Chapter 551: Manuscript of Buddhist Sutras

After putting the Buddha statue into the storage space, Yang Jing began to sweep the tomb.

Within a few minutes, all of these gilded bronze Buddha statues, which were priceless treasures in later generations, were put away by Yang Jing. It is worth mentioning that the eighteen Buddha statues with different images in the middle of the one hundred and eight Buddha statues are even heavier after starting.

Although they are the smallest, they are the heaviest, and there is no doubt that these eighteen Buddha statues are not gilded, but made of pure gold.

Although pure gold Buddha statues in Chinese history are rare, especially the older the age, the rarer they are, but after all, this is the only mausoleum built by the empress for herself since the beginning of China, and these Buddha statues are all funeral goods arranged by Wu Zetian for himself, with the richness of the Wu Zhou era, not to mention the appearance of eighteen pure gold Buddha statues here, even if these one hundred and eight Buddha statues are made of pure gold, Yang Jing will not feel rare.

These eighteen Buddha statues are all statues of the Buddha, some are smiling, some are closed and meditating, anyway, the shapes are different, and at first glance, it looks like the bald brother Guo Jing is beating the eighteen palms of the dragon......

After sweeping this tomb, Yang Jing did the same and opened another sealed tomb.

This tomb shocked Yang Jing even more, because when Yang Jing figured out what the burial goods in this tomb were, he immediately realized that the burial goods in this tomb were definitely worth far more than those gilded bronze Buddha statues from that point of view.

Because all the places in this tomb are translated hand-copied Buddhist scriptures!

At first, Yang Jing didn't know what was in the many pale yellow brocade boxes placed on top of several huge stone tables, those brocade boxes had faded a lot due to time, and they must have been bright yellow when they were first put here. But after nearly 1,500 years, even if the tomb is airtight, the color of these bright yellow brocade boxes has dimmed a lot.

When he opened one of the brocade boxes, Yang Jing realized that the hundreds of brocade boxes contained hand-copied Buddhist scriptures.

It's like the Buddhist scripture in his hand, it turned out to be a hand-copied volume of the "Great Prajna Sutra"!

The Great Prajna Sutra is a Buddhist scripture, and its full name is the Great Prajnaparamita Sutra, referred to as the Prajna Sutra. The Mahayana Prajna Sutra that was first introduced into China was the Eastern Han Dynasty Zhu Buddha Shuo and Zhi Lou Jiayu translated the "Prajna Tao Xing Pin Sutra" (later titled "Tao Xing Prajna Sutra") 10 volumes (equivalent to the fourth meeting of this sutra), known as "Xiao Prunya".

Since then, Wu Zhiqian, Zhu Shixing and others of the Three Kingdoms have retranslated this scripture one after another, and Kumarosh retranslated the 20,000 verses of the "Maha Prajnaparamita Sutra" in the sixth year of the Later Qin Hongshi, and translated the 8,000 verses of the "Maha Prajnaparamita Sutra" and the "Vajra Prajna Sutra" in the tenth year of Hongshi.

It was not until Master Xuanzang in the early Tang Dynasty, that is, the prototype of Tang Seng in "Journey to the West", went to Tianzhu to learn the scriptures, and then brought back to China the three Sanskrit texts of the complete "Great Prajna Sutra" with a total of 200,000 verses, and took his apprentices to personally translate this scripture.

Wu Zetian Venerable Buddha, the appearance of so many gilded bronze Buddha statues in the tomb just now is enough to prove this, and now there are so many burial Buddhist scriptures in this tomb, it is naturally not surprising.

However, these Buddhist scriptures made Yang Jing's heart bloom. Because Yang Jing knew through the answers given by the holy precepts that these Buddhist scriptures were not only extremely precious hand-copied Buddhist scriptures, but also that the people who copied the Buddhist scriptures were all calligraphers in the early Tang Dynasty and the Wu Zhou era.

For example, the set of "Great Prajna Sutra" in his hand turned out to be compiled and copied by Ouyang Xun, the head of the four families in the early Tang Dynasty. If it weren't for the Holy Ring, it would be impossible to give the wrong answer, Yang Jing really couldn't believe that the volume of the "Great Prajna Sutra" in his hand turned out to be the true work of that master.

With such a complete "Great Prajna Sutra" and Ouyang Xun's authentic work, the value of this "Great Prajna Sutra" is greater. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is priceless.

This thing is not an inscription, let alone a rubbing or a copy of descendants, this is the true work of Ouyang Xun, and it is also a complete set of "Great Prajna Sutra"!

It is said that a page of Song Shu is one or two gold, but if Song Shu is compared with Tang Shu, it will be far worse.

Since Bi Sheng invented movable type printing, Song books and Ming books have been called rare books, and the only remaining fragments of the Tang Dynasty are all manuscripts.

Not to mention that this "Great Prajna Sutra" is still the true work of Ouyang Xun!

Now that the authentic works of the old man Ouyang Xun have appeared, can the other famous masters be far away?

Sure enough, Yang Jing selected one after another, and found other manuscripts of calligraphy masters in the early Tang Dynasty and even the Sui Dynasty, such as the authentic handwriting of Chu Suiliang, the authentic handwriting of Yu Shinan, and the authentic handwriting of Xue Ji.

As for the authentic works of Liu Gongquan or Yan Zhenqing, Yang Jing didn't want to find them here. When Wu Zetian died, neither Liu Gongquan nor Yan Zhenqing was born......

In addition to the authentic works of these masters, there are also some other authentic works of calligraphers of the Sui and Tang dynasties who are not very famous.

Anyway, the value of these hand-copied Buddhist scriptures far exceeds those gilded bronze Buddha statues just now, and they are definitely not inferior to those inscriptions left by Yuechengzi.

These Buddhist scriptures are well protected, after all, the tomb itself is airtight, and these Buddhist scriptures are contained in a brocade box made of golden silk nanmu that is known as "immortal for thousands of years".

Not to mention these Buddhist scriptures, even the bright yellow silk silks wrapped in the Buddhist scriptures in the brocade box have not faded much. This is enough to prove how well these sutras are protected.

It's definitely a big fortune this time!

First those extremely precious inscriptions, and then found those priceless Tang Dynasty gilded bronze Buddha statues, and now found these inestimable value of Buddhist scripture manuscripts, if this is not considered to be rich, it is estimated that there is nothing to make a fortune in this world.

It's no wonder that tomb robbing has been banned many times throughout the ages, and the whole world is like this, it is really a matter of making a fortune in this kind of thing.

It is said that "horses have no night grass and no fat, and people are not rich without windfalls", and even Cao Cao even set up a golden lieutenant to raise military salaries, which is enough to prove that the lack of morality such as tomb robbery can really make people rich overnight.

"Hehe, is buddy a tomb robber now?" Yang Jing began to become a little entangled......

However, after struggling for a while, Yang Jing simply put this question behind him and continued to explore the only remaining tomb on this floor.
