Chapter Seventy-Three: The Order of the Phoenix
A few hours later, at 12 Grimandy Street, the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, Harry was escorted by Lupin and the Mad-Eyed Man, and he looked at the house that had jumped out with some surprise.
His friends and godfathers are here, and Professor Dumbledore is here, and this is the base camp against Voldemort, not only the safest place, but also the place where he can show his skills, maybe he can find a way to expose the liar of Gurris, and then destroy him and Voldemort together.
Upon entering the house, Harry heard a soft hissing sound, and then the old-fashioned gas lamps on all the walls lit up, casting a flickering, unsteady light onto the mottled wallpaper, and illuminating a long, dark corridor with a worn carpet, a cobweb-covered tree-shaped decorative lamp flickering on the ceiling, and old blackened portraits hanging from the curvy walls. Harry heard some kind of opening of the valve on the footboard behind him. Whether it was the tree-shaped decorative lamp or the large candelabra on a rickety table nearby, it was shaped like a large poisonous snake. There was a rush of footsteps in the distance, and Ron's mother, Mrs. Weasley, emerged from behind a door at the far end of the hall. Her face was filled with welcome joy as she hurried to Harry, who found her even more emaciated and pale than the last time she had seen her.
"Oh, Harry, it's a pleasure to meet you!" She whispered and gave Harry a hug that almost broke his ribs, then grabbed his arm and examined it critically. "You look thinner, you need to be more nutritious, but I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little longer before you get to dinner."
She turned to the wizards behind Harry and whispered eagerly, "He's just arrived, and the meeting has begun." The wizards behind Harry let out a cacophony of interest and excitement, and lined up neatly past Harry to the door where Mrs. Weasley had just appeared. Harry tried to keep up with Lupin, but Mrs. Weasley pulled him back.
"No, Harry, this meeting is only accessible to members of the Order. Ron and Hermione are upstairs, and you can wait for them until the meeting is over, and then we'll have dinner. Keep your voice as low as possible in the hall," she added in a final eager whisper.
"Why?"
"Be quiet, Harry, I don't want to wake anything up."
"No, Weasley woman, I mean, why can't I attend that meeting, I want to fight those damn Death Eaters!"
Mrs. Weasley was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, "Okay, Harry, you're still young, let's talk about this in a few years." She touched Harry's head, completely mistaking him for a child.
Harry was about to say something, but Mrs. Weasley interrupted him with a wave of her hand.
"Ron and Hermione will explain to you, dear, that I'm really going to get out of here," she whispered, "there—they're on the second floor,—your room is on the right. I'll call you at the end of the meeting. Then she hurried downstairs again.
Harry walked through the dark landing, turned the doorknob, which was also shaped like the head of a large viper, and opened the door. He briefly surveyed the gloomy, soaring ceiling, which was a double room, and then he heard a loud chirping noise coming from inside, followed by an even louder scream, and Harry's eyes were drawn to the two wide-eyed figures.
"Ron, Hermione, long time no see!" Harry said in surprise.
"Hey! Man, you're finally here! Ron's eyes lit up as well, and he stepped forward and gave Harry a big hug.
However, Hermione's reaction on the other side was a little cold, just said hello lightly, Harry didn't pay much attention to it, since he inadvertently hit Ginny last time, the relationship between the two has been a little estranged, plus Ron also quarreled with her, the relationship between the three is no longer so close, but since she is here, it proves that she believes in herself, it is her own side, and other things are not so important.
"Alright, guys, who can tell us how we're doing now?" After greeting him, Harry asked eagerly.
Ron and Hermione fell silent.
Ron opened his mouth, "It's not very good, the Ministry of Magic hasn't believed us, and the Death Eaters have started to invade the Ministry, so we have had several conflicts with the Death Eaters, my father was injured, and so was Kingsley, but the other party didn't get a good deal, Yaxley was dealt with, and I heard that he also had a lot of status among the Death Eaters-"
"That's it!" Harry nodded, "What about the others?" ”
There was an inexplicable anticipation in his eyes, "Did you find anything about Gurris, did Dumbledore start investigating him?" ”
Ron gave Hermione an embarrassed look, and the latter looked at Harry with some annoyance, "Harry, I said it a long time ago, Guris is on our side, why can't you and Ron trust him?" ”
"But, it's all because of my father—" Ron muttered quietly, somewhat lacking in confidence.
Harry suddenly stood up from his chair, "Let me trust Guris, it can't be!" He sent me to Voldemort last year, so why do you trust him when you already know that Voldemort has returned! ”
Harry shouted at Hermione with some excitement, almost growling.
Hermione was also a little annoyed, and said word by word, "I don't know what Modi did, but Dumbledore chose to believe him, he was also a member of the Order of the Phoenix, and he - right now - is - downstairs!" ”
------
In the conference room downstairs, Mo Wen was thinking about the members of the Order of the Phoenix revealing 'intelligence', and the members of Mad-Eye, Lupin, and Tonks were listening in their seats.
"Voldemort's attention right now is mainly focused on that thing in the Mystic Division, and all the infiltration is focused on this aspect, and as far as I know, the people who have been accused or fallen to their side are Lukewood, Venlore—"
Mo Wen's words were interrupted by a loud knock on the door, and Harry rushed in.
"Harry!" The Weasley woman exclaimed, "Why are you here, didn't I say that only the full members are allowed here?" ”
Ron and Hermione followed behind Harry, and George, Fred, and Ginny, who heard the voice, slipped down quietly.
Hermione glanced at Mo Wen with a complicated expression, while Ginny's gaze was a little evasive.
"Why are you here?" Harry asked in a low voice, he didn't expect to see Guris again so calmly.
"Because I'm a member of the Order of the Phoenix, I'm here to report on my work and visit Mr. Weasley casually, but unfortunately he hasn't been discharged from the hospital yet, and he's injured-"
"That's enough," Harry looked at him, clenching his wand, "You sent me to Voldemort last year, and it was because of you that he was able to come back to life, and you still dare to claim to be a member of the Order of the Phoenix!" ”
Harry's words made the scene embarrassed, and almost everyone's eyes were a little evasive.
"I didn't do it, it was Barty Jr. who pretended to be Moody's, of course, I don't deny that I knew it in advance." Mo Wen's tone was very calm, and he saluted the mad-eyed man, "I'm sorry, although I knew that you were imprisoned early on, but for the sake of planning, I never rescued you." ”
The Mad-Eyed man waved his hand, and little Barty 'fled' after Mo Wen and Harry returned, although he had been imprisoned for a short time, he did not encounter any danger, and he did not care too much.
Harry looked at everyone in disbelief with the look he had already known, and he realized that something seemed to be more than he had expected.
"Why are you doing this! And you all know it! Harry watched the evasive gazes of several men, and something indescribable welled up in his heart.
