89. Preparatory Meeting for the Establishment of Shanghai Commune (China)

PS: There was a bug in the last chapter, Chen Duxiu was busy with work at the time, but he actually did not participate in the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and now it has been corrected.

Today, I was so happy to have hit the 47th place in the monthly ticket list and entered the top 50! Keep asking for votes for encouragement!

“…… At present, our army has taken full control of the main urban area of Shanghai in Puxi and continues to expand the occupied area in all directions. To the east, our army had crossed the Huangpu River and controlled Chuansha, Nanhui and other villages and towns in Pudong. To the south, Comrade Hu Tiantao was rushing to Jinshanwei with the Red 21st Division (of which he was the division commander) to prepare for a possible attack on the enemy forces from Zhejiang, and to try to restore contact with the guerrillas in northern Zhejiang.

Since the area around Shanghai was a demilitarized zone under the Songhu Armistice Agreement, the Kuomintang government did not have any military liliang in this area, and the Red Army basically did not encounter fierce resistance...... After the initial purging of reactionary shili in various localities, we are ready to establish as soon as possible with the help of our underground party comrades the Soviet governments at all levels in the villages, and complete the construction of an early warning system in the suburbs of Shanghai in order to deal with the imminent interference ...... the foreign powers."

With the help of the three-dimensional battlefield dynamic map released on the slide projector screen, Fang Zhimin raised a slender stick, pointed to several thick red arrows on the map that radiated from Shanghai, and talked to everyone in the conference room, "...... It is expected that by tomorrow afternoon, that is, at the end of the Zuihou day of this year's Gregorian calendar, in addition to Changxing Island and Chongming Island, which are across the water. We will be able to liberate the whole territory of Shanghai......"

At this point, the Red Tenth Army has basically cleared the suburbs around Shanghai, plus Suzhou, Kunshan and other places that had been controlled before. The population under its jurisdiction is estimated to be more than 8 million, even exceeding the heyday of the Central Soviet District of Jiangxi. If we add to this the newly developed Zhejiang guerrilla zone, then as long as there is a period of respite and digest this new base area, it will not be a problem for the Red Tenth Army to want to sweep the southeast.

Before that, of course, the heroic Workers' and Peasants' Red Army had to repel the counterattack and intervention of the imperialist powers...... Fortunately. In the face of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, which had opened the super-plug, these so-called imperialist powers all seemed extremely weak, so weak that they were pondered by the traversers how to slaughter them.

Subsequently. As the director of the Shanghai Internal Affairs Bureau who had just been hired by the Red Tenth Army, Wang Yaqiao, the "assassination king," reported the results of the two days of hoeing and rape.

-- As the largest bridgehead of the imperialist powers in China, there are quite a lot of intelligence officers deployed by various countries in Shanghai. After decades of operation and accumulation, all kinds of underground shili have also been built to take root. Even if the Red Army defeated the colonial government of the concession on the surface. The network of secret intelligence agents was still large and buried quite deep, and at the slightest disturbance could cause serious problems for the unstable Red Army.

It's a pity that these spies probably can't imagine who they're fighting against this time...... After receiving a written application from the Chinese supernatural agency, the British, French, and Japanese governments cooperated very well to carefully examine their respective secret archives, and then directly sent the chengguan a detailed list of their own country's hidden spies in Shanghai in the thirties of the last century and the address of the secret base. Sold the ancestors of another plane cleanly. And the Americans, after knocking out a "intelligence and information fee" to the Chinese supernatural agency, also sold their ancestors half-pushed and half-sold......

Huh? This kind of everyone drops the festival together. What is the rhythm of the ancestors of global cooperation?

There is no way, for the governments of modern time and space, it is necessary to sell a bunch of dead people who only exist in archives and graves in exchange for the benefits in reality...... Do you not do such a profitable business? Even if it is poked out as a scandal by political opponents, who will believe it?

Therefore, no matter how deep these poor spies hide, they can't hide from the all-round betrayal of their own people...... Wang Yaqiao and his subordinates simply took the list and map and searched for the map one by one, and smashed the intelligence networks of the major imperialists in Shanghai in one go. Even if there are still some peripheral organizations that have not been reported to the relevant departments, as well as small minions that have sporadically slipped through the net, it is estimated that they will not be able to make any big waves.

In the same way, the Chinese side also smoothly dug up the various intelligence stations and contact points arranged by the Kuomintang in the Shanghai concession - I have to admit that the Kuomintang spy work in this era was really rough, even rough to the extent of a layman......

