Chapter 18: Eavesdropping
Chapter 18: Eavesdropping
Now, Frank roamed the surface of Char, wandering this strange, sulphur-rich barren land, hiding in the shadows, weaving through the plains, keeping his head on high alert, carefully avoiding traps and steaming vents. Invisible Frank came to the edge of a large chasm, and he couldn't help but cover his eyes to avoid being hurt by the scalding ash and rocks.
In front of him was a valley, he seemed to have found some signs of life activity, this valley was surging with hot steam and causing air disturbances, the surface of the earth was more blurry than the surroundings, he felt that there were living creatures there, and even saw it, but he couldn't tell what it was, of course, the living creatures on this planet except humans were only gods and bugs. He looked beyond his eyes to see better, but gave up, the steam vents under the valley blurring his vision, and he finally put on his goggles. With this good thing, he can see the disturbing images in front of him more clearly.
It was bugs, he finally saw clearly, he saw under the valley, there were jumping worms, stinging snakes. He also saw the allosaurus, the heat and cold cameras in the goggles were able to distinguish them clearly, and he even saw the thunderbeast in the blurred huge figure. Frank continued to stealthily walk, getting closer, but soon he stopped. He saw a figure emerge from the swarm, and eventually all the insects surrounded the figure like stars and moons. The familiar silhouette, the familiar face, the familiar pace, that was Kelly Gen, or the Queen of Blades. When he saw her, Frank subconsciously stopped, he felt that he should not get closer, it would be a very dangerous move. In the face of this person, he inevitably felt a little weak and empty in his heart.
He hid in the shadows, waiting, listening.
"The cowardice of these Protoss is simply outrageous to me!!" Kellygan almost roared in anger, her face twinkling with a sparkle, "That pathetic little Templar will perish in my wrath. She declared, or swore to herself, her fists clenched, a pair of bony wings stabbing through the air, her knotted hair as hard as iron. I'll find you, little Templar! And then"
"The Empress of Blades!" Her fury was interrupted by a faint voice in the air, and Frank, hiding in the shadows, watched silently, it was a giant king worm, it was approaching her.
"Zaz is dead!" The king worm said to her, and Kelly Root recognized the voice, apparently from another brain worm, which she knew, was Dagoth. An ancient cunning zĂ i.
"Oh? You say Zaz is dead? Kellygan said calmly, her voice soft, her furious demeanor vanishing from her, her hair softening. The pair of bony wings shrank behind their backs, "You said he was dead?" She smiled, baring her sharp teeth, "though I'd love to see it die." But unfortunately, the brain worm is impossible to kill, Dagoss. Kellygan didn't hide her dislike for Zaz in the slightest. I think. She added, "Even if it does die, the Lord will resurrect it, right?" â
Frank couldn't understand what the king worm was communicating with Kellygan, but when he heard Kellygan's words, he instantly understood. Zaz is dead, then Zeratul and they should have successfully completed the assassination mission. He was still hiding around eavesdropping, and he wanted more information.
"Nope! Zaz will not be respawned again. The king worm trembled its massive body, looking excited and restless, and Kelligan felt the horror in Dagoth's tone, which made her look at the huge king worm in front of her with curiosity. It's the Protoss, and they have a new way to attack. "This kind of attack is enough to completely wipe us out, and even affect the Juggernaut himself." â
Kellygan will be skeptical, "It seems, there's something weird. She whispered to herself, "Why do I feel like the Domination is moving away from me!" â
"It's not just you, I feel that way, too." Dagoth distinctly heard her whispering to herself. "You are too young, Empress of the Blades, I have lived for more than a dozen centuries, and in all these years the will of the Lord has been with me, never far away, and now my mind is occupied by emptiness, and my cry has vanished into emptiness before the Lord has answered. â
"So what?" Kelly Root asked rhetorically, one of her bony wings opened again, a pair of yellowed eyes shining with dazzling flames, she glanced at the king worm, full of relentlessness and arrogance, she defied it, "Without the guidance of the Lord, you can't guide your own direction?" It's sad! â
"That's not how the swarm survives." Dagoth replied to her with only one sentence. Kelligan didn't reply, she didn't say yes or no, but obviously, she became very unhappy, although she hated Zaz and even wanted to do it herself, but despite this, she was very angry when she heard the news, and she felt the majesty of the swarm being trampled on and provoked.
"So." She endured the imminent outburst of rage, which made Frank in the shadows feel a strange feeling, and she said, "So, the little Templar has played a ploy to attack all sides!" A cunning little Templar, it seems that I underestimated him. â
"The Zaz colonies have lost their owners and have gone berserk." Dagoth's voice reached Kelligan through the King Worm, adding, "Now, its colony has threatened the main lair. Empress of Blades, you must clear the rampaging hordes of Zaz before we suffer even greater losses, and I will take care of them myself. â
"Nope." Kellygan corrected, and the king worm originally turned and flew away, but stopped because of the words, "I'm going to deal with them personally, especially that little Templar, he's mine." Kelly said.
"We all owe it to us to take responsibility and do our part, my esteemed Empress." Dagorth finally scolded her, and the king worm that faced her seemed to be out of fear, its massive body trembling, and it felt like its life was coming to an end. Sure enough, Kellygan stared at the king worm in front of her, her knotted hair stood upside down, harder than steel, and her yellowed eyes flashed, and her pupils were like two furnaces, from which raging flames of rage churned. The king worm is twitching.
"We must do what the Lord might command, Empress! If he had spoken, it would have been like this. The twitching king worm continued, but the tone was frightened and uneasy.
"All I know is that this is your order, and you are giving me orders?" She continued to stare at the king worm in front of her, and with that, she shifted her gaze, and Dagoth's will vanished from the king worm, and it felt the terrible power of Kelly Gen, which made it startled and angry. And that king worm, after the will of the brain worm Dagoth disappeared, the huge body fell into the valley,
"That High Templar is mine, and I'm going to deal with him with my own hands." She repeated, adding, "It's up to you to deal with Zaz's clan, and you go to deal with Zaz's clan." Then I will find them and make them pay for their actions, dearly. She grinned, words filled with power and unquestioning and absolute obedience.
For a while, tension rippled through the air, and Dagoth didn't respond to her, but apparently, it was an older brain worm that was much wiser than Zaz, "As you wish, Empress!" Dagoth's will was on a stinging serpent, it finally said. It knew that it would be foolish and very dangerous to openly disobey Kellygan's orders, especially in the time when the Lord was asleep. "My colony is near them, and I'll clear out the rampaging swarms." (To be continued......)
