Chapter 67. Twenty-four filial piety (plus more, thank you @小QQ8 for the crown)

Master Tie Songzi went on to say, since these things are kept for us to see, the eight poles are unpredictable, and there must be more than one eight-pole seal in this world, but according to this connection, there must be only Hu Zongren alone. Therefore, I think that the two poles here are connected, which is specifically referring to Hu Zongren, since this is the case, the three words between heaven and earth behind represent the ghost incident you encountered in the Chaotianmen market before, which is to divide the world into heaven and earth for the test of the entire eight-pole seal.

I asked Tie Songzi, what does it mean to divide heaven and earth? Tie Songzi smiled and asked me, did you ever play a game with other little children when you were a child, called "planting land"? I said of course I played, that is, two people draw a square on the side of the mud and then divide it into two halves, and use a knife or bamboo stick to dart three times in the form of darts on their own side, if all are on their own land, you can fly another dart on each other's land, and then divide, playing this game I am proud of the whole community, no one is my opponent, and also, I am not a little child. Master Tie Songzi smiled and said, that's right, it's this game, since there is an opponent, then it will definitely win or lose. The two sides of your game are actually like heaven and earth at this moment, coexisting with each other but unable to avoid violating each other. Master Tie Songzi explained, one side becomes stronger and the other party naturally becomes weaker, this is like the relationship between us and the Xuanyuan Society, since it is subject to the test rules of the Eight Pole Seal, then there must be a virtual range, and within this range, there are only two people who are opponents of each other, and the heaven and earth in this poem, in fact, refers to the eight poles, each divided into heaven and earth.

I seem to understand a little bit when Tie Songzi says this. He went on to say that the meaning of the second and third sentences is actually explained well, but you have overlooked one point, that is, although this poem pretends to borrow the experience of Goujian, the king of Yue, and Xiang Yu, the king of Chu, two completely different eras, there is one thing in common, that is, they are also experiencing war. Just imagine, why did the people of the Xuanyuan Society use two sentences in a total of four lines of poetry to highlight the war? Before I could answer him, he asked himself and said that it was because it was to allude to the war in the history of Sichuan and Chongqing.

I flattened my mouth and said unconvinced, since you know the answer to the Dao, why do you need to ask yourself, besides, the original sentence has the meaning of insinuation, I also guessed it, but I don't know what the Dao is alluding to. Master Tie Songzi went on to say that there were many wars in the history of Sichuan, but the people of the Xuanyuan Society chose this place to leave this poem, don't you think it has something to do with the Huguang Hall on the top of this slope?

As soon as Master Tie Songzi said this, I suddenly thought that in the third game of the poem, the embattled singing the way back, what is the way back? Is that because their hometown is not here? If it is a person whose home is far away, then there is only one time in the history of Chongqing, which is what I mentioned with Master Tie Songzi before, Huguang fills Sichuan. And the Huguang Guild Hall is also a place of homesickness for these people who have migrated to Chongqing from other provinces.

Master Tie Songzi said, this Huguang Guild Hall, in the Ming and Qing dynasties, was one of the eight provincial halls of the famous Sichuan, many businessmen from all over the country, because of doing business in this area, so that the financial resources are abundant, in order not to forget the original, to commemorate the ancestors, but also to give other peers from all over the country a place to meet, so these big businessmen, built their own ancestral halls, such as Jiangxi Guild Hall, Fujian Guild Hall, Guangdong Guild Hall and so on. Among the eight provincial halls, the most financially powerful ones are the Jiangxi Hall and the Huguang Hall. At that time, the Jiangxi Hall also had another name, called Wanshou Palace, and the so-called Wanshou Palace, dedicated to the local "God of Fortune" in Jiangxi, the name of this God of Fortune is Xu Zhenjun, who was a very profound Taoist priest in the Jin Dynasty, and was famous for subduing the dragon. Master Tie Songzi glanced at us and said, Of course, no one knows whether this is true or not.

Master Tie Songzi said with pride, you probably don't believe that many ancestral halls will choose to use Taoist ideas to inherit and continue, because in almost any period in history, the contributions made by Taoist people are extraordinary. Hu Zongren grabbed the words and said, that's right, just like what Qiu Chuji, Lu Dongbin, these are all big shots! I glanced at Hu Zongren and said, of course they are big people, but they are because of the profundity of Taoism, what contribution do these old Taoist priests have to history? That Qiu also helped the Mongols invade my Great China in disguise! Master Tie Songzi said that the so-called contribution, anger and death have little to do with the depth of their own Taoism, and it is not necessarily that everyone who has advanced Taoism knows how to fight ghosts.

Master Tie Songzi then said to me, what you just said about Qiu Chuji, in fact, is still a little extreme, although Qiu Chuji assisted the Mongols, but that was to make the Mongols, who only knew brute force and did not understand benevolence and righteousness, better rule China, so that the people suffered less, the so-called "curve to save the country". In this sense, he still has merit. And you all know Liu Bowen, right? The three of us all looked at Master Tie Songzi and nodded, like a few elementary school students listening carefully. Master Tie Songzi began to say proudly that at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Liu Bowen assisted Zhu Yuanzhang to fight against the Mongols, and finally let the world return to the hands of the descendants of Yan and Huang.