On the contrary, it is Shili, a native of Shanghai, who lurks deep among the people, and it is difficult to uproot it for a while. However, according to Comrade Fang Zhimin's optimistic view, after the construction of the Shanghai Soviet Government, or the Shanghai Commune, is completed and the reform of public ownership of the country's largest city is carried out, the Party's control ability will be able to reach the social foundation, and there will be no place for all these evil shili.

Next, as the founder of the party and the "special guest" of this meeting, Chen Duxiu delivered a lengthy speech with great interest:

“…… As everyone knows, 'the October Revolution brought us Marxism with the sound of a cannon.' More than 10 years ago, when I first came into contact with Marxist ideology and regarded it as a prescription for national salvation and tried to teach it to the Chinese people, the Chinese nation was in the midst of the darkest era of catastrophe in history......

Under the shijie order of imperialist rule, China is the place where all fundamental contradictions are most concentrated and acute: it is the largest commodity market, investment place, and raw material supplier of shijie capitalist shili; It is the most intense place for the main imperialist shili contest in Shijie; It is one of the places where capitalist shijie came into direct contact with the socialist Soviet Union; It was the place where the anti-imperialist revolution in the colonies went deepest; At the same time, the struggle of the Chinese proletariat against the bourgeoisie is most easily sharpened by the extreme brutality of deep oppression and the widespread spread of the revolutionary fire – for example, almost every economic struggle of the Chinese workers can quickly turn into a serious political struggle or even an armed conflict.

Since all forms of imperialist contradictions are concentrated on Chinese soil and are most prone to sharpening, they have created an irremediable economic and political crisis throughout China, resulting in a continuous warlord scuffle, which has prevented the reactionary classes in China from establishing a stable ruling order, but has been collapsing on all fronts, with the result that the working class and the broad masses of the toiling masses have to constantly move towards revolution in search of their own way out.

In fact, on the question of China's way out, the political factions of the time were putting forward their own ideas. The Beiyang warlords who controlled the central government advocated "unification by force," while the local warlords in the provinces demanded "autonomy" or "inter-provincial autonomy." These two opposing propositions are in essence aimed at safeguarding the interests of the warlords of various factions and cannot solve any of China's practical problems. On the bourgeois side, some reformists represented by Hu Shih advocated the establishment of a "government of good people," believing that there was no need to oppose imperialism and overthrow the rule of the warlords, and that as long as so-called "good people" entered the government, China could be saved. As for the question of how these "good people" can enter the government, and whether they can work after entering the government, they cannot answer. Although Sun Yat-sen in the south still adhered to the revolutionary position of democracy, he could not put forward a revolutionary program that could mobilize the masses to rise up in struggle.

It can be seen from this that the prescriptions they prescribe are either useless or harboring evil intentions for China, and they cannot save the country at all.

Under these circumstances, our Party's revolutionary program, rooted in the core interests of the masses of workers and peasants, finally stood out in the fierce competition and won the broadest trust of the masses of the people, in contrast to other politically hypocritical and hollow, or pale and powerless, or absurd and ridiculous ideas.

Although since then, our party has repeatedly made mistakes in the "left" or "right" line, causing countless failures and tragedies that make people sigh, and a considerable part of them is my own responsibility. However, as long as the miserable status quo of the land of China is not changed, and as long as the masses of the people still look forward to the rejuvenation of the nation and the strength of the country, our revolutionary red flag will never fall!

I have always firmly believed that no matter what era we are, we Chinese people are hardworking and wise people. When the country is in purgatory, we must stand up bravely and fight to the death against all the evil shili who try to strangle our nation! And win the event! Then, as described in the Communist Manifesto, we will build a new society free from exploitation and oppression, in which all people can live in peace.

Now, with the help of our comrades from the future, our revolutionary cause has developed by leaps and bounds this month. Shanghai, the largest city in China that gave birth to our party, has been planted with a red flag by us. But this is only the beginning, we have so far greatly harmed the interests of almost all imperialist shili in the whole shijie, making them jump like cats scalded by boiling water!

Next, the reactionary shili of China and foreign countries will inevitably abandon their conflicts for the time being, join hands and use all cruel means to suppress the Chinese revolution, and we must fight them to the end in order to defend the hard-won fruits of victory!

Therefore, I hope that the comrades will not slack off, will not be complacent, and will not be as indulgent as Li Zicheng, who entered Beijing--the establishment of the Shanghai base area is only a clarion call for the beginning of the battle, and an even more cruel and cruel war is yet to come. And this is also an all-round big test. If we fail to pass the test, it means that the help of future comrades is only to pull out the seedlings and help them grow, and we ourselves have no ability to save China at all! (To be continued......)
