Chapter 14: The Twelve Temples of Demon Suppression
Qin Zhen and the others couldn't help but glance at each other when they heard this, it seemed that this would be an ancient and mysterious story.
This story dates back to the time when Songtsen Gampo married Princess Wencheng. Of course, the topography of Tibet at that time was also very different from today. But at that time, Tibet did not have the shape of good fortune. Moreover, that stage coincided with the beginning of the Buddhist Dharma in the snowy region.
The Tibetan people introduced a qiē about Buddhism from all over the world, which is why most of the dowries of Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty were statues of Sakyamuni.
At that time, the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo was married to Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty and Princess Chizun of Nepal respectively. Whether it is the Tang Dynasty or Nepal, it is a country where Buddhism prevails. This also laid the foundation for this Tibetan king to be more and more deeply influenced by Buddhist teachings.
It is worth being proud that Princess Wencheng is not only knowledgeable and reasonable, but she also believes in Buddhism and has mastered the essentials of the five elements of Chinese feng shui.
A princess actually understands the feng shui terrain? Actually, this is not surprising. Earlier, in the village of the Demon Lord of Western Yunnan, Yu Dong once said that in ancient China, anyone with a little bit of culture was more or less proficient in feng shui. What's more, the princess has been nurtured by her family since she was a child and has a very high level of cultural literacy, so it is not surprising that she knows the basic Chinese studies such as feng shui or the five elements.
This Tang princess was married to Tubo by a holy decree of Li Shimin, Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, and she was not even clear in the history books of the Tang Dynasty, and she was enshrined as Jiamusa in Tubo, which means Han queen or Han goddess in Tibetan. She has lived in Tibet for nearly 40 years and has always been highly respected. In addition to the princess's own character and talent, there are many wonderful reasons for this.
It is said that at that time, the Tibetan king and the Nepalese princess always failed to build a temple in front of the palace. If it is built during the day, it will be destroyed by ghosts at night. The difficulty of the progress of the project is comparable to that of the highway in Metuo. In desperation, the king found Princess Wencheng and asked her to survey the address of the temple.
The princess used what she had learned in her life to carefully survey the terrain of snowy Tibet. Only then was I surprised to find that the terrain of Tibet was like a Rakshasa witch lying on her back! This kind of shape is called witch drying corpse in feng shui, which is not only a great unfavorable terrain. And it also had an impact on the king and the people.
Rakshasa Witch. It's almost synonymous with demons. Among the eight Heavenly Dragons that Qin Zhen encountered in the Meili Snow Mountain, Asura had a great relationship with Rakshasas. And there is also a saying in the Buddhist scriptures: Rakshasa is the common name of evil ghosts.
In most Buddhist texts, the male is the Shura, and the female is the Rakshasa. The types of this rakshasa also seem to be varied. For example, there are eight Rakshasa women, ten Rakshasa women, seventy-two Rakshasa women, five hundred Rakshasa women, and so on. It doesn't matter what kind of person she is. In Buddhist scriptures, the image of the Rakshasa woman is depicted as very hideous and terrifying. The image is almost all red-haired, black-headed, blue-eyed, and bloody. Specializes in eating human flesh and blood. Evil spirits like that.
In short, at that time, such a terrible Rakshasa witch was a fierce god who had to be suppressed. Not ambushed. There are no days of tranquility in Tibet.
Under the influence of the increasingly popular Buddhism, the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo was convinced that the terrain of this Rakshasa female corpse would bring irreparable doom to Tibet. So, he handed over this qiē to Princess Wencheng.
The princess surveyed the terrain and used the calculation of the five elements of feng shui, only to find that the terrain of the "female demon drying the corpse" was so entrenched. The mountains and lakes have become the blood of the female demon, Lhasa's Wotang Lake is the brainchild of the female demon, the three mountains are the heart and veins of the witch, the surrounding Muqi is the residence of the dragon god, and the Chalalupu under the eastern cliff of the medicine king is the habitat of the black evil dragon, etc.
If you want to completely suppress the female demon, you have to start by conditioning the feng shui in Lhasa and its vicinity.
In order to suppress the witch's whims, the princess built the Potala Palace, a royal palace, on the Red Mountain. In order to shock the heart of the demon, the Wotang Lake was filled in, and the statue of Sakyamuni and other figures were enshrined on it, which is today's Jokhang Temple.
After suppressing the evil spirit at the "heart and blood", Princess Wencheng drew a map of Tibetan demons, which was later made into a thangka. The map marks the places where temples should be built in places such as elbows, feet, shoulders, knees, and palms, forming the famous twelve temples in Tibetan history.
In addition, the construction of white pagodas, stone lions, Buddha statues, Dapeng and other objects in specific feng shui places can further transform Tibetan feng shui.
This Twelve Temples of Demon Suppression is said to have twelve immovable nails for the female demons inside. Once you have gathered these twelve Buddha bone god nails, you can find the location of the mountain of the gods. Needless to say, that must be Shangri-La.
