Chapter 158: Fairy Tales
The idea is beautiful, but the reality is too cruel. Just when the door of a separate cubicle in the reading room suddenly opened, Dr. Servig, wearing a checkered shirt and tie, walked out slowly with a cup of coffee in his hand: "Oh, Agent Coulson said someone wanted to see me?" โ
Magdalina's mouth also opened slightly, which was too coincidental. Who would have known that Dr. Servig would look up information in the e-reading room when he wasn't in the lab pondering the Rubik's Cube of the universe?
Ymir's little face was already dripping with bitterness, and he greeted him helplessly, smiling and saying, "Yes, Dr. Servig, I have some questions for you. โ
After taking a sip of the bitter latte, Dr. Servig looked at Ymir before nodding and walking back to the independent reading room: "I like to have discussions with students the most, I remember your name, Ymir of Columbia University?" Please come in, please come in, it's too difficult to find someone here who can talk about it. โ
Every researcher in the Institute of Dark Energy has a lot of work to do, and the most important thing is that they belong to different areas of expertise, and it is really difficult to discuss them together.
"Thank you!" With a stomach full of bad water, but the goal was not yet achieved, Ymir had no choice but to follow Dr. Servig in.
"Sit down, sit down, maybe, you'll need a drink? Coffee or juice, I don't drink alcoholic beverages in the electronic reading room during the day. Dr. Servig warmly pulled Ymir to sit down, and he reached for the call button on the table, and soon the service staff would bring a drink.
"Oh, thanks. Dr. Servig, actually, I have a little bit of a personal question. With a strange smile on his face, Ymir declined Dr. Servig's offer.
Dr. Servig nodded, showing a look of understanding, and he smiled kindly at Ymir: "I have a daughter, and at your age, she is always very anxious, and she always wants to know the world she doesn't know. โ
Ymir and Dr. Servig sat down across a desk, facing each other. He nodded silently, thinking in his heart, if you look at it according to the timeline in the Marvel series of movies in the previous life.
Now that Dr. Servig has joined S.H.I.E.L.D., the plot of the previous "Thor" movie should have been experienced.
In the "Thor" movie, the Norse gods live in the heavenly realm, the abode of the gods, in the resplendent Golden Palace of Arthurgard. And Thor, the favorite son of the Norse god king Odin, the most powerful general, and the thunder god who controls the storm and lightning, recklessly ignited another war between the gods and the giants.
The peace of the heavenly realm is in jeopardy, and the common people of the Protoss will be even more devastated.
Such an arrogant, greedy, arrogant, and impulsive son, no matter how brave and invincible, is not a descendant of King Odin who can inherit his great cause. So, the enraged God-King withdrew Thor's Thunder Hammer and struck him at the mortal dust.
Reduced to the human world, Thor lost his invincible divine power, as well as the powerful Thor's hammer, and he became a mortal completely. Luckily, Dr. Servig saved him, and the Doctor's beautiful female assistant, Jane Foster, became Thor's girlfriend on earth.
Leaning slightly, Ymir lowered his voice and asked, "So, Dr. Servig, before solving my little question, can you answer me Do you believe that there are gods in this world?" โ
He continued, "Magdalina and I had some trouble studying the Monument of Time, perhaps related to ancient Aztec mythology. Someone pointed out to me and said, "Doctor, you've been up close to mythology, so I'd like to get help from you." โ
This is pure nonsense, even within S.H.I.E.L.D., there are not many agents who know about the events of Thor in Mexico. And now in the dark energy research institute, there are only a few people, Agent Coulson, Agent Sitwell, and Hawkeye Barton.
But Ymir really had no choice, he couldn't just say to Dr. Servig: "I saw your movies in my previous life, and with all due respect, you acted very well!" However, a few punches should be punched in Loki's nose, preferably so that he doesn't come out again for a century."
Not to mention whether Dr. Servig would think that Ymir was a madman, I'm afraid that the agents in S.H.I.E.L.D. will dissect him first and study him thoroughly.
"Oh, oh, gods?" Dr. Servig had a playful smile on his face, "Listen, kid, I didn't know you heard I could help you. However, since you've found me, I don't mind sharing my childhood story with you. โ
Dr. Servig picked up his cup, forgetting that he had just drained the coffee in one gulp. He had no choice but to put the cup down and squint his eyes to recall: "Once, people accepted such a simple reality, and we are not alone in this vast universe. โ
"It is believed that somewhere in heaven is the abode of the gods. For others, there is fear, a long, long time ago, frost trolls descended on the earth, they came from a world of extreme cold and darkness. They threaten to bring our world into the Ice Age once again and exterminate our civilization. โ
Ymir kept a polite smile and listened quietly to Dr. Servig, but gradually his smile froze. The corners of his mouth twitched, and he couldn't maintain his appearance.
Dr. Servig lowered his voice as if singing a hymn: "But we are not alone, we have our own beliefs, and we have gods who guard the vigorous development of human civilization. โ
"Their army followed the frost trolls to destroy the world of Miรจ. The two sides fought a great battle, and the armies of the gods banished the frost trolls back to their own world, and the gods suffered heavy losses. Eventually, our gods defeated the troll leaders and robbed them of the source of their power to travel to and from Earth. From now on, the divine realm is under the divine realm, and the human world is independent of the human world. โ
Ymir rolled his eyes feebly, and he interrupted Dr. Servig with a mutter, "Come on, Doctor, I'm not here to hear you tell me about my bedtime fairy tale. Truth be told, we're all well aware that you've had dealings with races that claim to be gods. โ
"Isn't it, Thor, Einstein-Rosen Bridge, and the Armor Destroyer of God," Dr. Servig's eyes widened, looking at Ymir in disbelief, wondering where he had learned such classified information.
