Volume 2: A Laugh in the Sea Chapter 178: Demolishing Temples and Destroying Temples to Eat Big Households (I)

But after Rong Jiaojiao got the warrant, she handed it over to another Lao Junguan disciple who came with her, and asked him to take it back to make an errand, and she stayed with peace of mind. In essence, she and Rong Fengxiang are not really father and daughter. Rong Jiaojiao, like Shangguan Long, is a hidden stake planted in the Central Plains by the Great Ming Zun Sect of the Western Regions, and it is a relationship with the Demon Gate to use each other.

The Great Ming Zun Sect is based in the Western Regions, and it also has ambitions for the Central Plains. In their sect, the leader of the sect is headed by the "Great Zun", and it is divided into two systems: light and dark. The Ming Department is headed by the Good Mother and the Five Ming Sons, who are responsible for promoting religion; The dark system is respected by atoms and five types of demons, and is responsible for eradicating dissent, and is the executioner of the sect. Rong Jiaojiao is the wonderful wind of the Ming system. And Zheng Guogong Wang Shichong is the atom of the previous generation of the Great Ming Zun Sect.

Since Wang Shichong mastered the military power in Luoyang, he has been a pivotal figure in the Central Plains. If there was no Chen Sheng, he would have had a better chance to pass the emperor's addiction. Since there is already such a shili, of course, it is impossible for the Great Ming Zun Sect in the Western Regions to control him anymore, and he has not obeyed the orders of the sect leader Dazun since a long time ago.

In fact, it's okay for the Great Ming Zun Sect to deceive those barbarians in the Western Regions. Got the Central Plains? On the breadth of the doctrine, the depth of the foundation. Here are the three religions of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, which one is not better than your Da Ming Zun Sect? Therefore, after coming to the Central Plains, Wang Shichong's centrifugation of the Ming Zun Sect is inevitable. And Rong Jiaojiao's mentality is similar to Wang Shichong.

What shijie is the end of the battle, the battle between light and darkness...... . Women, don't you just want to find a good man after a lifetime? Now that she has a relationship with Chen Sheng, Rong Jiaojiao doesn't want to go back. Staying by Chen Sheng's side, maybe there will be a chance to be a concubine, but isn't it much stronger than being a wonderful wind Mingzi taught by the Great Ming Zun?

As for Chen Sheng, it doesn't matter. For the sake of the previous relationship, you can come if you want to, anyway, it's not that you can't afford to raise idlers. As for relying on me for the rest of my life? Not that way. After a few days, I finished all the tasks in this shijie, and naturally walked away. I don't care what happens in the future.

Rong Jiaojiao is one of the two Yans in Luoyang. Dong Shuni, who is the same name as her, is Wang Shichong's niece, and the relationship between the two is still very good. Before Wang Shichong wooed Li Valve and joined forces to deal with Chen Sheng, Li Valve's condition was to marry Dong Shuni to Li Yuan, and Wang Shichong agreed. But Li Yuan is a bad old man, of course Dong Shuni is unwilling, so she told Chen Sheng through Rong Jiaojiao's relationship. The reason why Wang Shichong couldn't wait for the originally planned banquet in the eighteenth palace of Layue and made trouble in advance was also related to the fact that he found out that Jihua had leaked.

Now that Wang Shichong has fallen, several of his sons and brothers have also been locked up, and Dong Shuni is certainly no exception. Rong Jiaojiao couldn't bear it, so for the sake of her previous feelings, she dared to ask Chen Sheng to let Dong Shuni go. Chen Sheng didn't care even more. A little woman, are you still afraid that she will turn the sky upside down? So he agreed to Rong Jiaojiao's request. But there are indeed many things in the world that are unexpected. Chen Sheng's release warrant has not yet been written, and Xia Yushan, a leader of the Wagang Army, has already run over to report. Someone forcibly broke into the prison where Wang Shichong's family was imprisoned and rescued Dong Shuni, and then the two disappeared together and disappeared. As for who this person is, no one can see it at all.

Xia Yushan didn't know who was saving people, but Chen Sheng and Rong Jiaojiao immediately understood. This person must be the shadow assassin Yang Xuyan. Yang Xuyan was originally under the orders of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty and assassinated the leaders of the rebel armies who rebelled against the Sui Dynasty. After the death of Emperor Yang of Sui, Yang Xuyan was obsessed with Dong Shuni, so he followed Wang Shichong to do things. He was originally from the Sui Dynasty clan, he was good-looking, and his martial arts were high, so of course he was easy to please girls. So I quickly got on with Dong Shuni. Now that Dong Shuni is in trouble, Yang Xuyan came to the rescue, but it is actually very natural?

Yang Xuyan is the eldest brother of Emperor Yang of Sui and the son of the deposed prince Yang Yong. So he has always been ambitious and wants to regain the country that should have belonged to him. Although the fall of Wang Shichong this time gave Yang Xuyan a big blow, presumably he would not give up this ambition. And the object he can ask for help must be the evil king Shi Zhixuan. Let go of Yang Xuyan and Dong Shuni, if you can hook Shi Zhixuan because of this, then it would not be bad. I just don't know if the shadow assassin can say that he can move his master out of the mountain. For this, Chen Sheng is still looking forward to this-

Pure Zen Temple! The scale of this temple is so grand. It was really much more than Chen Sheng expected.

