Section 765 Testimony
Witnessing an invasion of insects is equivalent to observing a process of destruction of the world.
This is no exaggeration. In our world, in our army, there are many self-righteous defenders. In the end, they either choose to kill themselves, or they are driven crazy by the purely unilateral massacre that is happening around them. This is not uncommon, and I could casually cite a whole bunch of examples. For example, the 238th Armored Division of the Imperial Wehrmacht stationed in the HG616 space field, the 903rd Heavy Combat Vehicle Regiment stationed in the Hohenzollern Space Field Mine, and the 88rd and 884th Infantry Divisions of the 88th Army stationed in the 55th Space Field. These units are fearsome and formidable, and they all have an enviable record of war between the Empire and the Dark World. However, these soldiers, as well as their commanders, when they received great honors and military exploits, also forgot that there is such a thing as "fear" in the world. It must be admitted that bravery is indeed the most essential quality of a soldier. However, at some point, especially in the face of the Tyranids, retreating and shifting does not mean cowardice, but rather to better concentrate forces and give these alien monsters an absolutely fatal blow.
The 903rd Heavy Tank Regiment once sent back a qiē they saw at the last moment of the battle.
When the invasion began, the sky was red and the air was filled with poisonous spores from bugs. Then, the winged insect vanguard descended from the sky like a black cloud, spreading fear and chaos. Gene stealers everywhere, humans who had been parasitized by bugs and imprisoned in dark corners long ago, began to pour out of their hideouts to attack our commanding lifeline. Meanwhile, paragonims roam the shadows, hunting careless Aborigines and Imperial settlers. These bugs are so cruel that they use their long, sticky tentacles to prey and make it impossible for their prey to break free. Then, with their sucking tentacles, they dig holes in the heads of these hapless creatures, burrow into them, feast on the soft and gentle brains, and quickly convey the information they get about our weaknesses to their kind who crave blood and flesh. Thousands of mold-like sporangia rained down from the sky, bursting open as they hit the ground, like eerie blood flowers, from which sporang out of the eggs of the Zerg warriors and gathered into a huge torrent. Within a few days of the first spores beginning to endense the atmosphere, the surface of the target space was already filled with boiling xenomorphic ecological slurry.
Alien microspores constantly poison the entire space domain, and even the local vegetation is affected by it. When bugs invade, the local vegetation grows at a tenfold or more accelerated rate. In this way, after the invaders have eliminated the defenders of the space domain, more gene clusters can be absorbed. In the second half of the invasion, swarms of ravenous rippers devour whatever they come across, and then head into the strong acid digester with their bulging bodies. Once the space realm has completely fallen, the plundered gene clusters will be transported through the huge capillary tower from the funnel-shaped nozzle back into the mobile organism air sacs that appear directly above space, in the sky of the world in which they are located. The time of the spatial rift depends on the battle course of the Tyranid, and these nutrients are continuously transported back to the depths of the hive that is constantly wriggling in the void. In this way, the large genetic tissue vacuoles and tissue fluids used to make the new Tyrannical colony are continuously produced from the raw materials. These raw materials range from the corpses of the defenders of the Space Realm who have been brutally killed, to a variety of other life forms, all from that once-prosperous world. Now, it's just a pile of unrecognizable flesh and blood.
Even before the invasion begins, the defenders within the space realm must first overcome their despair. Each hive unit has a psionic shielding signal known as a "curved barrier", which makes it impossible for psionic communicators to send a distress signal at all, or even completely block an electronic signal. This allows the Hive Force to isolate and destroy every space area in their path. Ruthless and unstoppable, the appearance of the Tyranid swarm would mean the utter destruction of humanity as a whole, as well as for any intelligent race that inhabits known space.
There is no doubt that the Tyranid swarm is the most rapidly evolving race in the entire spatial realm. The Holy See Biochemical Research Association has spent decades finding many remnants of primitive eggs and shells from different hive units and within various space domains where battles have taken place. We found one? DNA hopping in development allows the Zerg to complete the evolution that other populations would take millions of years to complete in a fraction of the time. This suggests that the Tyranids' "Noun Descendants", or other similar progenitor organisms, located in the Void, are capable of modifying the organizational structure of their offspring in order to correspond to different environments and other life forms. They know how to unravel the genetic code and absorb the newly acquired genetic code that can be used to analyze the means and strength of defenses in the space domain of the target hunt. Then, the bioengineered monster will tear the spatial barrier from the void, descend from the interior of the spatial realm, and clear a qiē obstacle. As long as time is given, the different modifications of the gene pool of each army by insects can converge and merge, thus making the combat effectiveness of the entire race a substantial leap.
