Chapter 2: Ellie's Death

She and I both drank a little too much that night, and I finally learned her name - Ellie. What a beautiful name, I think I'll remember it for the rest of my life and tattoo it on my chest. But I didn't tell Ellie about it, I was afraid of scaring her away again.

I took Ellie back to my room, which was my private domain, and I only brought her in except for the landlord, Mr. Kun, who had entered the room to check on the inside.

I wanted her to know more about me, but every time she refused, or even gave me the slightest chance. This time it was different, she took the initiative to walk into my room.

I took the key and opened the door, and she walked in, and then pressed me against the door and kissed me passionately, and we were like lovers who had been in love for many years, and I was so enchanted that if it was a dream, I would never wake up.

But I woke up eventually.

When I opened my eyes, it was already dawn, my brain ached like a moth from the hangover, and I felt exhausted and drowsy, I could barely concentrate on anything, but I remembered the fiery lingering with Ellie last night.

I would like to kiss my beloved woman to say good morning to her and formalize my relationship with her, I firmly believe that this will be the beginning of our beautiful and happy life.

She slept unusually quietly next to me, unresponsive to my gentle calls, and I tried to kiss her, only to find that her lips were stiff and cold, and her face was as pale as a concrete wall.

I vaguely knew what was going on, but I still couldn't believe it, and I lifted the quilt over her. The bright red blood that flowed from her body had soaked through the sheets and duvet covers, burning my eyes like flames from hell.

The woman I loved, died beside me, and while I was sleeping, the fresh blood had already coagulated.

Her body lay flat, her chest cavity had been cut open, revealing all the severed ribs, and the heart that had been stored in her chest was gone, and a red rose as delicate and bright as blood was placed in the place of the heart.

Her hands were placed in front of her chest as if in prayer, and in her crossed hands she held the blood-stained thorny branches of roses, which pierced her fingers to the ground. The killer seems to want to express her resentment and jealousy.

I stroking Ellie's no longer soft face, unable to believe that this was the real thing, the cruel reality crushing it again after I was happy. But I had to accept this reality.

I dug my fingers deep into my hair and tugged hard on my scalp, as if it would ease the pain and panic in my heart, but it was all in vain.

I knew it was her, the mysterious suitor, who did it. I could never have imagined that this would happen, a forgotten danger that killed my lover! But why did she keep me, because jealousy and revenge wanted me to suffer and torture, or did she simply hide in the shadows and stare at me silently, watching my life?

I realized that she had started to violate and was trying to manipulate my life while I knew nothing about her. It was like an all-pervasive darkness that enveloped me tightly and suffocated me.

I hugged Ellie's corpse and wept like a mindless psychopath, and I swore I would avenge her by chopping the damned murderer into mashed meat and feeding it to the dogs. I felt like I had become a monster filled with grief, all my love and affection had died with Ellie, they had been destroyed and crushed by the cruel murderer.

I calmly cleaned up the mess on the bed, and with a heavy heart, I dismembered Ellie's body and put it in the refrigerator in pieces. I will eat her body and become one with her, and she will live forever in my body, witnessing the moment of vengeance with me.

However, just as I was cutting Ellie's thigh and preparing for lunch, the doorbell rang unexpectedly, and I had no intention of stopping, so I had to put down my work and open the door.

Outside the door stood my landlord, Mr. Kun, with a box of pizza in his hand and a smile on his face, looking very happy.

"Don, you know what, it's my birthday." Kun said to me, "So I want to invite you to the birthday party in the evening." He pointed to my room across the door. It was held in the same room where I lived. ”

Who cares when your birthday is! My love just left me! I now even want to pull him by the collar and throw him to the floor and beat him up, his smile is like a pinprick in my eyes.

"What's wrong with you, so much bloodshot eyeballs?" He suddenly noticed my abnormality, gradually put away the smile and pleasure on his face, and carefully observed my expression: "I'm sorry, you are ...... What happened? ”

"Yes." My heart was full of grief and anger that I had nowhere to vent, and I thought that the room he rented to me couldn't even stop a murderer, and he should be held responsible for Ellie's death, so why could he laugh at this time? My expression and tone were as cold and sharp as a knife blade, and I was unrelenting: "My love has just lost her life, so I can't be happy about your birth." ”

Hearing my words, Kun showed a sad expression in response, and he said in a sincere tone, "I'm sorry, I didn't know about this......" He looked at my face, and I saw a little confusion in his eyes.

I know what he's wondering, I've never told anyone that I have a lover, and I even act like a bachelor everywhere, but that doesn't mean I don't, does it?

Even though I am extremely sad and angry now, I still try to control my emotions and not let them get out of hand. I can't kill Kun because I'm going to have to change places as soon as he dies, and there are so many memories of me and Ellie that I can't leave here.

"It's fine." I tried my best to be calm and generous, and said to him, "But I'm afraid I won't be able to attend tonight's party, and I haven't been able to adjust to my mess yet." ”

"It's a pity, but I can understand your pain." Kun tried to comfort me by pressing a palm on my shoulder, but he forgot that he was still holding the box of pizza in his hand, so he had to give up halfway and awkwardly handed the box to me: "Uh...... This is...... Gift. ”

Although I couldn't understand why he gave away pizza for his birthday, it was probably just his personal preference, so I accepted it, politely dismissed him, closed the door and went back to the kitchen to throw the pizza in the trash.

I enjoyed a fine lunch, spent an afternoon cleaning the room, and got a locksmith to change the locks. Mr. Kun was puzzled when he saw this.

I explained to Mr. Kun that I suspected that a thief had entered my room because I had lost some things, which fortunately were not very important, and took the opportunity to ask him if any suspicious people had recently appeared near me.

He shook his head and said that everything felt normal these days, but agreed to my request to change the locks anyway, and kindly told me that if something happened or if I had any difficulties, I could come to him, and he was right across the door from me and was always happy to help me.

I wish he would have kept an eye out for me on the people who often linger in front of my door or sneak around, because I'm afraid that my home will be burglarized again while I'm away from work.

Mr. Kun answered.

After doing this, I submitted my resignation to the company because I had to have plenty of time to concentrate on finding the person who killed my lover.

I suspect that the mysterious suitor might be my reader—I'm an amateur novelist who writes suspenseful mystery novels that vent my inner desires and thoughts—and I don't know any other way to make a stranger fall in love with me, and I don't look or have an outstanding temperament. So, I'm going to write an article based on Ellie's story and post it with hints so that she, who understands the story, thinks something can happen between us, and waits for her to contact me hopefully. She took Ellie's heart, and I must get it back from her.

I know that the news of a person's whereabouts is usually not realized until ten days and a half months later, and their disappearance will not be picked up by the police until some time later, at which point the police may be able to follow the clues to the bar where Ellie and I were drinking.

The bartender at the bar had been staring at Ellie with lustful eyes, and I glared at him viciously and told him to get out, and I can still remember how frightened he was, so I think he must have remembered Ellie's appearance and the way I looked next to her.

He's going to tell the police about it and describe me as a vicious thug, and then the police will come and investigate me according to the criminal investigation process, so before I can get rid of all traces and clean up.

You know, there will always be some people in the world who like to take their exaggerated and false imaginations as objective facts, not only to believe in them, but also to deceive the whole world.

You've seen people like that, so you can understand the idea that they want to shut up right away, preferably forever, and never spread those viral rumors again, right? Obviously, some of the problems are not entirely our fault.

There were recent news reports that there was a serial killer in the city who specialized in attacking women, and I didn't want the police to misunderstand me because of any marks left in the room.
