In July 2015, I went to northern Xinjiang and traveled in Xinjiang for 20 days. Hami, Turpan, Kanas, Karamay, Urumqi, Sailimhu, Nalati, Bayinbrook, Huoshan, Karez, Grape Valley...... The Ancient City of Gaochang was my last stop before I left Northern Xinjiang.

In the afterglow of the sunset, the deserted ancient city is magnificent and lonely, touching the walls of Buddhist temples thousands of years ago, and the song of local herdsmen

"Playing Boolean" finally made me cry. As a result, the ancient city of Gaochang has become the background of the story of "Underground King City".

I went to the grasslands of Inner Mongolia, also in 2015. The real grassland is a place that feels exactly the same no matter which direction you go, just like the boundless sea, and it is easy to walk and find the way you came.

There is no one to see on the grassland, you can lie on the grass alone, let the shadow of the white clouds slowly flow from the bottom of your eyes, listening to the souls who have been reluctant to give up their homeland for thousands of years, flying in the breeze among the green grass around them, people can't help but want to lie down like this all day.

The story of "Saiwai Dragon City", which is being created, is written about such a place that people can't bear to leave...... The decisive battle of the story takes place in Changbai Mountain, and the tentative title of this volume is "The Battle of Changbai Again".

I went to Changbai Mountain a few years ago, and my memory is still fresh, and my familiarity with the local environment gave me the confidence to write this volume.

At the end of the story, the scene is in Tibet, which is after all the place where my brother was born, but it is also a place I have not been to yet.

In 2017, I plan to stay in Lhasa for a month, photography, sketching, ...... The author has been quietly creating this story and does not want to perfunctory the plot for any reason.

Because, this story is written to Wu Xie and the little brother in my heart...... Everyone, please give me the strength to persevere.