Today's Tibetan topography has long since changed, and the 12 immovable nails have gradually been forgotten by people. Legend has it that a large part of the twelve miraculous nails were taken into the secret realm of the lotus flower guarded by Motuo. Only the Pengtang Jiqu Monastery in Bhutan, the Lozha Kunting Monastery in Shannan, and the Shennailun Monastery in the Cangba Nonglun Monastery in the grasslands of northern Tibet are not among them.
When he first heard this, Lao Gu stood up suddenly, stared at him and said unacceptably: "Tibet, northern Tibet?!" Old man...... Don't make a fuss...... You're asking for our lives! ”
The old man was taken aback by Gu Jie's sudden move, and looked at Gu Jie in surprise, not understanding why he was suddenly so excited.
Seeing this, Qin Zhen hurriedly explained to the old man: "You don't know that the script that was staged 70 years ago is now coming back again. It's just that this time we are not facing foreigners, but Chinese. ”
Hearing this, a strange light appeared in the old man's eyes, and he hurriedly motioned for Qin Zhen to continue.
Qin Zhen sighed slightly, and roughly told the old man how the three of them were framed, how Fu Tianlei was greedy, and how they finally told the old man how Fu Tianlei was sent to northern Tibet. Of course, this omits the Shangri-La Eye and the Shangri-La entrance.
It's not that he's afraid that this old man will think of anything wrong, but he doesn't want to add trouble to the old man, and he's even more afraid that it will cause him some unnecessary trouble. After all, his two little grandsons are still here. Their father disappeared in search of these secrets. It must not arouse the curiosity of these two young men, let them risk their lives again.
The old man nodded, understanding what Qin Zhen meant. Then he said to Qin Zhen: "The original appearance of northern Tibet may be different from what you see today, and it may be normal to be displaced and dislocated." Whether the twelve nails exist or not, no one knows. But legend has it that there was a great master of Tibetan Esoteric who brought the Buddha bone nail from northern Tibet to Nepal. He wanted to find the last three roots, and then return them all to the Lotus Secret Realm. But what happened to him later, no one knows......"
Lao Gu was stunned for a moment after hearing this, and then immediately laughed: "Hahahaha!" This is called an eye-opener! It doesn't matter if it's a bone or a nail, even if it's a screw cap, it's a danger to fall into northern Tibet! Okay this time, except for northern Tibet, our brothers can do it at the ends of the earth! ”
The old man looked at Gu Jie's face that was smiling anxiously for a while, and he actually laughed dryly twice. This made Qin Zhen feel a little embarrassed, so he pulled Lao Gu over and asked him to shut up and sit honestly on the side!
After that, he asked the old man, "Old man, did those foreigners find the Lotus Secret Realm?" This is an important question because, after all, the last stop of the Nazi German army was not in Metuo. The reason why they continue to move forward is most likely because of further gains! If the Lotus Secret Realm had already been reached by them, it would definitely have been looted! At that time, even if Qin Zhen and the others found the secret realm, they would not get any clues about Shangri-La!
Now it seems that they have to find the Lotus Secret Realm first, and then it depends on the situation. However, it is highly likely that they will have to make a trip to Shannan, Bhutan and Nepal to find the remaining three Buddha bone nails. That's not too far off the route they originally planned. I just don't understand, how can the twelve nails be related to the entrance to Shangri-La?
The more I thought about it, the more I felt that the thoughts in my head were like a mess. Qin Zhen should need some time to be quiet and go through all the existing clues again.
Qin Zhen said to the old man very gratefully, "You have really helped us a lot!" Blessed by the gods and Buddhas, I met you just after I arrived in Motuo. But there is one more thing, I want you to point us out......" Qin Zhen himself felt a little embarrassed, they had too many questions......
However, the old man immediately asked knowingly, "Do you want me to sue you, how can I find the cliff of Nanga Bhava?" Isn't it? ”
Qin Zhen did not hide it, and nodded again and again. There was a hint of anticipation and even pleading in his eyes. He believed that there would never be anyone in the whole of Motuo who knew better about the geographical location of those special places than this old man.
The old man looked at Qin Zhen, sighed a little hesitantly and said, "Are you really going there?" That's where my son disappeared...... Not only him, but also many people who tried to find the Lotus Secret Realm have disappeared there......"
Qin Zhen understood the old man's kindness, nodded gratefully, and smiled kindly at the old man. After the old man finished speaking, Qin Zhen said to the old man calmly and firmly: "I understand, you are for our good. You are afraid that we will repeat the same tragedy and disappear on the Nanga Bhava Peak. But the old man...... My friend disappeared and I watched him disappear in front of me...... I've got to find him. Again, if offending the sacred mountain or worrying about my life can bring me even the slightest clue that I can find him, I am willing. (To be continued......)
