When the young woman saw an old man asking, she choked up and said: "The concubine is the daughter of the Yuan family in Shandong, and she has not been harvested for three years due to the drought in her hometown. Instead of decreasing, the government's taxes have increased.

"I can't live in my hometown, and I fled here with my husband Tao Genming. I don't want my husband to die of hunger, and the concubine is seriously pregnant. I have no plan for life, so I cry bitterly. After saying that, he cried again.

When Tao Yuan heard this, he was saddened. I thought: In this wilderness, how can a weak woman survive and become pregnant?

Moreover, her husband's surname is Tao, and the baby in her womb is the root of Tao's surname. The Queen Mother told me to "peach every Tao", she is in trouble, why don't I help her, and it can be regarded as saving the people surnamed Tao from fire and water.

Due to the saline-alkali land, the peach trees did not grow very robustly, so Yuan dug a well in the peach forest, intending to use the well water to improve the saline-alkali land, and at the same time solve the draft problem.