The focus of this observation is on the integrity of the biological weapons used by the bugs. At first, these biological weapons were relatively primitive and crude, with bugs using them like firearms. In the subsequent contact, bugs carrying weapons directly implanted in the body began to appear on the battlefield more and more frequently. As for the Zerg warrior species, we no longer have the ability to distinguish which part of their body is the main body? Which part is a weapon? I think we can be sure that the Norn Bug will continue to make more and more improvements to her children to kill the natives of space. Just like they did to us before. A simple guess is that in a few centuries, we may be eliminated in the process of evolution and then pushed into the abyss of extinction.
Personally, there is every reason to believe that the threat from the Tyranid is far greater than that of the Space Demon. Of course, I have no intention of imposing my personal subjective consciousness on others. Both demons and bugs are enemies that we must deal with. I think that this should have been considered long before the Empire began to exploit the space domain and first began to immigrate. The field of space is still unfamiliar to us. While it is extremely useful, our primary enemies are still the creatures of darkness, our closest rivals in the Overworld.
The following notes are a record of the published results of some researchers.
Holy See Society for the Study of Biology, Senior Priest Elder. Garrick:
"Recognizing these Tyranid monsters as ordinary beasts is the deadliest mistake we've ever made. We've observed that the vanguard of the swarm hunts like a herd to clear the way for their main force. We've also seen them use a flood of tiny insects to attract fire. As a result, when their leaders attack, their opponents, our warriors, will be faced with a lack of ammunition. After the massive attack of small insect swarms, the assault insects and beasts in heavy armor formed a column through the narrow strip. In that terrain, even a single assault bug can tear an entire heavy tank company to shreds. Just yesterday, we received some snapshots of the battlefield, where several infantry squads retreating towards the fortified section of Fort Giwanerax were helplessly surrounded and slaughtered by the worms that came out of the ground. These monsters have proven their tactical flair, and they are far more dangerous than the average beast...... No, they are not just beasts, but a special race of extremely high intelligence. ”

The Tyranid is a diverse and dangerous enemy. Only by classifying and identifying each subspecies and purebred of Tyrania can we hope to fully understand them at their roots and use this knowledge to defeat them. Countless Imperial soldiers traded their lives for the valuable information contained in this text. Even now, this information is incomplete. Still, my research concluded at least 73. 3% of Zerg sightings can be used with the help of the chart here, so as to obtain more accurate identification data.
It is important to note that each of the Tyrania populations listed here is highly variable. At one point, the Imperial Institute believed that while some populations could develop a series of variants with unknown details, others had relatively stable genetic frameworks that could be grouped into specific physiological disciplines. This notion has proven to be self-defeating: although a few Tyranid creatures change at a slower rate than the rest of their counterparts, all of them have been able to evolve mechanisms to adapt to the resistance encountered. Because of this, all attempts to classify every Tyrannic creature will be in vain. However, when the bug soldiers are overwhelmed, this common-sense knowledge can always provide more or less help to the front line, such as strategic conception and tactical skills.
The Emperor bless us and shelter those who fight to the death in the frontline space.
Data Sheet, Collective Evolution:
Recently, there have been very few reports of large-scale cannibalism among the sub-units of the Hive Force, which has made everyone rejoice. (This should be a special phenomenon, an anomalous form of alienation.) )
When we consider the end result of any war in which bugs are involved, it is obvious that when a hive army no longer has access to any resources to expand, or anything like that, it will have a surprising result - it will attack another hive force in an attempt to meet its own needs. In our words, it's plundering each other. And it's the most cruel and merciless kind. Tyranids are not picky eaters, and they have always had a habit of eating each other and devouring the corpses of their dead kind. This type of internal struggle usually takes place on the surface of the strata in the space domain. This is the perfect way to decide which of the two hive forces has the stronger components? The use of the survival of the fittest or the law of the jungle can be used as an explanation. When the first qiē is over, the weaker of both sides will be repulsed and eventually slaughtered mercilessly. In between, like all victims of the Tyranid Plague, their bodies will be processed and absorbed by the victorious side's biochemical brood, with no leftovers or waste.
