Chapter Seventy-Three: School
It was arguably the most pleasant day they had ever had since they arrived in Timai Town, and the nerves of the people could not help but relax after the exhausting event in the garden. Even though they had only been trapped in the garden for 2 days, the fear of the unknown and the nervousness of their spirits still made them feel as if they had been tired for a long time.
Kyild, awakened by Bianco, who had not exhausted much energy, opened his eyes with a headache and helplessness, grabbed Bianco, who was pressing on his quilt and didn't know what to do, and pressed her by the shoulders and pressed her to his side.
"Maybe you have a lot of energy, but others get tired." Kyild sighed and said, "Alright, silly girl, is it so hard to let me rest for a while?" β
Biancole struggled to lift her head from the pillow, but her body was still lying on the covers. She pouted unhappily and looked at Kyild accusingly.
"The young master is excessive!" Her eyes widened, "I'm going to suffocate!" β
Kryld covered his mouth and yawned, he lay lazily on the bed, not even wanting to give the girl another look.
"Okay, I know you've learned the word 'suffocation.'" He said perfunctorily, "Who taught you?" β
"Rano." Bianco, who was immediately taken away from the topic, replied obediently, "Rano said that Wokan sometimes suffocates her, and I asked her what she meant, and she said that there is no way to breathe, and being out of breath is 'suffocation'." β
"Not bad."
Kylde yawned again, and he sobered up a little from the conversation with the maiden and the two yawns, and subtly tasted something else from Bianco's words. At first, he thought that Lanoda was using an exaggerated metaphor for his inability to stand Wokan's stupidity, but ...... Thinking back to the conversations they had had before, he couldn't help but wonder if the woman who had clearly been led astray by Wokan had some kind of allusion.
"Don't make me think you're not grown up, Bianko, get up, don't press my quilt."
Kyild drove Bianko away in a non-threatening tone, but the latter didn't care, she just sat up and pulled the quilt she was holding onto.
"The young master has changed his name." Bianko looked a little disappointed, "You used to call me Biya." β
But her disappointment vanished immediately, and Bianko leaned over as if she had discovered something interesting, and leaned over to Kyird's head.
"Young Master, your ears are turning red." The girl said seriously, "Are you okay?" Are you sick? β
In annoyance, Kyild lifted the quilt and, at Bianco's exclamations, covered her with the quilt, even rolled her up, and threw her back on the bed.
"Now it's as you wish, silly girl." He complained, "I'm going to get up." β
He moved his muscles and bones into the inner room, leaving Bianko alone to fight with the quilt.
It was already late afternoon when they were able to go out, and it was obviously not a good time to visit anyone, so they simply went about their own business and waited until daylight the next day to go to Ogani.
Kryder walked aimlessly down the street with Bianco, just to keep the girl from being overwhelmed by the too much food he ate at night, so he wanted to take her out for a walk to kill her food, and to pass the time before going to bed. However, they had visited almost all of the bustling areas of Timai Town, and there didn't seem to be anything worth spending too much time outside.
"Today's homework is so difficultβ"
The crisp whining of a child reached his ears, which attracted Kyrd's attention. He looked over to the source of the sound, and several children were standing by the snack stall with their backpacks on their backs, chatting as they ate.
"I'll only do the arithmetic part." A little girl with a ponytail said dejectedly, "But I don't know how to write poetry." β
"I'll only be able to do the basics of mechanics." The little boy sighed old-fashionedly, "I don't understand the arithmetic either...... But the teacher said that they have a relationship, and if I want to make a good mechanism, I must learn arithmetic well. β
"Let's each do what we do best, and then show it to others, right?" A short-haired girl who looked energetic said, "Anyway, if you change the content, the teacher won't know that it was copied." β
"The teacher will know...... The last time I was in Class 2, I was discovered by the teacher, and they have changed a lot. β
"Because the teacher knows that there are some questions that we don't know how to do at all."
Several children drooped their heads at the same time.
"Young Master, what are they talking about?" Bianko also poked her head out at them, and asked Kylde in a low voice, "'Schoolwork'?" And 'arithmetic' and 'poetry'? So what are they? β
Kryld withdrew his gaze from the children and looked softly at Bianco.
"It's a course that kids are going to learn." "When children reach an age where they can walk independently, talk to others, and dress themselves, they go to school," he whispered. The classes taught in each school are different, and the town of Timai is characterized by institutions, and their schools will pass on this characteristic from generation to generation. β
"Does every child go to school?"
