhuan was held in Shenzhen Hongfa Temple. About 5,000 people attended the memorial service at the site, and there were more than 10,000 people at several branch venues in Fairy Lake.

On April 12th, on the seventh day after Elder Benhwan's body entered the incarnation kiln, Koboji Temple held an opening ceremony for the long-term aging kiln. In the morning, the great monk Yinshun personally opened the kiln of Benhuan Chang Aging. According to eyewitnesses, many relics were seen at that time. The relics are of different sizes and colors, showing red, blue, white, black, brown, transparent and other colors, and have a variety of shapes such as circles and ovals.

In the process of sorting the relics, a piece of jade carried by the elder was also found. The jade was as good as new, and it had not changed color in the slightest from the effects of the fire.

I took the relic in front of me in my hand and looked at it carefully, and for some reason, at this moment, all the legends I knew about the Buddhist relics suddenly emerged from my mind. At that moment, it was as if I had been enlightened by the Dharma, as if I had been separated from another life. Until the old ghost woke me up with a word, I felt like I had been pulled out of another world, and I couldn't calm down for a long time.

When the old ghost saw that I was distracted, he said, "Look, you see good things, and your eyes are straight!" Here, bring it and I'll see! ”

And when he spoke, he took the relics out of my hand. I hurriedly knocked his hand off and said, "Take away your dirty hands, little heart Buddha relics!" ”

When the old ghost heard me say this, he was very upset and said, "Virtue, as long as your hands are clean!" ”

"I'll see it when I get back!" I said, and then put the relics in my bag. (To be continued......)
