In the thirty-sixth year of Jiajing, Mao Peng was promoted to the post of Shaoqing of Taifu Temple, Yushi of the Imperial Capital, and governor of Ningxia.

During his stay in Ningxia, Mao Peng commanded the construction of 18,500 zhang of the Hengcheng Pavilion Town Wall, repaired the Zhencheng Hedong Zhuying Fort, and captured many enemies in the battle to resist the invasion of the Qingshui Camp by foreign Japanese.

After the war, he led the people to dredge the river and develop farmland irrigation. In the forty-third year of Jiajing, he was promoted to the right deputy capital of Yushi, and the governor of Yanmen and other passes, and the governor of Shanxi and Henan.

The night before, it was the eldest son who went. When he slept until midnight, a strong wind blew and the earth was so violent that it almost swept people away. The boss saw that he couldn't sleep anymore, so he picked up the bed and went home.

The next night, the second child went. When he slept until midnight, he encountered the same scene as the boss, and he didn't sleep until dawn.

On the evening of the third day, it was the turn of the third child, Mao Peng. At that time, Mao Peng was only in his teens. His mother was afraid that he would be frightened, and she was reluctant to let him go alone.

Mao Ze said: "As the saying goes, a blessing overrides a hundred disasters, and if he has that blessing, he can sleep there all night; No, naturally there will be some. However, it doesn't matter if we are a little frightened now, if the house is built and no one can live in it, will our efforts be in vain! ”

I don't have anything else to give you, so just take a few of my lost teeth.'" The old lady said, opening a small red box she had brought with her, and there were only teeth in it. ”

"I saw that she kept it so well, and knew that it must be her beloved thing, so I was embarrassed to take it. But the old lady had to let me take it. The eldest sister next to me also persuaded me: 'Take it, take a few more, it will be good for you.' So I took one. ”

"Later, the big sister sent me out. He also asked me to sit in a large sedan chair carried by eight people. The big sister said to the person carrying the sedan chair, 'This is Master Mao, you have to wait carefully.' I thought it was funny, and when I laughed, I woke up laughing. ”

That was when he thought about it for a day, until the sun was in the west, when he walked to a place called Huangcun, he happened to meet a yellow dog running out and barking at them, and then Dai Shulun touched the scene and came out of the next couplet. Whoever is corrupt and perverts the law, takes a coffin, and goes home on his back. After worshipping, the four of them drank happily and rested as soon as they got drunk.

Among the four people, the others rode high-headed horses, and they were driven out after dozens of miles.

But Mao Peng rode a little donkey, after such a delay, when he arrived at the examination room, the candidates all entered, and the door of the examination room was closed, but the door was not yet bolted.
