Chapter 6: Illusion
Chapter 6: Illusion
I was caught off guard by the sudden loss of light, and I was even more terrified of the strange old man who suddenly appeared. I was in a state of isolation and helplessness, and then I heard the sound of the wheels suddenly seem to expand several times, and my intuition told me that the old man's wheelchair was coming straight for me.
I didn't dare to think about it, so I pulled up my legs and ran backwards. However, after all, two legs can't run on two wheels, and the wheelchair of the old man I intuitively felt was getting closer and closer to me, and I followed Zhang Hefang's warning, closed my eyes again, and kept reminding myself that all this was just an illusion, since it was an illusion, then, there can be no logical ties between things, these are all fake, I don't have to take it seriously.
As I ran, I suddenly heard the old man behind me snort coldly and said, "As long as you don't stop, there is no end to the road." ā
Although my whole body was constantly running, the old man's voice seemed to echo in my ears, and my scalp exploded, and I did not dare to stop, but just ran forward.
I got more and more tired from running, and after about ten minutes, I began to become out of breath, at which point the old man muttered behind me, "As long as you don't stop, there is no end to the road."
Speaking of this, I felt a little angry in my heart, and said that since all this was an illusion, then I was afraid of something, so I simply stopped suddenly, twisted my waist and abdomen, turned around and roared: "Now that I'm fucking stopping, I'll see if this road is at the end." I said as I swung my fist and slammed it back.
I only heard a "bang", and when I opened my eyes, I saw that the light around me had returned to light again, and I, my punch, actually hit a huge bulletproof glass. I wanted to figure out what was going on, so I opened my eyes and found myself punching the glass case in the museum. However, after I looked left and right twice, I was dumbfounded.
It turned out that I myself was locked up in a glass case in a museum, and the museum was no longer empty, surrounded by many tourists, including the elderly, middle-aged, and children, and I myself was locked in a glass case with a group of bronze figures.
I was shocked, but I was still alone. For a moment, I felt like I had woken up from my illusion. I started banging on the glass case desperately to get the attention of the visitors, and I shouted, "Hey! Help me! Feed! ā
Soon, all the tourists attracted my attention, but, to my despair, none of them seemed to want to save me. They soon gathered around the glass case I was in, and men, women, and children, all began to point at me. I saw no sympathy or concern in their eyes, only mockery and schadenfreude. My dilemma seemed to them to be nothing more than a funny joke.
I yelled, "Hey! Don't laugh at me! Get me out of here! Let me out! Feed! Security guard!!! ā
But my shouts only added more to the jokes of the tourists, and the children looked at me and said to their parents, "Mommy, look, that man looks like a monkey." Instead of accusing them of being rude, their parents laughed at me and said, "This man is so funny, don't do that when you grow up." I also heard many old people pointing at me and saying, "Young people just like to show off and attract others, and they don't listen to the old people and suffer in front of them." Another group of middle-aged people smiled at me and said, "Look at you, you are really embarrassed and thrown home." ā
I did not feel terrible at such a situation, but I felt a sense of shame that I had never felt before, a feeling of sadness and loneliness, I felt like a monkey being exhibited, people did not see me as an equal, their conceit contrasted with my inferiority, I felt angry, I was angry like never before, I tried to smash the glass with my fist, but it turned out to be in vain.
After a while, the security guards of the museum came, and I saw Director Lin and several security guards yelling at me: "This tourist, you have no right to enter here, come out quickly." ā
I exclaimed, "What the fuck do you think I'm going to stay here, let me out." ā
Curator Lin smiled wickedly at me, completely ignoring his previous cowardly appearance, and said to me: "I can let you out, but you have to tell me how you got in." ā
I was stunned and said, "IāI don't know how I got in." ā
As soon as my voice fell, the laughter of the tourists around me became even louder.
I don't know what kind of mentality the people who laughed at me were, but I thought that if I were one of them, I might as well laugh at me, the wretched creature in the glass case.
No way! I shouted in my heart, I can't just be confused by the illusion of nothingness, I have to cheer up, get out of the situation in front of me, I tried to do what Zhang Hefang taught me, I was about to close my eyes, but at this time, suddenly, I found a white shadow in the corner of my eye. Looking closely, I was surprised to find that the white shadow turned out to be Bu Jin.
Bu Jin's movement speed was very fast, and her steps were very light, plus the attention of all the people present was attracted by me, and for a while, no one even noticed the existence of Bu Jin.
Bu Jin noticed that I was looking at her, and she quickly made a silent gesture to me. At this time, I realized that there was an extra bronze long knife in her hand at some point. I saw that she quickly rushed behind Curator Lin, and couldn't help but say, she stepped forward and stabbed the bronze long knife into Curator Lin's body at once.
Suddenly, everyone present stopped laughing, let out a frightened sound, and looked in the direction of Bu Jin together.
Bu Jin didn't hurry, just put his ear to Director Lin's side and whispered, "Broken." ā
Suddenly, my eyes went dark, everything around me disappeared, and the whole person seemed to be in a chaotic time. When I opened my eyes, I found myself leaning against the wall of a corridor in an unknown location, and there was no one else in front of me, only Bu Jin.
"W-What's going on?" I woke up like a dream, and I was still a little confused.
"It was an illusion just now." Bu Jin said lightly.
"I know that," I said, standing up again, patting my buttocks, "and we'll ...... now Is it in the real world? ā
Bu Jin shook his head and said, "I haven't completely gotten rid of it yet." ā
"What about Zhang Hefang?" I asked.
Bu Jin walked forward and said without looking back: "He is proficient in illusion, he should have his own solution, it is estimated that he has left the illusion realm, and now he should be thinking of a way to rescue us." ā
"So what should we do now?" I asked.
Bu Jin said, "Continue to look for the trigger point of the illusion and break it so that we can return to the real world." ā
I suddenly remembered what had just happened, called out to Bu Jin, and asked, "If the world we are in now is an illusion, then what I have just experienced is an illusion within an illusion." ā
"So to speak." Bu Jin said.
"I saw that you killed Director Lin in the illusion, so all the illusions stopped, does this mean that the creator of the illusion is Director Lin?" I spoke my reasoning.
Bu Jin continued to walk forward and said, "Judging from the current situation, this is indeed the case. Let's keep up, if we want to get out of the current environment, we need to find Director Lin in this illusion and kill him. ā
"So you can get out of the illusion?" I asked.
"I can definitely get rid of the illusion in front of me, but I may not be able to return to reality." Bu Jin said.
After I listened, I didn't say anything more, so I followed in Bu Jin's footsteps. However, after walking for a while, I suddenly reacted to something, and in an instant, my cold sweat broke out. Since all this is an illusion in my eyes, then how can I be sure that this Bu Jin in front of me is the real Bu Jin?