"Yes." Kyild nodded, then paused for a moment before continuing, "Except for special circumstances, such as when I was a child, I have been studying at home, and some nobles will choose to keep their heirs at home for training. β
"Oh......" Bianko nodded understandingly, "but there will be a lot of friends in the school, right?" β
"If you're talking about peers, yes, just like those kids."
Kyild took another step, but this time he had a clear goal.
They walked into the stone-paved green path, and the evening breeze blew gently across the cheeks of the people. The temperature at night is not as hot as during the day, and the fresh air fills them around them surrounded by trees, which makes people feel refreshed.
Bianko stepped on the stones carefully, as if she were playing some game, allowing herself to step on only the large rocks, jumping forward and jumping.
The light pink skirt made waves with the girl's movements, and the white flowers on the skirt seemed to float around Bianco, which made Kylde sigh once again that he had made the right decision to buy clothes for the girl. Bianko now looks like a girl of her age, and although there are still many things she doesn't know much, it's good to have a curious heart and know to ask him for answers.
"Oops-"
The unsteady girl finally lost her center of gravity on the stone unexpectedly, and Kyild caught her crooked body in the next second and held her in his arms.
"Maybe it never makes sense to preach to you, and you can only remember the lesson by experiencing the pain of a fall yourself." Kyild said sarcastically, "Shouldn't I pick you up next time?" If you just fall like this, you'll never walk like this again. β
Bianco's eyes widened, and she simply grabbed Kyelde's clothes and refused to get up.
"Young Master can't do this to me." The girl snorted dissatisfiedly, "If I'm hurt, our trip will slow down again." β
Kyird raised an eyebrow high, and he gently pinched Bianko's chin to lift her face, then carefully looked left and right.
"From whom did you borrow the guts?" He said slowly, "How dare you threaten me? Well? β
He could clearly see the girl's flattering smile.
"No, I won't threaten the young master." Bianko winked innocently, "How could I? β
The corners of Kryd's mouth twitched slightly, and a grim smile pulled out.
"Well, how about I pick you up and throw you down now?"
Biancole hugged Kyild, burying her face in his arms and shaking her head back and forth.
"Don't, don't." The girl's muffled voice came out of his chest, "It hurts, I don't want to fall." β
"Then give me a normal walk." Kayld easily lifted Bianko out of his arms and placed it on the ground, "I'm not going to be kind enough to catch you every time." β
Biancole pouted, shook her head and ran two steps forward, then marveled at the sight in front of her. The girl's temper always comes and goes quickly, which makes Kyild often feel like he is taking care of a child.
"Young Master, look!" She turned back to Kyild and held out her hand, "It's so beautiful here!" β
Kyild took the warm little hand and strode over to Bianko's side, then looked in the direction she was staring. In front of us is the school in the town of Timae, where many kinds of trees are planted, and when the breeze blows, some leaves and white flowers fall from the trees, creating a beautiful scenery.
"Where is this?"
"This is the school." Kilde looked down at the girl beside him, "Do you want to go in and have a look?" β
Bianko's dark eyes lit up in an instant.
"Is that okay?"
Kayld didn't answer her directly, just took her hand and walked towards the school gate. A few young men in their twenties were checking the school gate and shouting at the students to hurry home.
"Who are you, parents of students? Oh...... No, you're a foreigner from a while ago, aren't you? A thin middle-aged man looked at them for a moment, and then showed a kind smile, "Now that the students have finished school, do you want to come in and visit?" β
"Yes." Kyild nodded, "May we go in?" β
"Well...... We can't do it here. The man pushed his glasses on the bridge of his nose, "Today is not an open day, except for students and school staff." But you can go to the other one, which is where the older kids go to class, and the older kids are when they should be dealing with other people, and our kids here are so young that it's always easy to bump into themselves. β
Kyild understood the man's euphemism, children have no ability to protect themselves, they should not come into contact with strangers casually, of course, he can also understand this kind of rule, and the same is true of the schools in the capital. Fortunately, the school opposite has an equally beautiful view, which will not disappoint Bianko.
The girl's face was amused by the disappointment and then the surprise of the girl, and although she should have exercised her ability to control her emotions, he did not want to mention it in a bad way now.
"Let's go."
