Chapter 33: The Baby
After Kyild's departure, Hua Shao repeatedly assured Bianko that this time it would only take up two days of their time, and that when the out-of-town people returned, the family's plans would be stabilized, and there would be no need for people to travel to the ruins or the branch of Roseos frequently.
Hua Shao seemed to be hinting that they would have relatively quiet time for themselves, and although Bianko doubted that she would be able to do it, it was better than no hope. It only took a few minutes for the girl to decide to take herself for a walk around Morfi's base, accompanied by Rosier, of course.
A girl named Elianne also joins Rocsille and accompanies her as she explores every corner of Morfi. The white-haired girl always kept her shyness, and only responded when she took the initiative to talk to her. However, this does not mean that she is hostile to Biankom, as she is always patient and meticulous in answering any questions that Biankom raises.
"Bianko, have you never been to Lord Otzla?" Rocsille asked lively, "I know you've been to the Ryan family's territory with Mr. Nobil, but not to the rooms where Master Sanger and Master Otzra live, right?" β
"Well, what's going on there?" Bianko looked at her cautiously but curiously, "Kay said it would be rude to go into someone's house without their permission, so we didn't go. β
"It's true, you don't usually go to the leaders' rooms." Rocsil scratched her head, "But it's not the same lately, Lord Otzra gave birth to a baby some time ago. I had heard that Paoda - the baby's name - had been in a weak state since birth, and Mistress Sanger had been watching her closely, but Lord Reins had helped take care of the child, so Mistress Otzla welcomed everyone to visit her. β
"Can I go see her too?" Bianko's curiosity was piqued, "I haven't seen a newborn child yet." β
"Absolutely." Rossiel looked excited, "How about it, Ellie, let's go together?" β
The white-haired girl nodded obediently, and seemed to be looking forward to getting close to a newborn.
"However, I thought they didn't have a good relationship." On the way to the Ryan family, Biancole said in confusion, "The leader of Rhines and Ryan, I always feel that they don't like each other. β
"That's right." Rocil grimaced, "Lord Sanger used to not trust Lord Reins, Lord Ozra was still pregnant at the time, Lord Sanger did not want Lord Reinss to be close to Lord Otsla, and arranged for many guards of the Ryan family to guard Lord Otsla. But Lord Otsla didn't care about that, she trusted Lord Reins not to hurt her - it turned out that Lord Reins did not do anything to her, but tried to protect Lord Otsla as well. β
Rose's succession of "Your Excellency" and "Excellency" confused Bianco, and it took her a considerable amount of time to understand what Roseel had just said.
"You say 'ever'? Does Ryan trust Rheins now? β
"Well, in fact, Lord Sanger has long believed in Lord Reins, but he can't pull down to admit this." Rocil smiled and said, "Otherwise, Lord Sanger would not be willing to let His Excellency Rhine touch the little princess of the Ryan family." β
Bianko nodded approvingly, although she herself could not understand the child, but if her mother was sick, she would not let someone she could not trust to treat her mother.
Aimless chit-chat makes time fly by, and before they know it, they are in the Ryan family's area. It wasn't until they stood in the doorway of a room that was not luxurious, but distinctly different from the others, that Bianko realized that they had reached their destination.
"Won't they stop us?" Biancole asked Rossile worriedly, "And should I have asked in advance?" I'm not from Molfi-Fili, so I'm ...... straight here."
"Don't worry." Rossile patted Bianko on the shoulder, "If you can't come, we'll be notified." And since we walked into the Ryan family's area, someone had already reported it, and since they didn't stop us, it means that Master Otzla is waiting for us to enter. β
Biancole blinked, and Rossile didn't give her time to hesitate, and pushed open the low-key and elegant wooden door in front of her. There was a man standing by the wall in the door, and before she could see what the other man looked like, Rocsille stepped forward in high spirits, put her hand next to her head, and made a playful salute.
"Lord Otzla!"
The man who had been facing them turned back, and it was a tall woman, her hair shining brightly in the sun. Biancole couldn't help but take two steps forward before she realized that it was a gentle misty gray.
"Roselle, Elianne." She greeted them softly, "You're Bianco, aren't you?" Sanger and Rhines have told me about you, guests from the Demon King Continent, and now our companions. β
Otzla smiled and stepped aside and poured three glasses of water from the table's kettle.