Outside the majestic mountain gate, there is a row of spacious and flat stone steps paved with blue striped stone. From the foot of the mountain to the mountain gate, no more, no less, exactly eight hundred and eight steps.

Within the mountain gate, the houses and halls are lined up one after another, large and small combined, as many as hundreds. It's like a castle of a lot of scale. The rest of the monks' living places, as well as kitchens, utility rooms and other buildings, not counting, just what Manjushri Hall, Mahavira Hall, Wuliang Hall, Tianwang Palace, Tibetan Scripture Pavilion ......, a total of seven halls.

These seven halls, all of which are arranged in turn on the central axis facing the temple gate, are complete and uniform in scale. The other buildings are arranged in an orderly manner with the main hall on the axis as a whole. Separated by a forest road, it has a solemn and sacred atmosphere. All buildings are covered with three-color glazed tiles, and the sรจ is as good as new. Under the sunshine, it is splendid and beautiful.

But all these buildings, even if they are all combined, are far inferior to the small hall located behind the Manjushri Temple, a small hall that is only three zhang square and only half a zhang high. Under the sunshine, I saw that compared with other halls, this small hall that looked extremely small and small was shining with yellow rays, which was very special. Just because the building materials of this temple are not wood and masonry, but copper! Pure copper!

As we all know, before the invention of paper money, all dynasties used copper to make coins for the common people to use. So copper is money, much more valuable than gold and silver. Although the bronze hall of Jingnian Zen Temple is only three zhang square, the height of the zhang is allow, and it is not solid, but the copper needed is at least not less than a dozen tons. All minted into copper coins, how many can there be? I don't know, I can't count it at all.

And that's just the value of the bronze hall itself. The point is, with so much copper, you may not be able to afford to build a temple. It takes a real craftsman to be able to do it. And how much is the hard work of these master craftsmen worth? That's even more impossible to calculate. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to say that this bronze hall is a priceless treasure. Because of this, the status of this bronze hall in the Pure Mind Monastery is also extraordinary. Basically, it is the core of the entire Zen temple, and all the other buildings are built around it, showing the posture of many stars and moons.

Not only that, in front of the bronze hall, there is a vast platform square that is made of white stone and surrounded by white stone carved railings. In the middle of the square, a bronze statue of Manjushri Bodhisattva riding on the back of a golden lion and up to two feet high is enshrined. Next to it are the three Buddhas of Medicine Master, Shakya and Mida. At the edge of the white stone platform, there are 500 Arhat statues, all of which are also cast in bronze. Then add gold leaf.

As we all know, Manjushri is the servant bodhisattva of Shakyamuni Buddha, alongside Puxian Bodhisattva. Normally, it should be the Buddha Shakyamuni in the middle, and the two Bodhisattvas Manjushri and Puxian are on the left and right. But now it has become a sacrifice to Manjushri with the three Buddhas. Such a placement is very unusual. To put it mildly, it's simply upside down, and I don't know what it means to the extreme.

Needless to say, other floating wealth such as gold and silver. This bronze hall alone, coupled with these hundreds of bronze statues, is already an unimaginable huge wealth for the pen. Rong Fengxiang, the richest man in Luoyang? Putting aside his business for the time being, just talking about the cash that can be taken out immediately, to be honest, his net worth may not be comparable to the Jingnian Zen Temple.

When I see these things, I understand that there are so many emperors in Weishenme in history, and they are going to destroy the Buddha one after another. It is said that it is to destroy the Buddha, but in fact, it is more correct to say that it is more correct to rob money. Years of war, population loss, reduced taxes, and an empty treasury. Even though he is the emperor, he is still so poor that he jingles. What should I do in this case? Of course, you have to eat a lot of food. Whoever is a big family will eat whomever he wants, and whoever has money will rob whomever he has, is there anything else to say? It's normal. It has nothing to do with whether the Buddha is a Buddha or not.

Chen Sheng's ancestors all believed in Buddhism, and he himself was also a Buddhist martial artist, and his relationship with the four holy monks in the world was even better. But Chen Sheng still didn't have the slightest good impression of these monasteries built at the cost of huge wealth. Back then, Shakyamuni preached the Dharma, wearing only a simple linen robe, walking barefoot, begging for food, everything was simple, where was there such luxury? Such a luxurious style has fundamentally deviated from the teachings of the Buddha, and it is the style of the Sixth Heavenly Demon King Bo Xun.

Because of this, Chen Sheng also looks at the matter of destroying the Buddha from two sides. Killing monks and burning scriptures is certainly not to be done. But to demolish the temple and confiscate the land belonging to the temple, Chen Sheng raised his hands in favor. Buddhists should have seen through the red dust, indulged in gold and silver all day long, and kept their clothes and food at a good price, so how could they see through the red dust? Therefore, Chen Sheng has never had a good impression of this kind of fake monk and fake nun, on the contrary, he has even more contempt. And today, Chen Sheng brought people here just to do one thing: demolition!

The heart of the Central Plains is a land ravaged by war, and the people are displaced and living in hardship. After the destruction of Wang Shichong, the Wagang Army took over the administration of this large area, of course, first of all, to relieve the people's hardship. Therefore, Chen Sheng, in the name of his King Chen, Shangzhu State, and Marshal of the Daxingtai Army in Southeast Province, issued a decree of good governance and exempted the local tax for three years.
