Prologue: Disaster strikes
When humans become the masters of the continent, other living beings can only sigh silently. While humanity is dying, other creatures are not happy. In the face of the current situation in the Andra continent, there is only one enemy of all life, and that is the Apostles.
I don't know when a plant called the Tree of Birth began to grow in all corners of the continent of Adela, and people never paid attention to this large tree that resembles a banyan tree but can grow up to 30 meters tall. Until one day the tree of birth begins to bear fruit, and the ignorant people even celebrate the colorful dazzling, thinking that the fruit under the flowers that shine day and night may be the elixir of human life. Beautiful flowers bloom but disaster.
Countless ugly-looking monsters have burst out of their shells from the fruit, they feed on humans, and we, who were once at the top of the biological chain, are powerless in the face of sudden disasters. In just a few months, the flames of war have burned across the entire continent, and the walls of humanity are vulnerable to those monsters, and human life is nothing more than ants in their eyes. Human weapons and magic have little effect on monsters. The village was ruthlessly ravaged, and the corpses were scattered all over the ground, making it impossible to tell which human organs they were. Blood soaked the earth, and all the soil, whether black or yellow, was dyed the same red. Humanity is facing extinction.
For a while, human beings began to believe that this was God's punishment for mankind, and that the monster was the "apostle" sent down by the gods, and they began to pray to the gods, praying that they could leave the last hope for mankind. But the gods did not seem to hear the repentance of the humans, and the apostles' offensive became more and more fierce like a tidal wave.
Panicked humanity gave up its old grudges and began to unite. They rose up against it, all for the sake of survival. Finally, the humans at the northern tip of the continent have found a habitat that the apostles can't reach - Ammil, Amir is the largest city in the north of the continent, the city is surrounded by mountains, and only two levels in the north and south can be passed. Surrounded by mountains and vast plains, Ammir is located in the middle of the plains. Here, the natural lute is coiled in the mountains and is difficult to escape. The natural Lute has a direct influence on Ammir's climate, making it spring-like all year round, with abundant water and grass and lush trees. It's a paradise. In this world, people need Lute to activate all abilities, magic, combat skills, etc., and Lute is equivalent to energy. Lute is divided into two categories, one is acquired through practice and self-training, which is called intrinsic Lute. There is also a kind of lute derived from nature, which is called green lute because of its fixed green color.
There is a mysterious substance hidden in the mountains here, and the great Luke and his sacrificial team have used this substance to develop a barrier that can shield the apostles from detecting, and even prevent them from entering—the Light of Hope. From afar, the entire Ammir region is shrouded in a mysterious light, and Ammir is like the last habitat of humanity under a huge cage.
But even with the means to resist the apostles, many humans would not survive. Since the light of hope fell, the Anmir region has seen a large influx of refugees, and the scarce supplies are not enough to support the lives of 200,000 people. Many refugees faced the unfair distribution of goods and hierarchies in the royal family, and the continuous conflict began to intensify.
Under pressure, King Ohagen instituted a number of oppressive regimes, including the mercenary group system. and the three expeditions ten years ago, known in history as the "Three Great Expeditions". The so-called expedition was ostensibly a war against the apostles, but in fact it was to reduce the population, and the king gave some preferential treatment to the poor to go on the expedition. Oha simply did not expect anything from these poorly equipped, untrained, and low-powered poor people.
But what everyone didn't expect was that on that dark night, a month after the third expedition, ten figures supporting each other stood in front of the towering Beiguan City Gate. It was only then that the heroes were seen, who felled down the cedar, the nearest tree of birth to Ammir. This is the first time that humans have cut down the Tree of Birth, and the only one in the next decade. The news instantly spread throughout Amir, and all the people were overjoyed. Humanity is capable of competing with the apostles, and the names of the ten heroes who survived from the 150,000 corpses were engraved in people's minds for a while. It became a song sung by people. To be the true light of hope in the hearts of mankind.
Our story also begins after this decade.