"I'm sorry, but we haven't had a drink other than plain water in our room for a long time." She handed the three glasses of water to them one by one, expressing sincere apologies, "Sanger thinks that neither the drink nor the tea is good for my body, although I don't think I'm that fragile, but ...... It is also a pleasure to enjoy the care that comes from him. β
She blinked her pale green eyes slyly, amazingly, and even though Ozra looked like a cat that had stolen a fishy cat, she still looked soft and wanted to be close.
"That's right." "Lord Sanger has always had more love and care for Lord Otzra than we imagined. β
Otzla covered her mouth and chuckled softly as she made way for the three girls and put the crib by the wall into their field of vision.
"I think you're here to see Ouda." "She's such an attractive girl," she said lovingly, "at least I never expected so many people to visit this room." β
"That's because Master Sanger doesn't like us to disturb your life." "But not now, the lovely Paoda is enough for us to ignore Lord Sangor's glare. β
Rosier took Elion and Biancole two steps forward, and she lay reverently on the side of the bed, quietly gazing at the sleeping figure in the cradle-like cot.
"She's like a little angel." She whispered, "What do you say? β
Elion nodded, and Biancole looked at the little man she had never seen before. She knew that everyone had grown from a little baby to the present, but she really hadn't seen a real, living baby.
"She's really sweet when she's asleep." Otzla walked to the bedside, put her hand on the guardrail around her, and looked at the little baby lovingly, "But when she's crying, you think it's torture." β
Ozra reminded Bianko of another of her friends, yes, both Rosette and Otzra possessed a gentle quality, as if that was the word at their core. But there is something different about Ozra and Rosette, and she still doesn't know what the difference is.
Bianko looked at Paola, then at Ozla, and she suddenly realized what she had been toldβthat every newborn was born by their mother, and that they were all in their mother's body before they were born. Even though this little baby looks so soft and petite, it ...... In the belly of a person? It was hard for her to imagine what it was like.
When Biancole asked about her doubts, Ozra blinked, and smiled knowingly as if she understood something.
"When she's in your belly, that's really going to make you suffer." "Actually, quite painful," said Otzra, mildly, including the process of bringing her into this world. I'm not going to glorify it, because that would just make you unprepared for it. But...... When I see her, I feel like it's all worth it. β
Seeing that Bianco's hesitation and a hint of fear were on her face, Ozra added to her words.
"Of course, there is a way to change a little bit of the pain of the process." She squinted and laughed, "Although the pain that the child brings to you will not make a difference, but your psychological feelings will be different. For example, when you suddenly want to eat something in the middle of the night that you don't have in your room, there is a big difference between a considerate husband and a lazy husband. If your husband loves you very much, he will find a way to meet all your requirements β I'm not saying that he doesn't love you if he doesn't meet your requirements, after all, there are special circumstances in everything. β
Otzla's statement was a bit esoteric to Bianko, and she was a little confused for a moment. So Bianko turned her gaze back to Paoda, her carefree little face allowing her to relax and sink into her own thoughts, thinking about things that were easy to get tangled up.
She still didn't know what it was like to have a child in her womb, especially when everyone around her admitted that it was painful but didn't go into details. She knew that she would go through this process, not to mention the need for an heir for the Nobel family, and she also hoped that she and Kyld would have children with the characteristics of both of them, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't be afraid of all the unstable elements in the process.
"Oh!" Rosel's exclamation sent Biancole out of her thoughts, "She's awake!" β
As Rosier had said, the little baby had opened her eyes at some point, and the round eyes of her mother, the same color, were looking at them, and they looked so cute.
"I know she's so young she can't see us." Elianne whispered, "But I still feel like she's watching us." β
Bianco's felt the same way, not so much that Paoda was watching them, but that she wished she did. Being watched by a pair of clear eyes is as comfortable as if your soul can be cleansed.
"You can come and see her often." Ozla's voice rang in Bianko's ears, "This might help you sort out some of your confusion." β
Biancole turned her head to look at the woman with maternal radiance, and Ozra took her daughter out of the bed and gently stroked the tiny face with her fingers. This heartwarming scene seemed to touch something in the bottom of her heart, at least, Bianko felt for a moment that those unknown fears were not as terrifying as she imagined.
