Closing remarks
I finally finished writing this sequel with trepidation, and to be honest, although this book is only 230,000 words, it is not easy for me to write. After writing my first work two years ago, I had the idea of writing a sequel, but unfortunately, I never figured out how to write it or what to write it. As time passed, I was anxious and helpless. Countless times I sat in front of the computer, but my brain went blank.
The inspiration for this work came from a month before the book was written, a classmate from other places shared with me a case he experienced.
Actually, I don't know if anyone likes this book, and how many people will be willing to read it, because, whether it is the first part of "Crime Scene Code" or this "Crime Scene Code 2". When I was writing, I never organized an outline, and every book was based on inspiration and spontaneous work. The only difference is that the second work has already thought about the entire plot, unlike the first work, even the development of the plot is casual.
My profession is a police officer, a criminal technical police officer engaged in scene investigation and inspection, and Qiu Yu in the book is very similar to the work I do. After many friends around me saw my works, they would invariably think that I was Qiu Yu. Hearing this, I could only smile bitterly, because I neither had Qiu Yu's super analytical and reasoning ability, nor was he as kind and brave. All I can say is that I wish I could be like him.
I'm not a professional writer, and I barely even put pen to paper before I write. I didn't have any writing training, let alone any literary skills, so I chose to write because of a hobby that sparked by chance. Fortunately, at least so far, no one has told me: "Nanjin Gong, what you wrote is a lot of garbage." "So, I'm grateful. However, I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me that, because it motivates me to keep trying and learning.
Every time I write, it is a struggle, a kind of suffering. Because, whenever this happens, I give up almost all of my rest time, give up spending time with my parents and family, and give up spending time with my friends and brothers. Here, I want to express my deep apologies to them, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry for you, I bothered you. Of course, along with it, there is also fulfillment and happiness, and in the process of coding words, my spiritual world is extremely fulfilling, and I find great fun from it.
The original intention of writing the book was based on a belief, a wish, and a dream. My day-to-day job is actually analysis and reasoning, so I personally think that's what I'm good at in books. The cases involved in the book are all real cases that have been adapted, so those analyses and reasoning are combined with the most real side of real police officers. Of course, due to some factors, there are some details that I can only pass over, because it involves leaks. I don't like to imagine wildly, and I don't have the kind of brain-opening skills, I want people to see real cases, real reasoning, and real human nature. Therefore, I chose a way that was easy to understand, a way that everyone could accept, and a way that was within my own ability.
Today, the work has been completed, and I feel both relaxed and greatly disappointed. Each of these works, like my own children, watched them grow up with my own eyes, and in the end, watched them gradually leave.
Here, I would also like to thank all readers and friends, your care and support is the driving force for me to continue to persevere. Here, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! Thank you!
In the future, no matter what happens to me, I hope you will continue to support me, encourage me, and spur me on.
If there is a chance to write again, then we will see you in the future.