In this way, the biological resources that were destroyed in this seemingly lose-lose conflict are absorbed back without hesitation. In addition, those defeated hive troops, the combat power that was dismantled and absorbed and evolved during the previous campaign will be absorbed by the victorious troops at the cell tissue level, and use these resources to hybridize a new generation of hybrid Zerg warriors who are even more powerful than before.
We are appalled by this. We've never seen anything like this in any known space creature. Even the most ferocious space demon would not make such a cruel and cold-blooded move. But there is no doubt that, regardless of the framework of human morality, such an approach is fully consistent with the benchmark law of resource utilization. It is extremely efficient and virtually eliminates unnecessary wastage. There is no trouble in transportation and time, and both the storage method and the energy gene transformation between each other have been vividly exerted from the root.
Yes, it's more efficient than we ever imagined. If the various relevant departments of the empire can do this, our population will evolve to unprecedented heights. Unfortunately, the moral framework has become an invisible rope that binds evolution, and we may never be able to achieve the high level of organization of the Tyranids. I'm sorry, but this last paragraph is just my personal opinion. The emperor is above, and I really envy them, envy this kind of Tyranid worm that can be highly united, and can contribute its own qiē when needed. They may not have evolved the spiritual theories and guidance needed for civilization, but they have mastered matter, and they are incomparably thorough, incomparably profound.
Note: The gene genealogy of Tyrania shown in the figure below contains unavoidable incompleteness. However, even if all the resources of the Holy See Biological Research Association were to devote all the resources to this project, it would not be possible to obtain a satisfactory result in the study of the genetic structure of the swarm. This has reached the limit of our capabilities. Moreover, all the conclusions drawn from the number jù in the figure below are based on the dissection of the mutilated sample.
Senior Priest of the Holy See Society for the Study of Biology Lus Carrod, succeeding Senior Priest Kinsonster. Rolm (this person has been disfellowship)
Supplement:
I feel that the research of the Luce Carrod members has gone astray. Obviously, not every monster or beast we encounter unexpectedly in the space realm will have a connection with bugs.
Senior Inquisitor Angarimar:
Tyrania is highly variable, with 312 separate subspecies identified to date. Two more variants are still in the process of being analyzed by the Imperial Institute. Results should be available by next week at the latest.
Variants:
More than 212 variants of the Tyranid Warriors have been restored. This kind of warrior battlefield adaptability is extremely strong, and this is far above any other known race of creatures in the space realm.
Based on the above information, it is inferred that some Tyranid creatures have begun to break away from their hive forces (broods) and have successfully transformed into a primitive wild state. Then, without the intervention of the "Norn" descendants, they spontaneously evolved adaptation to the environment. This particular case illustrates one potential possibility for the evolution of bugs. They may need a completely independent living space, rather than relying on the control of the mother or king worm. Perhaps, this is a completely new breeding system, or a new colony independent of the existing king worms and broods. Nesting, or grouping.
By this point, the clipping part of the note has all ended. Su Hao flipped through the yellowed pages and saw the follow-up to the third part of the text on the other side.
Thirty-nine days after the rebellion sparked by the genetic marauders, an advance force from the White Brand Legion entered the space domain and deployed a distribution point and a new teleportation channel in the affected area. At this time, the original base, that is, the defense facilities occupied by the rebels, was basically paralyzed because at the time of the rebellion, the Inquisition troops were severely damaged in the fierce street battles with the rebel forces, and the entire energy system was burned in the fire. Therefore, the operation of the "White Brand" regiment did not have great trouble, and the number of casualties was not large. Legionnaires soon took over the Consulate in the Space Realm, which had been used by the rebels as a temporary headquarters, as well as several major weapons warehouses. Only a small number of fanatical rebels still cowered in turrets and pillboxes, making the last and feeble resistance.
In addition, a large number of gene stealers have also been cleared from the depths of the cathedral and catacombs of the space realm. And this rabble, which called themselves rebels, was completely defeated in a fierce white-knuckle battle in the space material allocation center. Since this battle, the emperor has quickly cleared out all the rebels.