Master Tie Songzi went on to say that it was not only Liu Bowen and Qiu Chuji, but Xu Maogong of Wagang in the Sui Dynasty, who assisted the Tang King to seize the world and open up a prosperous era, and was given the surname Li; Further afore, Xie An of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the prime minister, was proficient in Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, and was a master of metaphysics. Further afore, Zhuge Liang married Huang Yueying, and Huang Yueying was the daughter of Huang Chengyan, but Huang Chengyan was a descendant of the Taoist ancestor Yellow Emperor, so Zhuge Liang obtained the "Qimen Dunjia Technique" to assist Liu Bei in consolidating the power of Shu; In addition, there are Zhang Liang to assist Liu Bang, Jiang Ziya to help Zhou Xuan, Wushan Goddess to help Dayu control the water, Nine Heavens Xuannu to help the Yellow Emperor unify the Central Plains, etc., and Zhang Liang, Jiang Ziya, Wushan Goddess and Nine Heavens Xuannu, these are Taoist figures, Taoism has almost repeatedly played the most important role in history, important enough to turn things around.

After Master Tie Songzi said this, I suddenly felt very surprised, because I originally knew some of the stories of these people in the Dao, although I didn't know much about it, but I didn't know until that time that these people were all Taoist families.

Master Tie Songzi went on to say that not only the Wanshou Palace of the Jiangxi Guild Hall, but even the Huguang Guild Hall on top of us, he is also more Taoist. Because the Huguang Hall also had a nickname earlier, it was called Yuwang Palace. I said that I know the way, because King Yu's wife Tu Shi, now there is a Tu Mountain Temple on the top of Tu Mountain, before the old man Situ once took us there to meet Master Weicheng, it is a Buddhist temple, but also worship the Emperor Zhenwu, belongs to the unity of Buddhism and Taoism. Master Tie Songzi said with a smile that the Yuwang Palace here has nothing to do with Tu Mountain, it is just a pure Yuwang Palace. I said that Dayu is not a Taoist in the strict sense, and there are many Buddhist temples dedicated to King Yu. Master Tie Songzi raised his chin at Hu Zongren and said, what is the most commonly used trick for your Yaoshan faction to invite gods to send gods?

Hu Zongren thought about it and said, of course it's the Big Dipper Seven Star Steps, most of the Taoist people should know this. Master Tie Songzi said with a smile, what is the other name of the Big Dipper Seven Star Steps? Hu Zongren said hesitantly, step on the gang? Master Tie Songzi said, that's right, do you know who founded Lu Dao? Hu Zongren slapped his face and said loudly, I know the truth! It was created by Dayu, and this is also commonly known as the foot Yu Wang step!

Master Tie Songzi looked at me, and then spread out his hands, the red cloth bag in his palm fluttering in the wind. The meaning of his eyes seemed to say, look, just say that you kid is short-sighted. Master Tie Songzi said that Yuwangbu is a more commonly used pace, the purpose of which is to concentrate on the spirit, dispel evil and help the right. And the Huguang Hall almost every year there will be a worship of Yu Festival, during the Taoist practice, must jump a step is Yu Wang step.

Master Tie Songzi saw that we didn't refute, probably thinking that we all understood, so he pointed to the last sentence on the card and said, this sentence, the filial piety in front of the grave is empty, here is very ingenious, the people of the Xuanyuan Society use the word "Liulian" instead of "lingering", although the meaning of these two words is similar, but there are still some subtle differences. For example, "staying" refers more to nostalgia, reluctance, and going back again, while "lingering" has a more dazed feeling of being at a loss. That means that even if you are a filial son, no matter how reluctant you are, you still have to leave, and the time to see you again is far away.

Master Tie Songzi sighed and said, this Huguang Hall has become a tourist attraction over the years, showing the culture of the hall in its heyday, and the things in the hall are very well preserved, and several stages are still there. I said of course I know, it's not the first time I've been here. Master Tie Songzi continued, I was thinking that since the Xuanyuan Society chose to hide things here, although it was literally written as "East Water Gate", it used two sentences to allude to Huguang's filling of Sichuan, and brought the direction to the Huguang Guild Hall on the top of Lu, there must be something related to it in the museum, but what I can think of, in addition to the statue of King Yu and those relief paintings in the museum, I really don't know what Lu Dao is referring to.

As soon as Tie Songzi finished saying this, I seemed to think of something. So I asked Master Tie Songzi, do you remember what the content of those reliefs was? Master Tie Songzi said, remember, it's nothing more than some mythological stories and the like, as well as some folk classic allusions. I asked Master Tie Songzi, are there twenty-four filial piety stories in those allusions? Master Tie Songzi said, yes... At this point, he paused with his mouth open, then looked at the verses on the card in his hand.

This is a Tibetan poem, four sentences combined, exactly "twenty-four filial piety".
